Na long dispela hap Isrel i wokim kem long pes bilong maunten. | For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount. |

Ol dispela em ol tok yu mas tok long em long ol pikinini bilong Isrel. | And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. |
| 7 | Na Moses i kam na singaut long ol lapun hetman bilong ol manmeri, na em i putim long pes bilong ol, olgeta bilong dispela tok BIKPELA i givim strongpela tok long em long dispela. | And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the Lord commanded him. |

Na Moses i kisim ol tok bilong ol manmeri i go bek long BIKPELA. | And all the people answered together, and said, All that the Lord hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the Lord. |

Na Moses i tokaut long BIKPELA long ol tok bilong ol manmeri. | And the Lord said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the Lord. |
| 10 | Na BIKPELA i tok long Moses, Go long ol manmeri na makim ol i klin tude na tumora, na larim ol i wasim klos bilong ol. | And the Lord said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes, |
| 11 | Na stap redi long namba tri de. Long wanem long namba tri de BIKPELA bai kam daun long ai bilong olgeta manmeri long maunten Sainai. | And be ready against the third day: for the third day the Lord will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai. |
| 12 | Na yu mas makim ples tambu long ol manmeri raun nabaut, na spik, was gut long yupela yet long yupela i no go antap long maunten, o tasim arere bilong em. Wanem man o meri i tasim dispela maunten, tru tumas ol i mas kilim em i dai. | And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death: |
| 13 | I no gat wanpela han i ken tasim dispela. Tasol sapos wanpela i mekim, tru tumas ol i mas tromoi ol ston long em bilong kilim em i dai, o sutim em long spia. Maski em i animal o man, em i no ken i stap laip. Taim biugel i krai longpela, ol bai kam antap klostu long maunten. | There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount. |
| 14 | Na Moses i go daun long maunten long ol manmeri, na em i makim ol manmeri i klin. Na ol i wasim klos bilong ol. | And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes. |
| 15 | Na em i tok long ol manmeri, Stap redi long namba tri de. No ken kam long ol meri bilong yupela. | And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at your wives. |
| 16 | ¶ Na em i kamap olsem long namba tri de long moningtaim, klaut i pairap na klaut i lait i kamap, na wanpela strongpela klaut i stap long maunten, na nek bilong biugel i krai strong tru, inap long olgeta manmeri i stap long kem ol i guria. | And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled. |
| 17 | Na Moses i bringim ol manmeri i kamaut long kem long bung wantaim God. Na ol i sanap long arere bilong maunten. | And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount. |

Na smok bilong dispela i go antap olsem smok bilong bikpela aven, na olgeta hap bilong maunten i seksek planti. | And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly. |
| 19 | Na taim nek bilong biugel i krai longpela taim, na i krai bikpela moa na moa, Moses i tok, na God i bekim long em long wanpela nek. | And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice. |
| 20 | Na BIKPELA i kam daun long maunten Sainai, long antap bilong maunten. Na BIKPELA i singaut long Moses long go antap long antap tru bilong maunten. Na Moses i go antap. | And the Lord came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the Lord called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up. |
| 21 | Na BIKPELA i tok long Moses, Go daun, na givim tok long ol manmeri, nogut ol i brukim tambu na kam long BIKPELA long lukluk, na planti bilong ol i dai pinis. | And the Lord said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto the Lord to gaze, and many of them perish. |
| 22 | Na tu larim ol pris husat i kam klostu long BIKPELA i makim ol yet i klin, nogut BIKPELA i kam hariap long ol bilong bagarapim ol. | And let the priests also, which come near to the Lord, sanctify themselves, lest the Lord break forth upon them. |
| 23 | Na Moses i tok long BIKPELA, Ol manmeri i no inap kam antap na kam long maunten Sainai. Long wanem Yu bin givim tok long mipela na spik, Makim arere nabaut long maunten na makim em i stap klin. | And Moses said unto the Lord, The people cannot come up to mount Sinai: for thou chargedst us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify it. |

Tasol yu no ken larim ol pris na ol manmeri i brukim tambu long kam antap long BIKPELA, nogut Em i kam hariap long ol bilong bagarapim ol. | And the Lord said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto the Lord, lest he break forth upon them. |
