¶ Nau, snek i gat tingting i antap tumas moa long olgeta wan wan animal bilong ples kunai husat God BIKPELA i bin wokim. Na em i tokim meri, Yes, ating God i tok, Yupela bai i no inap kaikai long olgeta diwai bilong gaden? Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Na meri i tokim snek, Mipela i ken kaikai kaikai bilong ol diwai bilong gaden. And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
Tasol kaikai bilong dispela diwai i stap long namel bilong gaden, God i bin tok, Yupela bai i no inap kaikai long en, na tu yupela bai i no inap tasim dispela, nogut yupela i dai. But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
Na snek i tokim meri, Tru tumas, yupela bai i no inap dai. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
Long wanem, God i save long de yupela i kaikai long en, nau ol ai bilong yupela bai op, na yupela bai stap olsem ol god, taim yupela i save long gutpela samting na samting nogut. For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
¶ Na taim meri i luksave long dispela diwai i gutpela bilong kaikai, na long em i naispela long ol ai, na wanpela diwai wanpela i ken laikim bilong mekim em i kamap saveman, em i kisim kaikai long en, na em i bin kaikai, na givim tu long man bilong em wantaim em. Na em i bin kaikai. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
Na ol ai bilong tupela i op, na tupela i save long ol i stap skin nating. Na tupela i samapim ol lip bilong diwai fik wantaim, na wokim ol epron bilong ol yet. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
Na tupela i harim nek bilong God BIKPELA taim Em i wokabaut long gaden long taim kol liklik bilong de. Na Adam na meri bilong em i haitim ol yet long pes bilong God BIKPELA namel long ol diwai bilong gaden. And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.
¶ Na God BIKPELA i singaut long Adam, na tokim em, Yu stap we? And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
Na Adam i tok, Mi harim nek bilong Yu long gaden, na mi pret, bilong wanem, mi stap skin nating. Na mi haitim mi yet. And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
¶ Na God i tok, Husat i tokim yu long yu stap skin nating? Yu bin kaikai long dispela diwai, we Mi givim tok strong long yu long yu no ken kaikai long en? And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
Na man i tok, Dispela meri husat Yu givim bilong stap wantaim mi, em i givim mi long dispela diwai, na mi bin kaikai. And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
Na God BIKPELA i tokim meri, Dispela yu bin mekim em i wanem samting? Na meri i tok, Snek i trikim mi, na mi bin kaikai. And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
¶ Na God BIKPELA i tokim snek, Bikos yu bin mekim dispela, tok nogut i stap antap long yu antap moa long olgeta bulmakau samting, na antap moa long olgeta wan wan animal bilong ples kunai. Antap long bel bilong yu bai yu wokabaut, na bai yu kaikai das olgeta de long laip bilong yu. And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
Na Mi bai putim pasin birua namel long yu na meri, na namel long pikinini kaikai bilong yu na pikinini kaikai bilong em. Dispela bai bagarapim het bilong yu, na yu bai bagarapim lek bilong em. And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
¶ Long meri Em i tok, Bel hevi bilong yu na hevi bilong yu taim yu kisim bel, Mi bai mekim i kamap planti moa tru. Long bel hevi yu bai karim ol pikinini. Na laik bilong yu bai stap long man bilong yu, na em bai bosim yu. Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
¶ Na long Adam Em i tok, Bikos yu bin bihainim nek bilong meri bilong yu, na yu bin kaikai long dispela diwai, dispela Mi bin givim tok strong long yu, i spik, Yu bai i no inap kaikai long en, tok nogut i stap antap long dispela graun bilong tingim nem bilong yu. Long bel hevi bai yu kaikai long en olgeta de bilong laip bilong yu. And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
Ol rop i gat nil tu na ol gras nogut bai em i karim long yu. Na yu bai kaikai sayor bilong bikpela gaden. Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
Long tuhat bilong pes bilong yu bai yu kaikai bret, inap long yu go bek long graun. Long wanem, ausait long en Mi bin kisim yu. Long wanem, yu stap das, na yu bai go bek long das. In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
¶ Na Adam i kolim nem bilong meri bilong em Iv. Bilong wanem, em i mama bilong olgeta i stap laip. And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
¶ Na long Adam tu na long meri bilong em God BIKPELA i wokim ol saket bilong ol skin, na putim klos long ol. Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
¶ Na God BIKPELA i tok, Lukim, man i kamap olsem wanpela bilong yumi, bilong save long gutpela samting na samting nogut. Na nau, nogut em i putim han bilong em i go ausait, na kisim tu bilong diwai bilong laip, na kaikai, na stap laip oltaim oltaim. And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
Olsem na God BIKPELA i salim em i go ausait long gaden bilong Iden, bilong brukim graun we God i kisim em long en. Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
Olsem tasol Em i ranim man i go ausait. Na Em i putim long hap sankamap bilong gaden bilong Iden ol Serupim, na wanpela bainat i paia, dispela i tanim nabaut long olgeta wan wan hap, bilong lukautim rot bilong diwai bilong laip. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
