¶ Olsem tasol ol heven na dispela graun i pinis, na olgeta bikpela lain bilong ol. | Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
Na long de namba seven God i pinisim wok bilong Em, dispela Em i bin wokim. Na Em i malolo long de namba seven long olgeta wok bilong Em, dispela Em i bin wokim. | And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Na God i blesim de namba seven, na mekim dispela i kamap holi. Bilong wanem, insait long en Em i bin malolo long olgeta wok bilong Em, dispela God i kamapim long nating na wokim. | And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
¶ Ol dispela em ol kamapim bilong ol heven na bilong dispela dispela graun taim God i kamapim ol long nating, long dispela de long God BIKPELA i wokim dispela graun na ol heven, | These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,

Long wanem, God BIKPELA i no bin mekim ren long pundaun antap long dispela graun, na i no gat wanpela man bilong brukim graun. | And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. |
Tasol sno wara i kamap long graun na givim wara long antap bilong olgeta hap bilong graun. | But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
Na God BIKPELA i wokim man long das bilong dispela graun, na winim win bilong laip i go insait long tupela hul bilong nus bilong em. Na man i kamap tewel i stap laip. | And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
¶ Na God BIKPELA i planim wanpela gaden long hap sankamap insait long Iden. Na Em i putim long dispela hap dispela man husat Em i bin wokim. | And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

Diwai bilong laip tu i stap insait long namel long gaden, na diwai bilong save long gutpela pasin na pasin nogut. | And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. |
Na wanpela riva i lusim Iden i go ausait bilong givim wara long gaden. Na long dispela hap em i bruk, na kamap fopela het bilong wara. | And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.
Nem bilong namba wan em Paisan. Dispela em dispela husat i raunim olgeta hap bilong Havila, we gol i stap. | The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;
Na gol bilong dispela hap em i gutpela. Long dispela hap bedeliam na ston oneks i stap. | And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.
Na nem bilong namba tu riva em Gihon. Dispela stret em dispela husat i save raunim olgeta hap bilong Itiopia. | And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.
Na nem bilong namba tri riva em Hidikel. Dispela em dispela husat i go long sait sankamap bilong Asiria. Na namba foa riva em Yufretis. | And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.
Na God BIKPELA i kisim man, na putim em insait long gaden bilong Iden bilong wokim dispela na bilong lukautim dispela. | And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
¶ Na God BIKPELA i tok strong long dispela man, i spik, Long olgeta diwai bilong dispela gaden yu ken kaikai long laik bilong yu. | And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
Tasol long diwai bilong save bilong gutpela pasin na pasin nogut, yu bai i no inap kaikai long en. Long wanem, long de yu kaikai long en, tru tumas, yu bai dai. | But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
¶ Na God BIKPELA i tok, Em i no gutpela long man i ken stap wanpis. Mi bai wokim bilong em wanpela helpim i fit stret long em. | And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
Na ausait long graun God BIKPELA i wokim olgeta wan wan animal bilong ples kunai, na olgeta wan wan pisin bilong skai. Na Em i bringim ol long Adam bilong luksave long em bai i kolim ol wanem. Na wanem nem Adam i kolim olgeta wan wan samting i stap laip, dispela em i nem bilong en. | And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
Na Adam i givim ol nem long olgeta bulmakau samting, na long ol pisin bilong skai, na long olgeta wan wan animal bilong ples kunai. Tasol long Adam, God i no lukim wanpela helpim i fit stret long em. | And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
¶ Na God BIKPELA i mekim wanpela slip i dai i dip tru long pundaun antap long Adam, na em i slip. Na Em i kisim wanpela bilong ol bun bilong banis bilong em, na pasim bodi gen i kisim ples bilong en. | And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
Na dispela bun bilong banis, dispela God BIKPELA i bin kisim long man, Em i wokim i kamap wanpela meri, na bringim em i kam long man. | And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
Na Adam i tok, Dispela nau em i bun bilong ol bun bilong mi, na bodi bilong bodi bilong mi. Ol bai kolim em Meri, bilong wanem, God i kisim em i kam ausait long Man. | And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
Olsem na bai wanpela man i lusim papa bilong em na mama bilong em, na em bai holimpas strong meri bilong em. Na tupela bai stap wanpela bodi. | Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
Na tupela i stap skin nating, dispela man na meri bilong em, na tupela i no sem. | And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
