절King Jems Pisin BaibelKing James Version
¶ Long wanem, olgeta dispela samting mi bin tingim na skelim long bel bilong mi, yes bilong tokaut long olgeta dispela, long ol stretpela man, na ol saveman, na ol wok bilong ol, i stap long han bilong God. I no gat man i save long laikim tru o pasin bilong i hetim long olgeta samting i stap bipo long ol. For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God: no man knoweth either love or hatred by all that is before them.
Olgeta samting i kamap wankain long olgeta. I gat wanpela kain samting long ol stretpela man, na long ol man nogut, long ol gutpela man na long ol klinpela man, na long ol man i no klin, long man husat i wokim sakrifais, na long man husat i no wokim sakrifais. Olsem gutpela man i stap, olsem tasol sinman i stap, na em husat i wokim strongpela promis, olsem em husat i pretim strongpela promis. All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.
Dispela em i wanpela samting nogut namel long olgeta dispela samting ol i wokim aninit long san, long em i gat wanpela kain samting i go long olgeta. Yes, bel bilong ol pikinini man bilong ol man tu em i pulap long pasin nogut, na tingting i longlong i stap insait long bel bilong ol taim ol i stap laip, na bihain long taim ol i go long ol daiman. This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.
¶ Long wanem, long man husat i pas wantaim olgeta man i stap laip, i gat hop. Long wanem, dok i gat laip i gutpela moa long laion i dai pinis. For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.
Long wanem, ol man i stap laip i save long ol bai dai, tasol ol daiman i no save long wanpela samting, na tu ol i no gat wanpela pe moa liklik. Long wanem, bilong tingim ol gen, ol man i lusim tingting. For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
Na tu laikim tru bilong ol, na het bilong ol, na mangal tingting bilong ol, em i lus nau. Na tu ol i no gat wanpela hap skel moa liklik bilong oltaim oltaim long wanpela samting long ol man i wokim aninit long san. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.
Go long rot bilong yu, kaikai bret bilong yu wantaim amamas tru, na dringim wain bilong yu wantaim bel i amamas. Long wanem, nau God i orait long ol wok bilong yu. Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.
Larim ol klos bilong yu stap waitpela oltaim. Na larim het bilong yu i no ken sot long wel i gat marasin. Let thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack no ointment.
Stap amamas tru wantaim meri bilong yu husat yu laikim tru olgeta de bilong dispela laip nating bilong yu, dispela Em i bin givim yu aninit long san, olgeta de bilong samting bilong nating yu. Long wanem, dispela em i hap skel bilong yu long dispela laip, na long hatwok bilong yu, dispela yu kisim aninit long san. Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.
Wanem samting han bilong yu i painim bilong mekim, mekim dispela wantaim strong bilong yu. Long wanem, i no gat wok, o plen, o save, o save tru, long matmat, we yu bai go. Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
¶ Mi bin go bek, na luksave aninit long san, long resis em i no bilong man bilong hariap, o pait long man i strong, na tu yet bret long saveman, o yet ol planti mani samting long ol man bilong gutpela save, o yet helpim long ol man i gat save long wok. Tasol taim na sans nating i kamap long ol olgeta. I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
Long wanem, man tu i no save long taim bilong em. Olsem ol pis husat ol i kisim long umben nogut, na olsem ol pisin husat ol i kisim long trap, olsem tasol ol i trapim ol pikinini man bilong ol man long wanpela taim nogut, taim dispela i kamap wantu antap long ol. For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.
¶ Dispela save tru mi bin lukim tu aninit long san, na dispela i luk olsem em i bikpela samting long mi. This wisdom have I seen also under the sun, and it seemed great unto me:
I gat wanpela liklik biktaun i stap, na i no gat planti man insait long en. Na wanpela bikpela king i kam birua long en, na pasim biktaun, na wokim ol bikpela ples hait bilong pait i birua long en. There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it:
Nau ol i painim pinis insait long en wanpela saveman husat i rabisman, na em, long save tru bilong em, i kisim bek biktaun. Yet i no gat man i holim tingting long dispela rabisman stret. Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man.
Nau mi tok, Save tru i gutpela moa long strong. Tasol ol man i tingim save tru bilong rabisman em i samting nating, na ol toktok bilong em ol i no harim. Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.
Ol man i harim ol toktok bilong ol saveman long ples i no gat nois moa long singaut bilong man husat i bosim namel long ol krankiman. The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools.
Save tru em i gutpela moa long ol samting bilong pait bilong bikpela pait. Tasol wanpela sinman i bagarapim planti gutpela samting olgeta. Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.
