절King Jems Pisin BaibelKing James Version
¶ Ol lang i dai pinis i mekim wel i gat marasin bilong man bilong wokim sanda long salim i go ausait wanpela smel i sting. Olsem tasol liklik longlong pasin i mekim olsem long em husat i gat nem bilong save tru na ona. Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking savour: so doth a little folly him that is in reputation for wisdom and honour.
Bel bilong saveman i stap long han sut bilong em. Tasol bel bilong krankiman i stap long han kais bilong em. A wise man’s heart is at his right hand; but a fool’s heart at his left.
Yes tu, taim man husat i krankiman i wokabaut klostu long rot, save tru bilong em i felim em, na em i tokim olgeta wan wan man long em i wanpela krankiman. Yea also, when he that is a fool walketh by the way, his wisdom faileth him, and he saith to every one that he is a fool.
¶ Sapos spirit bilong hetman i kirap na birua long yu, yu no ken lusim ples bilong yu. Long wanem, taim man i givim spes, dispela i kolim bel ol i bagarapim bikpela. If the spirit of the ruler rise up against thee, leave not thy place; for yielding pacifieth great offences.
I gat wanpela samting nogut mi bin lukim aninit long san, olsem wanpela rong i kam long hetman. There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, as an error which proceedeth from the ruler:
Ol man i putim longlong pasin long ples i gat bikpela namba tru, tasol ol maniman i sindaun long ples daunbilo. Folly is set in great dignity, and the rich sit in low place.
Mi bin lukim ol wokboi antap long ol hos, na ol hetman i wokabaut olsem ol wokboi long graun. I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth.
Man husat i digim wanpela bikpela hul bai pundaun insait long en. Na husat man i brukim banis bilong liklik bus, wanpela snek nogut bai kaikaim em. He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.
Husat i rausim ol ston bai kisim pen wantaim ol. Na em husat i brukim diwai bai em i ken kisim bagarap long en. Whoso removeth stones shall be hurt therewith; and he that cleaveth wood shall be endangered thereby.
Sapos ain i no sap, na man i no sapim sap bilong en, orait em i mas yusim sampela strong moa. Tasol save tru em i helpim bilong stiaim. If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength: but wisdom is profitable to direct.
Tru tumas, snek nogut bai kaikaim man taim i no gat poisin pasin. Na wanpela man bilong toktok nating i no gutpela moa long em. Surely the serpent will bite without enchantment; and a babbler is no better.
¶ Ol toktok bilong maus bilong saveman i pulap long pasin bilong soim marimari. Tasol ol lip bilong krankiman bai daunim em yet olgeta olsem kaikai. The words of a wise man’s mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself.
Stat bilong ol toktok bilong maus bilong em em i kranki pasin. Na pinis bilong toktok bilong em em i tingting i longlong i gat bagarap pasin long en. The beginning of the words of his mouth is foolishness: and the end of his talk is mischievous madness.
Krankiman tu em i pulap long ol toktok. Wanpela man i no inap save long wanem samting bai kamap. Na wanem samting bai kamap bihain long em, husat i ken long tokim em? A fool also is full of words: a man cannot tell what shall be; and what shall be after him, who can tell him?
Hatwok bilong krankiman i mekim olgeta wan wan bilong ol i les tru, bilong wanem, em i no save long rot bilong go long biktaun. The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.
¶ Tok lukaut i go long yu, O graun, taim king bilong yu em i wanpela pikinini, na ol hetman bilong yu i kaikai long moningtaim! Woe to thee, O land, when thy king is a child, and thy princes eat in the morning!
Blesing i stap long yu, O graun, taim king bilong yu em i pikinini man bilong ol bikman, na ol hetman bilong yu i kaikai long taim bilong en stret, bilong kisim strong, na i no bilong pulap olgeta tumas! Blessed art thou, O land, when thy king is the son of nobles, and thy princes eat in due season, for strength, and not for drunkenness!
Long planti les pasin haus i bruk isi isi. Na long ol han i no laik wok haus bai bruk i go daun. By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through.
Ol i wokim bikpela kaikai bilong pasin bilong lap, na wain i mekim man i amamas. Tasol mani i bekim olgeta samting. A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things.
No ken toknogutim king, nogat, no ken mekim long tingting bilong yu. Na no ken toknogutim maniman long rum bilong slip bilong yu. Long wanem, wanpela pisin bilong skai bai karim dispela nek, na dispela samting i gat ol wing bai tokaut long dispela samting. Curse not the king, no not in thy thought; and curse not the rich in thy bedchamber: for a bird of the air shall carry the voice, and that which hath wings shall tell the matter.
