¶ Long olgeta wan wan samting i gat taim bilong en, na taim bilong olgeta wan wan as bilong wok aninit long heven. | To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
I gat taim bilong kamap nupela, na taim bilong dai. I gat taim bilong planim, na taim bilong kamautim dispela samting ol i planim. | A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
I gat taim bilong kilim i dai, na taim bilong oraitim sik. I gat taim bilong brukim samting i go daun, na taim bilong wokim samting i go antap. | A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
I gat taim bilong krai tru, na taim bilong lap. I gat taim bilong soim sori, na taim bilong danis. | A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
I gat taim bilong tromoi ol ston i go, na taim bilong bungim ol ston wantaim. I gat taim bilong holimpas, na taim bilong holim bek long mekim pasin bilong holimpas. | A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
I gat taim bilong kisim, na taim bilong samting i go lus. I gat taim bilong holimpas, na taim bilong tromoi i go. | A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
I gat taim bilong brukim, na taim bilong samapim. I gat taim bilong pasim maus, na taim bilong toktok. | A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
I gat taim bilong laikim tru, na taim bilong het. I gat taim bilong bikpela pait, na taim bilong bel isi. | A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
Man i mekim wok i bin winim wanem samting long dispela we em i hatwok insait long en? | What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?
Mi bin lukim hatwok wantaim pen, dispela God i bin givim long ol pikinini man bilong ol man bilong hatwok insait long en. | I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
¶ Em i bin mekim olgeta wan wan samting i naispela tru long taim bilong Em. Na tu Em i bin putim dispela graun insait long bel bilong ol, inap long i no gat wanpela man i ken painimaut dispela wok God i wokim long stat i go inap long pinis. | He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
Mi save long i no gat gutpela samting i stap insait long ol, tasol long man i ken wokim amamas tru, na mekim gutpela pasin long laip bilong em. | I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.
Na tu long olgeta wan wan man i ken kaikai na dring, na amamas tru long gutpela samting bilong olgeta hatwok bilong em, dispela em i presen bilong God. | And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.
Mi save long, wanem samting God i mekim, dispela bai stap oltaim oltaim. I no gat wanpela samting ol i ken putim long en, o rausim wanpela samting long en. Na God i mekim dispela, inap long ol man i ken pret long ai bilong Em. | I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.
Dispela samting i bin stap bipo i stap nau. Na dispela samting i bilong kamap yet i bin kamap pinis bipo. Na God i strong long askim long dispela samting i pinis. | That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.
¶ Na moa tu mi lukim aninit long san dispela ples bilong kot, long pasin nogut i stap long en. Na mi lukim ples bilong stretpela pasin, long sin nogut i stap long dispela hap. | And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.
Mi toktok insait long bel bilong mi, God bai jasim ol stretpela man na ol man nogut. Long wanem, i gat taim bilong olgeta wan wan as bilong wok na bilong olgeta wan wan wok. | I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.
Mi toktok insait long bel bilong mi long sait bilong sindaun bilong ol pikinini man bilong ol man, long God i ken mekim ol i kamap ples klia, na long ol i ken luksave long ol ol yet i stap ol animal. | I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.
Long wanem, dispela samting i kamap long ol pikinini man bilong ol man i kamap long ol animal. Yes, wanpela samting i kamap long tupela wantaim. Olsem wanpela i dai, olsem tasol arapela i dai. Yes, olgeta i gat wanpela win, inap long man i no gat nambawan namba antap long animal. Long wanem, olgeta em i samting nating. | For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.
Olgeta i go long wanpela ples. Olgeta i bilong das, na olgeta i tanim long kamap das gen. | All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
Husat i save long spirit bilong man, dispela i go antap, na spirit bilong animal, dispela i go daun long dispela graun? | Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?
Olsem na mi kisim save long i no gat wanpela samting i winim dispela, long wanpela man i ken wokim amamas tru long wok bilong em yet. Long wanem, dispela em i hap skel bilong em. Long wanem, husat bai bringim em bilong lukim wanem samting bai stap bihain long em? | Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?
