절King Jems Pisin BaibelKing James Version
¶ Pikinini man bilong mi, sapos yu sanap baksait long dinau bilong pren bilong yu, sapos yu bin paitim han bilong yu wantaim ausait man, My son, if thou be surety for thy friend, if thou hast stricken thy hand with a stranger,
Ol toktok bilong maus bilong yu i trapim yu pinis, ol toktok bilong maus bilong yu i holimpas yu pinis. Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.
Mekim dispela nau, pikinini man bilong mi, na kisim bek yu yet, taim yu kam long han long pren bilong yu. Go, daunim yu yet, na strongim pasin pren wantaim pren bilong yu. Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come into the hand of thy friend; go, humble thyself, and make sure thy friend.
No ken givim slip long ai bilong yu, o taim bilong pasim ai long tupela ai bilong yu. Give not sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids.
Kisim bek yu yet olsem ro long han bilong man bilong painim abus, na olsem pisin long han bilong man bilong painim pisin. Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.
¶ Go long anis, yu lesman. Tingim na skelim ol pasin bilong em, na stap saveman, Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
Husat i no gat man bilong soim rot, bosman, o hetman, Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
I save redim kaikai bilong em long taim bilong biksan, na bungim kaikai bilong em long taim bilong kamautim kaikai. Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.
Yu bai slip inap long wanem taim, O lesman? Wanem taim bai yu kirap long slip bilong yu? How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
Liklik slip tasol, liklik taim bilong pasim ai, liklik taim bilong ol han i tanim long ol yet bilong slip, Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
Olsem tasol bai rabisman pasin bilong yu i kamap olsem wanpela husat i save raun, na nid bilong yu olsem man i save holim samting bilong pait. So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.
¶ Man bilong pasin nogut, man nogut, i save wokabaut wantaim maus i bikhet. A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.
Em i brukim ai bilong em, em i toktok wantaim lek bilong em, em i skulim man long ol pinga bilong em. He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;
Bikhet pasin i stap long bel bilong em, em i kamapim plen bilong hambak pasin oltaim. Em i planim pasin pait. Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.
Olsem na bagarap bilong em bai kam wantu. Wantu bai em i bruk, na em i no inap kamap orait gen. Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.
BIKPELA i no laikim tru dispela sikispela samting. Yes, sevenpela i sting samting long Em, These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
Hambak lukluk, tang i mekim tok giaman, na ol han i kapsaitim blut i no bin mekim rong, A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
Bel i kamapim plen bilong ol tingting nating nogut, ol lek i hariap long ran i go long hambak pasin, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
Giaman witnes husat i mekim ol tok giaman, na em husat i planim hevi namel long ol brata. A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
¶ Pikinini man bilong mi, holimpas strongpela tok bilong papa bilong yu, na no ken givim baksait long lo bilong mama bilong yu. My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
Pasim ol long bel bilong yu oltaim, na pasim ol nabaut long nek bilong yu. Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.
Taim yu go, em bai stiaim yu. Taim yu slip, em bai lukautim yu. Na taim yu kirap long slip, em bai toktok wantaim yu. When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.
Long wanem, dispela strongpela tok em i lam. Na lo em i lait. Na ol tok skul bilong stretim man ol i rot bilong laip, For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
Bilong holimpas yu bek long meri nogut, long tok gris bilong tang bilong narakain meri. To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.
No ken aigris i bihainim naispela pes tru bilong em long bel bilong yu. Na tu yu no ken larim em kisim yu wantaim ol laplap bilong ai bilong em. Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.
Long wanem, long wok bilong pamuk meri, em i bringim man long wanpela hap bret. Na meri bilong bagarapim marit long pamuk pasin bai wok long painim laip i dia tumas. For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.
Ating man inap kisim paia i kam long bros bilong en, na paia i no inap kukim klos bilong en? Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?
Ating wanpela i ken wokabaut antap long ol hatpela sakol, na dispela i no inap kukim ol lek bilong en? Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?
Em husat i go long meri bilong man i stap klostu long em i olsem. Husat man i tasim dispela meri bai i no inap stap man i no bin mekim rong. So he that goeth in to his neighbour’s wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.
Ol man i no save tingim stilman olsem em i samting nating, sapos em i stil bilong inapim tewel bilong em taim em i hangre. Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry;
Tasol sapos ol i painimaut em, em bai bekim sevenpela taim. Em bai givim olgeta samting bilong haus bilong em. But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.
Tasol husat man i bagarapim marit long pamuk pasin wantaim meri, i no gat gutpela save. Em husat i mekim dispela i bagarapim tewel bilong em yet olgeta. But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.
Bai em i kisim bagarap na nem nogut. Na ol bai i no gat rot long rausim sem bilong em. A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.
Long wanem, pasin jeles em i kirapim belhat nogut tru bilong man. Olsem na, long de bilong bekim pe, em bai i no inap gat marimari. For jealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.
Em bai i no inap tingim gut pe bilong baim bek. Na tu em bai i no inap stap isi, maski yu givim planti presen. He will not regard any ransom; neither will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts.
