절King Jems Pisin BaibelKing James Version
¶ Ol toktok bilong Agur, pikinini man bilong Jake, yes, tok profet. Dispela man i tok long Itiel, yes, long Itiel na Ukal olsem, The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel, even unto Ithiel and Ucal,
Tru tumas, mi stap olsem animal moa long wanpela man, na mi no gat gutpela save bilong wanpela man. Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man.
Na tu mi no bin lainim save tru, na tu mi no gat save long samting i holi. I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy.
Husat i bin go antap long heven, o kam daun? Husat i bin bungim win long ol han bilong en i pas bilong pait? Husat i bin pasim ol wara long wanpela klos? Husat i bin strongim olgeta hap bilong dispela graun? Wanem em i nem bilong Em, na wanem em i nem bilong pikinini man bilong Em, sapos yu inap long tokaut? Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?
Olgeta wan wan tok bilong God em i klin. Em i plang long ol husat i putim bilip bilong ol long Em. Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Yu no ken skruim samting long ol toktok bilong Em, nogut Em i krosim yu, na ol i painimaut pinis yu man bilong giaman. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
¶ Tupela samting mi bin askim long Yu. No ken tok nogat long mi long ol bipo mi dai. Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die:
Tekewe pasin nating na ol tok giaman i go longwe long mi. No ken mekim mi kamap rabisman o givim mi planti mani samting. Givim mi kaikai wantaim kaikai i fit long skel bilong mi. Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
Nogut mi stap pulap, na tok nogat long Yu, na tok, BIKPELA em i husat? O nogut mi stap rabisman, na stil, na kolim nating nem bilong God bilong mi. Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the Lord? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.
¶ No ken sutim tok long wanpela wokboi long bikman bilong em, nogut em i tok nogutim yu, na ol i painimaut pinis long yu gat asua. Accuse not a servant unto his master, lest he curse thee, and thou be found guilty.
I gat wanpela lain manmeri husat i tok nogutim papa bilong ol, na ol i no blesim mama bilong ol. There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.
I gat wanpela lain manmeri husat i stap klin long ol ai bilong ol yet, na yet ol i no bin waswas long rausim pasin doti bilong ol. There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
I gat wanpela lain manmeri, O ol ai bilong ol i antap tru olsem wanem! Na ol i apim ol laplap bilong ai bilong ol. There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.
I gat wanpela lain manmeri, husat ol tit bilong ol i olsem ol bainat, na ol tit bilong wasket bilong ol i olsem ol naip, bilong kaikai ol rabisman olgeta long dispela graun na rausim ol man i gat nid long namel bilong ol man. There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.
¶ Bikpela snek bilong dringim blut i gat tupela pikinini meri, i singaut, Givim, givim. I gat tripela samting i no ting samting em inap tru, yes, fopela samting i no save tok, Em inap, The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough:
Matmat, na bel i no karim pikinini, graun i no pulap long wara, na paia i no save tok, Em inap. The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough.
Ai i wokim pani bilong daunim papa bilong em, na i tingim pasin bilong bihainim tok bilong mama bilong em i samting nating, ol kotkot bilong ples daun bai rausim dispela i go ausait, na ol yangpela igal bai kaikai dispela. The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.
¶ I gat tripela samting i winim tingting tumas long mi, yes, fopela samting mi no save long ol, There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not:
Pasin bilong igal long skai, pasin bilong snek antap long ston, pasin bilong sip namel long solwara, na pasin bilong man wantaim yangpela meri. The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid.
Kain pasin bilong meri i bagarapim marit long pasin pamuk em i olsem, em i kaikai, na em i klinim maus bilong em, na tok, Mi no bin mekim pasin nogut. Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.
Long tripela samting dispela graun i no stap isi, na long fopela samting em i no inap karim, For three things the earth is disquieted, and for four which it cannot bear:
Long wokboi taim em i bosim kingdom, na long krankiman taim em i pulap wantaim kaikai, For a servant when he reigneth; and a fool when he is filled with meat;
Long meri bilong bagarapim bel taim em i marit, na long wokmeri husat bai kisim ol samting bilong bosmeri bilong en bihain. For an odious woman when she is married; and an handmaid that is heir to her mistress.
¶ I gat fopela samting i liklik long dispela graun, tasol ol i gat save tru moa yet. There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise:
Ol anis i wanpela lain i no strong, tasol ol i redim kaikai bilong ol long taim bilong biksan. The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer;
Ol koni i ol lain i no gat strong tasol, yet ol i wokim ol haus bilong ol long ol ston. The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks;
Ol grasop i no gat king, tasol olgeta bilong ol i go ausait long ol liklik lain ami. The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands;
Spaida i holim ol samting wantaim ol han bilong en, na em i stap long ol haus bilong ol king. The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings’ palaces.
¶ I gat tripela samting i go gutpela, yes, fopela i orait tru long wokabaut bilong ol, There be three things which go well, yea, four are comely in going:
Laion husat i strong moa namel long olgeta animal, na i no save tanim na ranawe long wanpela samting, A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any;
Grehaun, meme man tu, na king husat i no gat man i ken kirap bilong birua long em. A greyhound; an he goat also; and a king, against whom there is no rising up.
Sapos yu bin mekim kranki pasin long yu litimapim yu yet, o sapos yu bin tingting long samting nogut, orait slipim han bilong yu antap long maus bilong yu. If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or if thou hast thought evil, lay thine hand upon thy mouth.
Tru tumas, wok bilong tantanim susu i bringim bata i kam ausait, na wok bilong tantanim nus i bringim blut i kam ausait. Olsem tasol wok bilong bringim man i kisim belhat tru i mekim pait i kam ausait. Surely the churning of milk bringeth forth butter, and the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood: so the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife.
