절King Jems Pisin BaibelKing James Version
¶ Long laik bilong man, taim em i brukim em yet long ol arapela, em i painim na wokim wok wantaim olgeta save tru. Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom.
¶ Krankiman i no gat gutpela amamas long gutpela save, tasol em i laikim long bel bilong em i ken kamapim ples klia bel bilong em yet. A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.
¶ Taim man nogut i kam, nau bikpela sem i kam tu, na sem i kam wantaim nem nogut. When the wicked cometh, then cometh also contempt, and with ignominy reproach.
¶ Ol toktok bilong maus bilong man i olsem ol wara i dip, na hul wara i ran bilong save tru i olsem liklik wara i ran. The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook.
¶ Em i no gutpela long orait long namba bilong man nogut, bilong bagarapim ol stretpela man long kot. It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment.
¶ Maus bilong krankiman i go insait long pait, na maus bilong em i singaut long ol paitim bilong wip. A fool’s lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes.
Maus bilong krankiman em i bagarap olgeta bilong em, na maus bilong en em i trap bilong tewel bilong em. A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.
¶ Ol toktok bilong man bilong karim stori i olsem ol bagarap birua i givim, na ol i go daun insait long ol hap insait tru bilong bel. The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.
¶ Man tu husat i lesman long wok bilong en em i brata bilong em husat i tromoi nating planti samting. He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.
¶ Nem bilong BIKPELA em i strongpela taua. Stretpela man i ran i go insait long en, na em i stap gut. The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
¶ Planti mani samting bilong maniman em strongpela biktaun bilong em, na olsem wanpela banis i antap long hambak pasin bilong em yet. The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit.
¶ Bipo long bagarap olgeta i kam, bel bilong man i tingim em yet i nambawan, na bipo long ona i kam, pasin bilong man i daunim em yet i stap. Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility.
¶ Em husat i bekim tok long samting bipo em i harim dispela, dispela em i longlong pasin na sem long em. He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.
¶ Spirit bilong man bai inapim em taim bodi i gat sik. Tasol spirit i kisim bagarap, husat i ken karim? The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?
¶ Bel bilong man bilong yusim save i kisim save. Na ia bilong saveman i wok long painim save. The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.
¶ Presen bilong man i givim spes long em, na i bringim em i kam long ai bilong ol bikman. A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.
¶ Em husat i stap namba wan long wari bilong em yet i luk olsem em i stretpela. Tasol man i stap klostu long em i kam na painimaut em. He that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbour cometh and searcheth him.
¶ Satu i save mekim ol pait long pinis, na brukim hap namel long ol strongpela man. The lot causeth contentions to cease, and parteth between the mighty.
¶ Bel bilong brata yu bagarapim i hat moa long winim long wanpela strongpela biktaun. Na ol pait bilong ol i olsem ol ba bilong haus bilong king. A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.
¶ Bel bilong man bai ting kaikai bilong maus bilong em em inap tru. Na wantaim kaikai bilong maus bilong em em bai pulap. A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.
¶ Dai na laip i stap long pawa bilong tang. Na ol husat i laikim tru dispela bai kaikai kaikai bilong en. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
¶ Husat man i painim pinis meri i kisim wanpela gutpela samting, na kisim gutpela amamas long BIKPELA. Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.
¶ Rabisman i yusim ol strongpela askim. Tasol maniman i bekim wantaim strongpela tok. The poor useth intreaties; but the rich answereth roughly.
¶ Man husat i gat ol pren i mas soim em yet olsem pren. Na i gat wanpela pren husat i pas klostu moa long wanpela brata i pas klostu. A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
