|---|---|---|
¶ Husat man i laikim tru tok skul i laikim tru save. Tasol em husat i no laikim tru strongpela tok bilong sutim bel i olsem animal. | Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.
¶ Gutpela man i kisim gutpela amamas bilong BIKPELA. Tasol man bilong kamapim plen nogut, Em bai mekim em i lus long kot. | A good man obtaineth favour of the Lord: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.
¶ Pasin nogut bai i no inap strongim man. Tasol rop daunbilo bilong stretpela man bai i no inap surik. | A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.
¶Meri bilong gutpela pasin em i hat king bilong man bilong en. Tasol meri husat i givim sem em i olsem samting i sting long bun bilong man bilong en. | A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.
¶ Ol tingting bilong stretpela man i stretpela. Tasol ol tok helpim bilong man nogut i giaman samting. | The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.
¶ Ol toktok bilong man nogut em bilong wet hait bilong kapsaitim blut. Tasol maus bilong ol stretpela man bai kisim bek ol. | The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.
¶ Ol i tromoi i go daun ol man nogut, na ol i no stap. Tasol haus bilong ol stretpela man bai sanap. | The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.
¶ Man bai kisim biknem bilong bihainim save tru bilong em. Tasol em husat i gat bel i paul, ol bai i tingim em i samting nating. | A man shall be commended according to his wisdom: but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.
¶Em husat ol arapela i tingim em i samting nating, na i gat wanpela wokboi, i winim em husat i givim ona long em yet, na i sot long kaikai. | He that is despised, and hath a servant, is better than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread.
¶ Stretpela man i lukautim gut laip bilong animal bilong em. Tasol ol sori i isi moa bilong man nogut i samting i amamas long givim pen. | A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
¶ Em husat i brukim graun bilong em bai ting em i inap tru long bret. Tasol em husat i bihainim ol man nating i sot olgeta long gutpela save. | He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.
¶ Man nogut i gat laik long umben bilong ol man nogut. Tasol rop daunbilo bilong stretpela man i givim kaikai. | The wicked desireth the net of evil men: but the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit.
¶ Pasin bilong kalapim lo bilong maus bilong man nogut i trapim em pinis. Tasol stretpela man bai kam ausait long hevi. | The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.
¶ Long kaikai bilong maus bilong em, man bai ting ol gutpela samting em inap tru. Na ol bai givim pe long man long wok bilong tupela han bilong em. | A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him.
¶ Rot bilong krankiman em i stretpela long ai bilong em yet. Tasol em husat i harim tok helpim em saveman. | The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
¶ Belhat tru bilong krankiman i kamap ples klia kwiktaim. Tasol man bilong yusim save i karamapim sem. | A fool’s wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame.
¶Em husat i autim tok tru i soim stretpela pasin i kam ausait. Tasol giaman witnes i soim pasin giaman. | He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.
¶ I gat man husat i toktok olsem ol sut bilong bainat. Tasol tang bilong saveman em i samting i mekim bodi i stap orait. | There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.
¶ Maus bilong tok tru bai stap strong oltaim oltaim. Tasol tang i tok giaman i bilong sotpela taim tasol. | The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
¶ Pasin giaman i stap long bel bilong ol husat i tingting nating long pasin nogut. Tasol amamas tru i stap long ol man i givim tok helpim bilong bel isi. | Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.
¶ I no gat samting nogut bai kamap long stretpela man. Tasol man nogut bai pulap long hambak pasin. | There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.
¶ Ol maus i giaman i sting samting long BIKPELA. Tasol ol husat i mekim pasin i tru i gutpela amamas bilong Em. | Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.
¶ Man bilong yusim save i haitim save. Tasol bel bilong ol krankiman i telimautim kranki pasin. | A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.
¶ Han bilong man i wok strong bai bosim arapela. Tasol lesman bai stap aninit long takis. | The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.
¶ Hevi insait long bel bilong man i mekim bel i lindaun. Tasol gutpela tok i mekim bel i amamas. | Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.
¶ Stretpela man i stap nambawan moa long man i stap klostu long em. Tasol pasin bilong ol man nogut i pulim ol. | The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.
¶ Lesman i no save kukim long paia dispela samting em i kisim taim em i painim abus. Tasol ol samting bilong man i wok strong em i dia tumas. | The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.
¶ Long rot bilong stretpela pasin laip i stap. Na long liklik rot bilong en i no gat dai. | In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.
