1 ¶ Na moa tu Ilaihu i bekim na tok, Furthermore Elihu answered and said,
2 Harim ol toktok bilong mi, O yupela saveman. Na givim ia long mi, yupela husat i gat save. Hear my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.
3 Long wanem, ia i traim ol toktok, olsem maus i testim ol kaikai. For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat.
4 Larim yumi makim bilong yumi gutpela kot. Larim yumi save namel long yumi yet wanem samting i gutpela. Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good.
5 Long wanem, Jop i bin tok, Mi stap stretpela. Na God i bin tekewe kot bilong mi. For Job hath said, I am righteous: and God hath taken away my judgment.
6 Ating mi ken giaman i birua long stretpela pasin bilong mi? I no gat rot bilong stretim bagarap bilong mi em na i no gat pasin bilong kalapim lo. Should I lie against my right? my wound is incurable without transgression.
7 Wanem man em i olsem Jop, husat i dringim sem bilong tok bilas olsem wara? What man is like Job, who drinketh up scorning like water?
8 Husat i go raun wantaim ol man bilong wokim pasin nogut, na wokabaut wantaim ol man nogut. Which goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men.
9 Long wanem, em i bin tok, Em i no inap helpim man liklik long em i ken amamasim em yet wantaim God. For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.
10 ¶ Olsem na harim long mi, yupela ol man bilong gutpela save. I mas stap longwe long God, long Em i ken mekim pasin nogut, na long Man i Gat Olgeta Strong, long Em i ken mekim sin nogut. Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.
11 Long wanem, wok bilong wanpela man bai Em i bekim i go long em, na mekim olgeta wan wan man long painimaut bilong bihainim ol rot bilong em. For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.
12 Yes, tru tumas, God bai i no inap mekim pasin nogut, na tu Man i Gat Olgeta Strong bai i no inap paulim kot. Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.
13 Husat i bin givim Em wanpela wok long bosim dispela graun? O husat i bin stretim dispela graun olgeta? Who hath given him a charge over the earth? or who hath disposed the whole world?
14 Sapos Em i putim bel bilong Em antap long wanpela man, sapos Em i bungim i go long Em Yet Spirit bilong Em na win bilong Em, If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;
15 Olgeta bodi bai dai olgeta wantaim, na man bai tanim gen i go long das. All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.
16 ¶ Sapos nau yu gat gutpela save, harim dispela. Harim gut long nek bilong ol toktok bilong mi. If now thou hast understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.
17 Yes, ating em husat i hetim stretpela pasin i ken bosim samting? Na bai yu sutim tok long em husat i stretpela moa long ol arapela? Shall even he that hateth right govern? and wilt thou condemn him that is most just?
18 Ating em i fit long tokim wanpela king, Yu stap man nogut? Na long ol hetman, Yupela stap ol man i bihainim pasin nogut? Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly?
19 Hamas liklik moa long em husat i no orait long namba bilong ol hetman, o i no tingim namba bilong maniman moa long rabisman? Long wanem, ol olgeta i wok bilong ol han bilong Em. How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.
20 Wantu tasol bai ol i dai, na ol manmeri bai pilim wari long belo biknait, na pinis olgeta. Na ol strongpela man bai Em i tekewe taim i no gat wanpela han i stap. In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.
21 Long wanem, ol ai bilong Em i stap antap long ol rot bilong man, na Em i lukim olgeta wokabaut bilong em. For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.
22 Tudak i no stap, o tewel bilong dai, we ol wokman bilong sin nogut i ken haitim ol yet. There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
23 Long wanem, Em bai i no inap putim antap long man moa long samting i stretpela, inap long em i ken go insait long kot wantaim God For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God.
24 Em bai brukim long planti hap hap ol strongpela man i no gat namba bilong ol, na putim ol arapela bilong kisim ples bilong ol. He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead.
25 Olsem na Em i save long ol wok bilong ol, na Em i kapsaitim ol long nait, inap long ol i bagarap olgeta. Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed.
26 Em i paitim ol olsem ol man nogut long ples klia long hap ai bilong ol arapela i lukim. He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others;
27 Bilong wanem, ol i tanim bek i lusim Em, na ol i no gat laik long tingim na skelim wanpela bilong ol rot bilong Em. Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways:
28 Inap long ol i mekim krai bilong ol rabisman long kam long Em, na Em i harim krai bilong ol man i kisim hevi. So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted.
29 Taim Em i givim taim bilong stap isi, husat nau i ken wokim trabel? Na taim Em i haitim pes bilong Em, husat nau i ken lukim Em, sapos Em i wokim bilong birua long wanpela kantri, o bilong birua long wanpela man tasol? When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only:
30 Inap long man bilong tupela maus i no ken bosim kingdom, nogut ol manmeri i go insait long trap That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.
31 ¶ Tru tumas, em i fit long man i tokim God, Mi bin karim hevi bilong kisim stik, mi bai i no inap bagarapim bel bilong Yu moa liklik. Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more:
32 Dispela samting mi no luksave long en Yu mas skulim mi. Sapos mi bin mekim sin nogut, mi bai i no inap mekim moa. That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.
33 Ating dispela i mas stap bilong bihainim tingting bilong yu? Em bai bekim pe long dispela, sapos yu tok nogat, o sapos yu makim dispela. Na i no mi. Olsem na toktok long wanem samting yu save long en. Should it be according to thy mind? he will recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether thou choose; and not I: therefore speak what thou knowest.
34 Larim ol man bilong gutpela save tokim mi, na larim wanpela saveman harim gut long mi. Let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken unto me.
35 Jop i bin toktok taim em i no gat save, na ol toktok bilong em i no bin gat save tru long ol. Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words were without wisdom.
36 Laik bilong mi em i long Jop i ken kisim traim i go long pinis bilong en, bilong wanem, bilong ol bekim tok bilong em bilong helpim ol man nogut. My desire is that Job may be tried unto the end because of his answers for wicked men.
37 Long wanem, em i skruim bikhet pasin i go long ol sin bilong em, em i paitim tupela han bilong em namel long yumi, na mekim ol toktok bilong em i kamap planti moa i birua long God. For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth his hands among us, and multiplieth his words against God.
