¶ Na moa tu Jop i go yet long tok piksa bilong em, na tok, | Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,
O sapos mi stap olsem long ol mun bipo, olsem long ol de taim God i mekim mi stap gut yet, | Oh that I were as in months past, as in the days when God preserved me;
Taim kandel bilong Em i lait antap long het bilong mi, na taim, long lait bilong Em, mi wokabaut namel long tudak, | When his candle shined upon my head, and when by his light I walked through darkness;
Olsem mi stap long ol de mi stap yangpela, taim samting hait bilong God i stap antap long haus holi bilong mi, | As I was in the days of my youth, when the secret of God was upon my tabernacle;
Taim Man i Gat Olgeta Strong i stap yet wantaim mi, taim ol pikinini bilong mi i stap nabaut long mi, | When the Almighty was yet with me, when my children were about me;
Taim mi wasim ol step bilong mi wantaim bata, na ston i kapsaitim long mi ol riva bilong wel, | When I washed my steps with butter, and the rock poured me out rivers of oil;
¶ Taim mi go ausait long dua bilong banis i go namel long biktaun, taim mi redim sia bilong mi long rot! | When I went out to the gate through the city, when I prepared my seat in the street!
Ol yangpela man i lukim mi, na haitim ol yet. Na ol lapun tru i kirap, na sanap. | The young men saw me, and hid themselves: and the aged arose, and stood up.
Ol hetman i holim bek ol yet long toktok, na slipim han bilong ol antap long maus bilong ol. | The princes refrained talking, and laid their hand on their mouth.
Ol bikman i pasim maus bilong ol, na tang bilong ol i pas strong long rup bilong maus bilong ol. | The nobles held their peace, and their tongue cleaved to the roof of their mouth.
Taim ia i harim mi, nau em i blesim mi. Na taim ai i lukim mi, em i givim witnes long mi. | When the ear heard me, then it blessed me; and when the eye saw me, it gave witness to me:
Bilong wanem, mi bin kisim bek rabisman husat i krai, na pikinini i no gat papa, na em husat i no gat wanpela bilong helpim em. | Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him.
Blesing bilong em husat i redi long dai olgeta i kam antap long mi. Na mi mekim bel bilong meri man bilong em i dai pinis long singim song long amamas tru. | The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy.
Mi putim stretpela pasin, na em i klos bilong mi. Save bilong skelim bilong mi i olsem wanpela longpela saket na wanpela hat king bilong glori. | I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem.
Mi stap ol ai bilong aipas, na mi stap ol lek bilong lek nogut. | I was eyes to the blind, and feet was I to the lame.
Mi stap wanpela papa long rabisman. Na dispela wari mi no save mi painimaut tru long en. | I was a father to the poor: and the cause which I knew not I searched out.
Na mi brukim ol bun bilong wasket bilong man nogut, na kamautim kago bilong pait ausait long ol tit bilong em. | And I brake the jaws of the wicked, and plucked the spoil out of his teeth.
¶ Nau mi tok, Mi bai dai long haus pisin bilong mi, na mi bai mekim ol de bilong mi i kamap planti moa olsem wesan. | Then I said, I shall die in my nest, and I shall multiply my days as the sand.
Rop daunbilo bilong mi i op ausait klostu long ol wara, na wara bilong nait i slip olgeta hap bilong nait antap long han diwai bilong mi. | My root was spread out by the waters, and the dew lay all night upon my branch.
Glori bilong mi i nupela insait long mi, na banara bilong mi i nupela gen insait long han bilong mi. | My glory was fresh in me, and my bow was renewed in my hand.
Long mi ol man i givim ia, na wet, na pasim maus long tok helpim bilong mi mi givim. | Unto me men gave ear, and waited, and kept silence at my counsel.
Bihain long ol toktok bilong mi ol i no toktok gen. Na toktok bilong mi i go daun antap long ol. | After my words they spake not again; and my speech dropped upon them.
Ol i wetim mi olsem long ren. Na ol i opim maus bilong ol bikpela olsem long rain bilong bihain. | And they waited for me as for the rain; and they opened their mouth wide as for the latter rain.
Sapos mi lap long ol, ol i no bilipim dispela. Na lait bilong pes bilong mi ol i no tromoi i go daun. | If I laughed on them, they believed it not; and the light of my countenance they cast not down.
Mi makim rot bilong ol, na sindaun nambawan hetman, na stap olsem wanpela king insait long ami, olsem wanpela husat i givim bel isi long ol lain bilong soim sori. | I chose out their way, and sat chief, and dwelt as a king in the army, as one that comforteth the mourners.
