| 2 | Long husat tok bilong BIKPELA i kam long ol de bilong Josaia, pikinini man bilong Amon, king bilong Juda, long namba 13 yia bilong em i bosim kingdom. | To whom the word of the Lord came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign. |
| 3 | Em i kam tu long ol de bilong Jehoiakim, pikinini man bilong Josaia, king bilong Juda, i go inap long pinis bilong namba 11 yia bilong Sedekaia, pikinini man bilong Josaia, king bilong Juda, i go inap long ol i karim ol lain Jerusalem i go kalabus long namba faiv mun. | It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month. |

Na bipo yu kam ausait long bel Mi mekim yu kamap holi, na Mi makim yu wanpela profet bilong ol kantri. | Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. |
| 6 | Nau mi tok, Ah, GOD Bikpela! Lukim, mi no inap toktok gut. Long wanem, mi wanpela pikinini. | Then said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. |
| 7 | Tasol BIKPELA i tokim mi, No ken tok, Mi wanpela pikinini. Long wanem, yu mas go long olgeta husat Mi bai salim yu, na wanem samting Mi tok strong long yu long en, yu mas toktok. | But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. |
| 8 | No ken pret long ol pes bilong ol. Long wanem, Mi stap wantaim yu long kisim bek yu, BIKPELA i tok. | Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord. |
| 9 | Nau BIKPELA i putim han bilong Em ausait na tasim maus bilong mi. Na BIKPELA i tokim mi, Lukim, Mi bin putim toktok bilong Mi long maus bilong yu. | Then the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. |
| 10 | Lukim, tude Mi bin putim yu antap long ol kantri na antap long ol kingdom, long kamautim ol rop daunbilo, na bilong pulim i go daun, na bilong bagarapim olgeta, na bilong tromoi i go daun, bilong wokim, na bilong planim. | See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant. |
| 11 | ¶ Na moa tu tok bilong BIKPELA i kam long mi, i spik, Jeremaia, yu lukim wanem samting? Na mi tok, Mi lukim wanpela stik bilong diwai almon. | Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. |
| 12 | Nau BIKPELA i tokim mi, Yu bin luksave gut. Long wanem, Mi bai hariapim tok bilong Mi bilong mekim dispela. | Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it. |
| 13 | Na tok bilong BIKPELA i kam long mi namba tu taim, i spik, Yu lukim wanem samting? Na mi tok, Mi lukim wanpela sospen i boil. Na pes bilong en i lukluk i go long hap not. | And the word of the Lord came unto me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I said, I see a seething pot; and the face thereof is toward the north. |
| 14 | Nau BIKPELA i tokim mi, Ausait long hap not wanpela samting nogut bai bruk i kam antap long olgeta manmeri i stap long dispela hap. | Then the Lord said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land. |
| 15 | Long wanem, harim, Mi bai singautim olgeta famili bilong ol kingdom bilong hap not, BIKPELA i tok. Na ol bai kam, na olgeta wan wan bai putim sia king bilong em long ai bilong ol dua bilong banis bilong Jerusalem, na i birua long olgeta banis bilong en raun nabaut, na i birua long olgeta biktaun bilong Juda. | For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith the Lord; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah. |
| 16 | Na Mi bai kolim ol kot bilong Mi i birua long ol long sait bilong olgeta pasin nogut bilong ol, husat i bin givim baksait long Mi, na bin kukim insens long ol arapela god, na lotuim ol wok bilong ol han bilong ol yet. | And I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands. |

No ken wari planti taim yu lukim ol pes bilong ol, nogut Mi mekim yu paul tru long ai bilong ol. | Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound thee before them. |
| 18 | Long wanem, lukim, tude mi bin mekim yu wanpela biktaun ol i strongim, na wanpela bikpela pos ain, na ol banis bras i birua long dispela hap olgeta, i birua long ol king bilong Juda, i birua long ol hetman bilong en, i birua long ol pris bilong en, na i birua long ol manmeri bilong dispela hap. | For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land. |
| 19 | Na ol bai pait birua long yu, tasol ol bai i no inap winim yu. Long wanem, Mi stap wantaim yu, BIKPELA i tok, bilong kisim bek yu. | And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the Lord, to deliver thee. |
