절King Jems Pisin BaibelKing James Version
¶ Nau em i kamap olsem long namba tri yia bilong Hosea, pikinini man bilong Ila, king bilong Isrel, long Hesekaia, pikinini man bilong Ehas, king bilong Juda, i stat long bosim kingdom. Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign.
Em i gat 25 krismas taim em i stat long bosim kingdom. Na em i bosim kingdom 29 yia long Jerusalem. Nem bilong mama bilong em tu em Abi, pikinini meri bilong Sekaraia. Twenty and five years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Abi, the daughter of Zachariah.
Na em i mekim dispela samting i stretpela long ai bilong BIKPELA, bilong bihainim olgeta samting Devit, tumbuna papa bilong em, i mekim. And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that David his father did.
Em i rausim ol ples antap, na brukim ol piksa god, na katim i go daun ol lain diwai, na brukim long ol planti hap hap dispela snek bras Moses i bin wokim. Long wanem, long ol dispela de ol pikinini bilong Isrel i bin kukim insens long dispela. Na em i kolim nem bilong en Nehustan. He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan.
Em i putim bilip long BIKPELA, God bilong Isrel, inap long bihain long em i no gat wanpela namel long olgeta king bilong Juda i wankain long em, o wanpela husat i stap bipo long em. He trusted in the Lord God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.
Long wanem, em i holimpas strong BIKPELA, na em i no lusim pasin bilong bihainim Em, tasol em i holimpas ol tok strong bilong Em, dispela BIKPELA i tok strong long Moses. For he clave to the Lord, and departed not from following him, but kept his commandments, which the Lord commanded Moses.
Na BIKPELA i stap wantaim em. Na wanem samting em i mekim i kamap gutpela, long wanem hap we em i go ausait. Na em i bikhet i birua long king bilong Asiria, na em i no bihainim em. And the Lord was with him; and he prospered whithersoever he went forth: and he rebelled against the king of Assyria, and served him not.
Em i paitim ol Filistin, yes, inap long Gasa, na ol hap arere bilong en, i stat long taua bilong ol wasman i go inap long dispela biktaun i gat banis. He smote the Philistines, even unto Gaza, and the borders thereof, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city.
¶ Na em i kamap olsem long namba foa yia bilong king Hesekaia, dispela em i namba seven yia bilong Hosea, pikinini man bilong Ila, king bilong Isrel, long Salmaneser, king bilong Asiria, i kam antap na birua long Samaria, na pasim biktaun. And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Hezekiah, which was the seventh year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Shalmaneser king of Assyria came up against Samaria, and besieged it.
Na long pinis bilong tripela yia, ol i kisim dispela. Yes, long namba sikis yia bilong Hesekaia, dispela em i namba nain yia bilong Hosea, king bilong Isrel, ol i kisim Samaria. And at the end of three years they took it: even in the sixth year of Hezekiah, that is the ninth year of Hoshea king of Israel, Samaria was taken.
Na king bilong Asiria i bin karim i go Isrel i go long Asiria, na putim ol long Hala na long Habor, klostu long wara Gosan, na long ol biktaun bilong ol lain Mida. And the king of Assyria did carry away Israel unto Assyria, and put them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes:
Bilong wanem, ol i no bihainim nek bilong BIKPELA, God bilong ol, tasol ol i kalapim lo bilong kontrak bilong Em, na olgeta samting Moses, wokboi bilong BIKPELA, i tok strong, na ol i no gat laik long harim ol, o mekim ol. Because they obeyed not the voice of the Lord their God, but transgressed his covenant, and all that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded, and would not hear them, nor do them.
Nau long namba 14 yia bilong king Hesekaia, Senakerip, king bilong Asiria, i bin kam antap long birua long olgeta biktaun bilong Juda i gat banis, na em i kisim ol. Now in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah did Sennacherib king of Assyria come up against all the fenced cities of Judah, and took them.
Na Hesekaia, king bilong Juda, i salim tok long king bilong Asiria long Lekis, i spik, Mi bin bagarapim bel bilong yu. Tanim i go bek i lusim mi. Dispela samting yu putim antap long mi bai mi karim. Na king bilong Asiria i makim long Hesekaia, king bilong Juda, 300 talen silva, na 30 talen gol. And Hezekiah king of Judah sent to the king of Assyria to Lachish, saying, I have offended; return from me: that which thou puttest on me will I bear. And the king of Assyria appointed unto Hezekiah king of Judah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold.
Na Hesekaia i givim em olgeta dispela silva ol i lukim insait long haus bilong BIKPELA, na insait long ol ples bilong samting dia tru long haus bilong king. And Hezekiah gave him all the silver that was found in the house of the Lord, and in the treasures of the king’s house.
Long dispela taim Hesekaia i bin katim i go olgeta gol long ol dua bilong tempel bilong BIKPELA, na long ol dispela bikpela pos Hesekaia, king bilong Juda, i bin karamapim, na givim dispela long king bilong Asiria. At that time did Hezekiah cut off the gold from the doors of the temple of the Lord, and from the pillars which Hezekiah king of Judah had overlaid, and gave it to the king of Assyria.
¶ Na king bilong Asiria i salim Tartan na Rap-saris na Rap-seke i lusim Lekis i go long king Hesekaia wantaim wanpela bikpela ami long birua long Jerusalem. Na ol i go antap na kam long Jerusalem. Na taim ol i kam antap pinis, ol i kam na sanap klostu long paip bilong wara bilong liklik raunwara antap, dispela i stap long bikrot bilong bikpela gaden bilong man bilong klinim klos. And the king of Assyria sent Tartan and Rabsaris and Rab–shakeh from Lachish to king Hezekiah with a great host against Jerusalem. And they went up and came to Jerusalem. And when they were come up, they came and stood by the conduit of the upper pool, which is in the highway of the fuller’s field.
Na taim ol i bin singaut long king, Elaiakim, pikinini man bilong Hilkaia, husat i bosim haus, na Sepna, man bilong rait, na Joa, pikinini man bilong Esap, man bilong raitim ol stori, i kam ausait long ol. And when they had called to the king, there came out to them Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder.
Na Rap-seke i tokim ol, Nau yupela toktok long Hesekaia, Dispela bikpela king, king bilong Asiria, i tok olsem, Dispela em i wanem strongpela bilip we yu putim bilip long en? And Rab–shakeh said unto them, Speak ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein thou trustest?
Yu tok, (tasol ol i ol tok nating tasol,) Mi gat tok helpim na strong bilong bikpela pait. Nau yu putim bilip long husat, inap long yu bikhet i birua long mi? Thou sayest, (but they are but vain words,) I have counsel and strength for the war. Now on whom dost thou trust, that thou rebellest against me?
Nau, lukim, yu putim bilip long stik wokabaut bilong dispela tiktik i bagarap liklik, yes, antap long Isip, long dispela, sapos wanpela man i lindaun long en, dispela bai go insait long han bilong em, na sutim han. Fero, king bilong Isip, i stap olsem long olgeta husat i putim bilip long em. Now, behold, thou trustest upon the staff of this bruised reed, even upon Egypt, on which if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt unto all that trust on him.
Tasol sapos yupela i tokim mi, Mipela i putim bilip long BIKPELA, God bilong mipela, ating i no Em, husat ol ples antap na husat ol alta bilong Em Hesekaia i bin tekewe, na em i bin tokim Juda na Jerusalem, Yupela bai lotu long ai bilong dispela alta long Jerusalem? But if ye say unto me, We trust in the Lord our God: is not that he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and hath said to Judah and Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem?
Olsem na nau, mi askim yu plis, givim ol promis mani long bikman bilong mi, king bilong Asiria, na mi bai givim long yu 2,000 hos, sapos yu stap inap long sait bilong yu long putim ol man bilong ran antap long hos antap long ol. Now therefore, I pray thee, give pledges to my lord the king of Assyria, and I will deliver thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them.
Nau yu bai tanim i go pes bilong wanpela las kepten bilong ol wokboi bilong bikman bilong mi, na putim bilip bilong yu long Isip long ol karis na long ol man i ran long hos olsem wanem? How then wilt thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master’s servants, and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?
Ating nau mi kam antap long birua long dispela ples, na long bagarapim dispela olgeta, na BIKPELA i no stap wantaim mi? BIKPELA i tokim mi, Go antap na birua long dispela hap, na bagarapim dispela olgeta. Am I now come up without the Lord against this place to destroy it? The Lord said to me, Go up against this land, and destroy it.
Nau Elaiakim, pikinini man bilong Hilkaia, na Sepna, na Joa, i tokim Rap-seke, Toktok, mi askim yu plis, long ol wokboi bilong yu long tok ples Siria. Long wanem, mipela i save long em. Na yu no ken toktok wantaim mipela long tok ples bilong ol Ju long ol ia bilong ol manmeri husat i stap antap long banis. Then said Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, and Shebna, and Joah, unto Rab–shakeh, Speak, I pray thee, to thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it: and talk not with us in the Jews’ language in the ears of the people that are on the wall.
Tasol Rap-seke i tokim ol, Ating bikman bilong mi i bin salim mi long bikman bilong yu, na long yu, long toktok long ol dispela toktok? Ating i yes long em i salim mi long ol man husat i sindaun antap long banis, inap long ol i ken kaikai pekpek bilong ol yet, na dringim pispis bilong ol yet wantaim yu? But Rab–shakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?
Nau Rap-seke i sanap na singaut wantaim wanpela nek i strong long tok ples bilong ol Ju, na tok, i spik, Harim tok bilong dispela bikpela king, king bilong Asiria. Then Rab–shakeh stood and cried with a loud voice in the Jews’ language, and spake, saying, Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria:
King i tok olsem, No ken larim Hesekaia giamanim yupela. Long wanem, em bai i no inap kisim bek yupela ausait long han bilong em. Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you out of his hand:

Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the Lord, saying, The Lord will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.
No ken harim Hesekaia. Long wanem, king bilong Asiria i tok olsem, Wokim wanpela wanbel tingting wantaim mi wantaim wanpela presen, na kam ausait i kam long mi, na nau yupela olgeta wan wan man i ken kaikai long diwai wain bilong em yet, na olgeta wan wan long diwai fik bilong em yet, na yupela olgeta wan wan bai dring wara long tang bilong em yet, Hearken not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me, and then eat ye every man of his own vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his cistern:
Inap long mi kam na tekewe yupela i go long wanpela hap i wankain olsem hap bilong yupela, wanpela hap bilong wit samting na wain, wanpela hap bilong bret na ol gaden wain, wanpela hap bilong wel oliv na hani, inap long yupela i ken stap laip, na no ken dai. Na yupela i no ken harim Hesekaia, taim em laik pulim tingting bilong yupela, i spik, BIKPELA bai kisim bek yumi. Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of oil olive and of honey, that ye may live, and not die: and hearken not unto Hezekiah, when he persuadeth you, saying, The Lord will deliver us.
Ating wanpela bilong ol god bilong ol kantri i bin kisim bek hap bilong em liklik ausait long han bilong king bilong Asiria? Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered at all his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?
Ol god bilong Hemat, na bilong Arpat, i stap we? Ol god bilong Sefarvaim, Hena, na Iva i stap we? Ating ol i kisim bek Samaria ausait long han bilong mi? Where are the gods of Hamath, and of Arpad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah? have they delivered Samaria out of mine hand?
Ol i husat namel long olgeta god bilong ol kantri, husat i bin kisim bek kantri bilong ol ausait long han bilong mi, inap long BIKPELA i ken kisim bek Jerusalem ausait long han bilong mi? Who are they among all the gods of the countries, that have delivered their country out of mine hand, that the Lord should deliver Jerusalem out of mine hand?
Tasol ol manmeri i pasim maus bilong ol, na ol i no bekim em long wanpela tok. Long wanem, tok strong bilong king i stap olsem, i spik, No ken bekim tok long em. But the people held their peace, and answered him not a word: for the king’s commandment was, saying, Answer him not.
