Olsem na ol wokboi bilong king Hesekaia i kam long Aisea. | So the servants of king Hezekiah came to Isaiah.

Lukim, Mi bai salim wanpela bagarap long em, na em bai harim wanpela tok win, na em bai go bek long hap bilong em yet. Na Mi bai mekim em long pundaun long bainat long hap bilong em yet. | Behold, I will send a blast upon him, and he shall hear a rumour, and shall return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.
¶ Olsem na Rap-seke i go bek, na lukim long king bilong Asiria i wokim bikpela pait birua long Lipna. Long wanem, em i bin harim long em i lusim Lekis i go. | So Rab–shakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah: for he had heard that he was departed from Lachish.

Lukim, yu bin harim wanem samting ol king bilong Asiria i bin mekim long olgeta hap, taim ol i bagarapim ol olgeta. Na ating Em bai kisim bek yu? | Behold, thou hast heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands, by destroying them utterly: and shalt thou be delivered?

King bilong Hemat, na king bilong Arpat, na king bilong biktaun bilong Sepharvaim, bilong Hena, na Iva, i stap we? | Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arpad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivah?
Na Hesekaia i kisim pas long han bilong ol mausman, na ritim dispela. Na Hesekaia i go antap, insait haus bilong BIKPELA, na opim dispela long ai bilong BIKPELA. | And Hezekiah received the letter of the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up into the house of the Lord, and spread it before the Lord.
Na Hesekaia i beten long ai bilong BIKPELA, na tok, O BIKPELA, God bilong Isrel, husat i save stap namel long ol serupim, Yu stap God, yes, Yu wanpela, bilong olgeta kingdom bilong dispela graun. Yu bin wokim heven na graun. | And Hezekiah prayed before the Lord, and said, O Lord God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth.
BIKPELA, lindaunim ia bilong Yu na harim. Opim, BIKPELA, tupela ai bilong Yu, na lukim. Na harim ol toktok bilong Senakerip, husat i bin salim em long givim sem long God i stap laip. | Lord, bow down thine ear, and hear: open, Lord, thine eyes, and see: and hear the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent him to reproach the living God.
Em i tru, BIKPELA, ol king bilong Asiria i bin bagarapim olgeta ol kantri na ol hap bilong ol, | Of a truth, Lord, the kings of Assyria have destroyed the nations and their lands,
Na long ol i bin tromoi ol god bilong ol long paia. Long wanem, ol i no ol god tru tru, tasol ol i wok bilong ol han bilong ol man, diwai na ston. Olsem na, ol i bin bagarapim ol olgeta. | And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them.
Olsem na nau, O BIKPELA, God bilong mipela, mi askim Yu long daun pasin, Yu kisim bek mipela i kam ausait long han bilong em, inap long olgeta kingdom bilong dispela graun i ken save long Yu stap God BIKPELA, yes, Yu wanpela tasol. | Now therefore, O Lord our God, I beseech thee, save thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the Lord God, even thou only.
¶ Nau Aisea, pikinini man bilong Emos, i salim tok long Hesekaia, i spik, BIKPELA, God bilong Isrel, i tok olsem, Dispela samting yu bin beten long Mi long en i birua long Senakerip, king bilong Asiria, Mi bin harim. | Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, That which thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria I have heard.
Dispela em i hap tok long BIKPELA i bin toktok long sait bilong em, Meri i no bin slip wantaim man, pikinini meri bilong Saion, i bin tingim yu olsem yu samting nating, na lap long yu inap sem bilong tok bilas. Pikinini meri bilong Jerusalem i bin seksekim het bilong em long yu. | This is the word that the Lord hath spoken concerning him; The virgin the daughter of Zion hath despised thee, and laughed thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee.
Yu bin givim sem na tok bilas long husat? Na long birua long husat yu bin apim nek bilong yu, na litimapim tupela ai bilong yu i go antap? Yes, long birua long Man Holi bilong Isrel. | Whom hast thou reproached and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel.

Na mi bai go insait long ol ples bilong stap bilong ol hap arere bilong Em, na insait long ples bus bilong Karmel bilong Em. | By thy messengers thou hast reproached the Lord, and hast said, With the multitude of my chariots I am come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon, and will cut down the tall cedar trees thereof, and the choice fir trees thereof: and I will enter into the lodgings of his borders, and into the forest of his Carmel. |
Mi bin digim na dringim ol narakain wara, na wantaim as bilong ol fut bilong mi mi bin mekim olgeta riva bilong ol ples mi pasim long kamap drai. | I have digged and drunk strange waters, and with the sole of my feet have I dried up all the rivers of besieged places.
Ating i yes long yu bin harim long taim bipo long Mi bin mekim dispela olsem wanem, na long ol taim bipo long Mi bin wokim dispela? Nau Mi bin mekim dispela i kamap olsem, inap long yu ken stap long mekim ol biktaun i gat banis long stap nating na kamap ol hip pipia. | Hast thou not heard long ago how I have done it, and of ancient times that I have formed it? now have I brought it to pass, that thou shouldest be to lay waste fenced cities into ruinous heaps.

Tasol Mi save long hap bilong yu, na long go ausait bilong yu, na kam insait bilong yu, na belhat nogut tru bilong yu i birua long Mi. | But I know thy abode, and thy going out, and thy coming in, and thy rage against me.

Na hap lain i stap yet husat i ranawe bilong hauslain bilong Juda bai putim yet gen rop daunbilo bilong diwai i go daun, na karim kaikai i go antap. | And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall yet again take root downward, and bear fruit upward.
Long wanem, ausait long Jerusalem wanpela hap lain i stap yet bai go ausait, na ol husat i ranawe ausait long maunten Saion. Hatwok bilong bihainim BIKPELA bilong ol ami bai mekim dispela. | For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the Lord of hosts shall do this.
Olsem na BIKPELA i tok olsem long sait bilong king bilong Asiria, Em bai i no inap kam insait long dispela biktaun, o sutim wanpela spia long dispela hap, o kam long ai bilong en wantaim plang, o hipim wanpela liklik maunten i birua long en. | Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shield, nor cast a bank against it.
Long rot em i kam long en, long dispela rot stret bai em i go bek, na em bai i no inap kam insait long dispela biktaun, BIKPELA i tok. | By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and shall not come into this city, saith the Lord.
Long wanem, Mi bai pait long lukautim dispela biktaun, long kisim bek dispela, bilong tingim Mi Yet, na bilong tingim wokboi bilong Mi Devit. | For I will defend this city, to save it, for mine own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.
¶ Na em i kamap olsem long dispela nait, long ensel bilong BIKPELA i go ausait, na paitim long kem bilong ol lain Asiria 185,000. Na taim ol i kirap long moning tru, lukim, ol olgeta i stap ol daibodi. | And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the Lord went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.
Olsem na Senakerip, king bilong Asiria, i lusim ol, na em i go na go bek, na stap long Niniva | So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.
Na em i kamap olsem, taim em i lotu long haus bilong Nisrok, god bilong em, long Adramelek na Sareser, tupela pikinini man bilong em, i paitim em wantaim bainat. Na ol i ranawe i go long hap bilong Armenia. Na Esar-hadon, pikinini man bilong em, i kisim ples bilong em na bosim kingdom. | And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword: and they escaped into the land of Armenia. And Esarhaddon his son reigned in his stead.
