| 7 | Yupela i mas tanim yupela yet na kirap long wokabaut bilong yupela, na go long maunten bilong ol Amor na long olgeta hap i stap klostu long dispela, long ples i stret na long ol liklik maunten, na long ples daun, na long hap saut, na long arere bilong solwara, long graun bilong ol Kenan, na i go long Lebanon, na i go long dispela bikpela wara riva, em riva Yufretis. | Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates. |

| 12 | Olsem wanem mi yet tasol i inap karim ol samting i pasim yupela na ol hevi bilong yupela, na ol kros i stap namel long yupela? | How can I myself alone bear your cumbrance, and your burden, and your strife? |
| 13 | Yupela i mas kisim ol man i gat save tru na gutpela save, na ol lain bilong yupela i save long ol, na bai mi makim ol long i stap ol bosman bilong yupela. | Take you wise men, and understanding, and known among your tribes, and I will make them rulers over you. |
| 14 | Na yupela i bin bekim long mi na tok, Dispela samting yu bin tokim mipela long em, em i gutpela long mipela i mekim. | And ye answered me, and said, The thing which thou hast spoken is good for us to do. |
| 15 | Olsem, mi bin kisim ol hetman bilong ol lain bilong yupela, ol i man i gat save tru, na ol i save long ol. Na mi bin makim ol long i stap ol bosman bilong yupela, sampela i bosman bilong ol tausen, na sampela i bosman bilong ol handet, na sampela i bosman bilong ol fifti, na sampela i bosman bilong ol tenpela, na ol i stap ol lida namel long ol lain bilong yupela. | So I took the chief of your tribes, wise men, and known, and made them heads over you, captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, and captains over fifties, and captains over tens, and officers among your tribes. |
| 16 | Long dispela taim mi givim tok bilong strongim ol jas bilong yupela, na mi tok, Harim ol hevi i stap namel long ol brata bilong yupela, na wokim stretpela kot namel long olgeta man na brata bilong em, na tu long ol man bilong narapela ples i stap wantaim em. | And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him. |

Long wanem, dispela kot i bilong God. Na sapos wanpela hevi i hatpela tumas long yupela, bringim dispela i kam long mi, na bai mi harim dispela. | Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God’s: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it. |
| 18 | Na long dispela taim mi givim strongpela tok long yupela long olgeta samting yupela i mas mekim. | And I commanded you at that time all the things which ye should do. |
| 19 | ¶ Na taim yumi lusim Horep, yumi bin i go namel long olgeta hap bilong dispela bikpela ples i no gat man i bin pretim yumi. Yupela i bin lukim dispela long rot bilong maunten bilong ol Amor, olsem BIKPELA, God bilong yumi, i bin givim strongpela tok long yumi. Na yumi bin i kam long Kedes-bania. | And when we departed from Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which ye saw by the way of the mountain of the Amorites, as the Lord our God commanded us; and we came to Kadesh–barnea. |
| 20 | Na mi tok long yupela, Yupela i kam pinis long maunten bilong ol Amor, God BIKPELA bilong yumi i givim dispela long yumi. | And I said unto you, Ye are come unto the mountain of the Amorites, which the Lord our God doth give unto us. |
| 21 | Harim, God BIKPELA bilong yu i putim dispela hap graun long pes bilong yu. Go antap na kisim dispela olsem God BIKPELA bilong ol papa bilong yu i bin tok long yu. No ken pret na tu no ken pilim olsem yu no inap mekim. | Behold, the Lord thy God hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the Lord God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged. |
| 22 | Na yupela olgeta wan wan i bin kam klostu long mi na tok, Yumi bai salim ol man i go pas long yumi, na ol bai luksave long dispela hap graun bilong helpim yumi, na bringim tok long yumi gen long rot yumi mas i go antap long em, na wanem biktaun bai yumi kamap long ol. | And ye came near unto me every one of you, and said, We will send men before us, and they shall search us out the land, and bring us word again by what way we must go up, and into what cities we shall come. |
| 23 | Na dispela tok i amamasim mi. Na mi kisim twelpela man bilong yupela, em wanpela bilong ol lain. | And the saying pleased me well: and I took twelve men of you, one of a tribe: |
| 24 | Na ol i tanim ol yet na go antap long maunten, na kamap long ples daun bilong Eskol, na ol i luksave long dispela. | And they turned and went up into the mountain, and came unto the valley of Eshcol, and searched it out. |
| 25 | Na ol i kisim sampela bilong ol kaikai bilong dispela hap graun long ol han bilong ol, na ol i bringim dispela i kam daun long yumi. Na ol i bringim tok long yumi gen na tok, Dispela em i gutpela graun God BIKPELA bilong yumi i givim yumi. | And they took of the fruit of the land in their hands, and brought it down unto us, and brought us word again, and said, It is a good land which the Lord our God doth give us. |
| 26 | Tasol tru tumas, yupela i no laik i go antap, tasol yupela i bikhet long strongpela tok bilong God BIKPELA bilong yupela. | Notwithstanding ye would not go up, but rebelled against the commandment of the Lord your God: |
| 27 | Na yupela i mekim bikhet toktok long ol haus sel bilong yupela, na tok, BIKPELA i bin bringim yumi long lusim graun bilong Isip long givim yumi long han bilong ol Amor long bagarapim yumi, long wanem Em i no laikim tru yumi. | And ye murmured in your tents, and said, Because the Lord hated us, he hath brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us. |

Na tu mipela i bin lukim ol pikinini man bilong ol Anak long dispela hap graun. | Whither shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged our heart, saying, The people is greater and taller than we; the cities are great and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakims there. |
| 29 | Long dispela taim mi tok long yupela, No ken pilim hevi o pret long ol. | Then I said unto you, Dread not, neither be afraid of them. |

Na Em bai pait bilong helpim yupela, long olgeta wankain pasin Em i bin mekim long yupela long Isip, long ol ai bilong yupela, | The Lord your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes; |
| 31 | Na long ples i no gat man, long dispela hap graun yupela i bin luksave long God BIKPELA bilong yupela i karim yupela, olsem wanpela man i karim pikinini man bilong em, long olgeta rot yupela i go long em, inap long yupela i kam long dispela hap graun. | And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the Lord thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place. |
| 32 | Tasol long dispela samting, yupela i no bin bilipim God BIKPELA bilong yupela. | Yet in this thing ye did not believe the Lord your God, |

Em i go long paia long nait, long soim yupela wanem rot yupela mas i go long em, na long klaut long de. | Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day. |
| 34 | Na BIKPELA i harim ol nek bilong ol tok bilong yupela, na Em i belhat na tok tru antap, na tok, | And the Lord heard the voice of your words, and was wroth, and sware, saying, |
| 35 | Tru tumas, i no gat wanpela bilong ol dispela man bilong dispela lain pikinini nogut bai lukim dispela gutpela graun, Mi bin tok tru antap long ol papa bilong yupela long givim dispela long ol. | Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land, which I sware to give unto your fathers, |

Long wanem em i bin bihainim BIKPELA olgeta. | Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him will I give the land that he hath trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed the Lord. |
| 37 | Na tu BIKPELA i kros long mi, na yupela i as bilong dispela, na Em i tok, Yu tu i no ken i go insait long dispela hap graun. | Also the Lord was angry with me for your sakes, saying, Thou also shalt not go in thither. |

Long wanem em bai mekim Isrel i kisim dispela hap graun olsem samting papa i laik givim pikinini bilong em. | But Joshua the son of Nun, which standeth before thee, he shall go in thither: encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to inherit it. |

Na bai Mi givim dispela long ol, na ol bai kisim dispela. | Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it. |
| 40 | Tasol bilong yupela, tanim yupela na mekim wokabaut bilong yupela i go long ples i no gat man, long rot bilong Retsi. | But as for you, turn you, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea. |
| 41 | Long dispela taim yupela i bekim long mi, na tok, Mipela i bin mekim sin i birua long BIKPELA, bai mipela i go antap na pait bilong bihainim olgeta samting God BIKPELA bilong mipela i givim strongpela tok long mipela. Na taim yupela olgeta wan wan man i putim ol samting bilong pait long woa long yupela yet, orait, yupela i redi long go antap long dispela liklik maunten. | Then ye answered and said unto me, We have sinned against the Lord, we will go up and fight, according to all that the Lord our God commanded us. And when ye had girded on every man his weapons of war, ye were ready to go up into the hill. |

Nogut yupela i kisim bagarap long pes bilong ol birua bilong yupela. | And the Lord said unto me, Say unto them, Go not up, neither fight; for I am not among you; lest ye be smitten before your enemies. |
| 43 | Mi bin tok olsem long yupela, na yupela i no laik harim, tasol yupela i bikhet long strongpela tok bilong BIKPELA, na yupela i bin sakim tok na go antap long dispela liklik maunten. | So I spake unto you; and ye would not hear, but rebelled against the commandment of the Lord, and went presumptuously up into the hill. |
| 44 | Na lain bilong Amor husat i stap long dispela maunten, ol i kam birua long yupela, na ranim yupela, olsem ol ninik i mekim, na ol i bagarapim yupela long Sir inap long Horma. | And the Amorites, which dwelt in that mountain, came out against you, and chased you, as bees do, and destroyed you in Seir, even unto Hormah. |
| 45 | Na yupela i kam bek na krai long pes bilong BIKPELA. Tasol BIKPELA i no laik harim nek bilong yupela, o putim ia i go long yupela. | And ye returned and wept before the Lord; but the Lord would not hearken to your voice, nor give ear unto you. |
