| 2 | BIKPELA bilong ol ami i tok olsem, Mi jeles long Saion wantaim wanpela bikpela pasin jeles, na Mi jeles long em wantaim bikpela belhat nogut tru. | Thus saith the Lord of hosts; I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury. |
| 3 | BIKPELA i tok olsem, Mi kam bek long Saion, na Mi bai stap insait long namel bilong Jerusalem. Na Jerusalem bai ol i kolim wanpela biktaun bilong tok tru. Na ol bai kolim maunten bilong BIKPELA bilong ol ami dispela maunten holi. | Thus saith the Lord; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the Lord of hosts the holy mountain. |

| 6 | BIKPELA bilong ol ami i tok olsem, Sapos em i wanpela wok long ol ai bilong ol hap lain i stap yet bilong dispela lain manmeri long ol dispela de i mekim ol i tingting planti, ating em tu bai stap wok long tupela ai bilong Mi i mekim Mi tingting planti, BIKPELA bilong ol ami i tok? | Thus saith the Lord of hosts; If it be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvellous in mine eyes? saith the Lord of hosts. |
| 7 | BIKPELA bilong ol ami i tok olsem, Lukim, Mi bai kisim bek ol manmeri bilong Mi long hap bilong hap is, na long hap bilong hap wes. | Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country; |
| 8 | Na Mi bai bringim ol, na ol bai stap insait long namel bilong Jerusalem. Na ol bai stap ol manmeri bilong Mi, na Mi bai stap God bilong ol, long pasin i tru na long stretpela pasin. | And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness. |
| 9 | ¶ BIKPELA bilong ol ami i tok olsem, Larim ol han bilong yupela stap strong, yupela husat i harim long ol dispela de ol dispela toktok long maus bilong ol profet, husat i stap long dispela de ol i slipim ol as ston bilong haus bilong BIKPELA bilong ol ami, inap long ol i ken wokim tempel. | Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the Lord of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built. |

Long wanem, Mi putim olgeta man, olgeta wan wan, i birua long man i stap klostu long em. | For before these days there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the affliction: for I set all men every one against his neighbour. |

| 12 | Long wanem, pikinini kaikai bai kamap gutpela. Diwai wain bai givim kaikai bilong em, na graun bai givim kaikai bilong em, na ol heven bai givim wara bilong nait bilong ol. Na Mi bai mekim hap lain i stap yet bilong dispela lain manmeri bilong holimpas olgeta dispela ol samting. | For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things. |
| 13 | Na em bai kamap olsem, long olsem yupela i bin stap wanpela tok nogut namel long ol haiden, O hauslain bilong Juda, na hauslain bilong Isrel, olsem tasol bai Mi kisim bek yupela, na yupela bai stap wanpela blesing. No ken pret, tasol larim ol han bilong yupela stap strong. | And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong. |
| 14 | Long wanem, BIKPELA bilong ol ami i tok olsem, Olsem Mi tingting long wokim mekim save long yupela, taim ol tumbuna papa bilong yupela i skrapim bel bilong Mi long belhat tru, BIKPELA bilong ol ami i tok, na Mi no tanim bel, | For thus saith the Lord of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the Lord of hosts, and I repented not: |
| 15 | Olsem tasol Mi bin tingting gen long ol dispela de, bilong mekim gutpela long Jerusalem na long hauslain bilong Juda. Yupela i no ken pret. | So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not. |
| 16 | Ol dispela em i ol samting yupela bai mekim, Yupela toktok long olgeta wan wan man long tok tru i go long man i stap klostu long em. Mekim kot bilong tok tru na bel isi insait long ol dua bilong banis bilong yupela. | These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates: |
| 17 | Na yupela i no ken larim wanpela bilong yupela wokim tingting nating nogut long ol bel bilong yupela i birua long man i stap klostu long em. Na yupela i no ken laikim tru giaman strongpela promis. Long wanem, olgeta dispela samting em i ol samting Mi hetim, BIKPELA i tok. | And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the Lord. |
| 18 | ¶ Na tok bilong BIKPELA bilong ol ami i kam long mi, i spik, | And the word of the Lord of hosts came unto me, saying, |
| 19 | BIKPELA bilong ol ami i tok olsem, Tambuim kaikai bilong namba foa mun, na tambuim kaikai bilong namba faiv, na tambuim kaikai bilong namba seven, na tambuim kaikai bilong namba ten, bai stap long hauslain bilong Juda amamas tru na amamas, na ol bikpela kaikai i gat amamas. Olsem na laikim tru tok tru na bel isi. | Thus saith the Lord of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace. |
| 20 | BIKPELA bilong ol ami i tok olsem, Em bai kamap olsem yet, long bai ol manmeri i kam, na ol lain i stap long planti biktaun. | Thus saith the Lord of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities: |
| 21 | Na ol lain i stap long wanpela biktaun bai go long narapela, i spik, Larim yumi go hariap long beten long ai bilong BIKPELA, na long painim BIKPELA bilong ol ami. Mi bai go tu. | And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the Lord, and to seek the Lord of hosts: I will go also. |
| 22 | Yes, planti manmeri na ol strongpela kantri bai kam bilong painim BIKPELA bilong ol ami long Jerusalem, na bilong beten long ai bilong BIKPELA. | Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord. |
| 23 | BIKPELA bilong ol ami i tok olsem, Long ol dispela de em bai kamap olsem, long tenpela man bai holimpas ausait long olgeta tok ples bilong ol kantri, yes, ol bai holimpas long arere bilong klos bilong em husat i wanpela Ju, i spik, Mipela bai go wantaim yu. Long wanem, mipela bin harim long God i stap wantaim yu. | Thus saith the Lord of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you. |
