Na Mi tok, Mi bai i no inap olgeta long brukim kontrak bilong Mi wantaim yupela oltaim. | And an angel of the Lord came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you. |

Bilong wanem yupela i bin mekim dispela? | And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice: why have ye done this? |

Tasol ol bai stap olsem ol nil long ol sait bilong yupela, na ol god bilong ol bai stap olsem wanpela trap long yupela. | Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you. |
| 4 | Na em i kamap olsem, taim ensel bilong BIKPELA i tokim ol dispela toktok pinis long olgeta pikinini bilong Isrel, long ol manmeri i litimapim nek bilong ol, na krai tru. | And it came to pass, when the angel of the Lord spake these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept. |
| 5 | Na ol i kolim nem bilong dispela ples Bokim. Na ol i sakrifais long dispela hap i go long BIKPELA. | And they called the name of that place Bochim: and they sacrificed there unto the Lord. |
| 6 | ¶ Na taim Josua i bin larim ol manmeri i go, ol pikinini bilong Isrel i go, olgeta wan wan man, long samting papa i givim pikinini bilong em, long holimpas dispela hap. | And when Joshua had let the people go, the children of Israel went every man unto his inheritance to possess the land. |
| 7 | Na ol manmeri i bihainim BIKPELA olgeta de bilong Josua, na olgeta de bilong ol lapun hetman husat i stap laip bihain long Josua, husat i bin lukim olgeta bikpela wok bilong BIKPELA, dispela Em i wokim bilong helpim Isrel. | And the people served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great works of the Lord, that he did for Israel. |

| 9 | Na ol i planim em long hap arere bilong samting papa i givim pikinini bilong em long Timnat-heres, long maunten Ifraim, long hap not bilong liklik maunten Geas. | And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnath–heres, in the mount of Ephraim, on the north side of the hill Gaash. |

Na i gat narapela lain tumbuna i kirap bihain long ol, husat i no save long BIKPELA, o yet long ol dispela wok Em i bin mekim bilong helpim Isrel. | And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the Lord, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel. |
| 11 | Na ol pikinini bilong Isrel i mekim pasin nogut long ai bilong BIKPELA, na bihainim Bealim. | And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and served Baalim: |
| 12 | Na ol i givim baksait long God BIKPELA bilong ol tumbuna papa bilong ol, husat i bringim ol i kam ausait long hap bilong Isip, na bihainim ol arapela god, bilong ol god bilong ol manmeri husat i stap raun nabaut long ol, na lindaunim ol yet long ol, na skrapim bel bilong BIKPELA long belhat. | And they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the Lord to anger. |
| 13 | Na ol i givim baksait long BIKPELA, na bihainim Beal na Astarot. | And they forsook the Lord, and served Baal and Ashtaroth. |
| 14 | Na belhat bilong BIKPELA i hat i birua long Isrel, na Em i givim ol long ol han bilong ol lain bilong kisim kago bilong pait husat i kisim ol kago bilong ol, na Em i salim ol olsem kago i go long ol han bilong ol birua bilong ol raun nabaut, inap long ol i no inap long sanap moa liklik long ai bilong ol birua bilong ol. | And the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies. |
| 15 | Na wanem hap we ol i go ausait, han bilong BIKPELA i stap birua long ol bilong nogut, olsem BIKPELA i bin tok, na olsem BIKPELA i bin wokim strongpela promis i go long ol. Na ol i pilim bikpela wari tru. | Whithersoever they went out, the hand of the Lord was against them for evil, as the Lord had said, and as the Lord had sworn unto them: and they were greatly distressed. |
| 16 | Tasol BIKPELA i kirapim ol jas, husat i kisim bek ol ausait long han bilong ol husat i kisim ol kago bilong ol. | Nevertheless the Lord raised up judges, which delivered them out of the hand of those that spoiled them. |
| 17 | Na yet ol i no gat laik long harim long ol jas bilong ol, tasol ol i go pamuk i bihainim ol arapela god, na lindaunim ol yet long ol. Ol i tanim kwiktaim tumas ausait long dispela rot ol tumbuna papa bilong ol i wokabaut insait long en, taim ol i bihainim ol tok strong bilong BIKPELA. Tasol ol i no mekim olsem. | And yet they would not hearken unto their judges, but they went a whoring after other gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned quickly out of the way which their fathers walked in, obeying the commandments of the Lord; but they did not so. |

Long wanem, BIKPELA i tanim bel long dispela, bilong tingim ol krai bilong pen bilong ol bikos ol lain husat i mekim ol long kisim taim na givim hevi long ol i kamap bikpela. | And when the Lord raised them up judges, then the Lord was with the judge, and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for it repented the Lord because of their groanings by reason of them that oppressed them and vexed them. |

Ol i no lusim pasin bilong wokim ol wok bilong ol yet, o lusim bikhet rot bilong ol. | And it came to pass, when the judge was dead, that they returned, and corrupted themselves more than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down unto them; they ceased not from their own doings, nor from their stubborn way. |

Na Em i tok, Bikos dispela lain manmeri i bin kalapim kontrak bilong Mi, dispela Mi tok strong long ol tumbuna papa bilong ol, na ol i no bin harim long nek bilong Mi, | And the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel; and he said, Because that this people hath transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice; |
| 21 | I stat long nau i go, Mi tu bai i no inap ranim wanpela i go ausait long ai bilong ol bilong ol dispela kantri Josua i lusim i stap yet taim em i dai pinis, | I also will not henceforth drive out any from before them of the nations which Joshua left when he died: |
| 22 | Inap long wok bilong ol Mi ken traim Isrel, sapos ol bai holimpas rot bilong BIKPELA long wokabaut insait long en, olsem ol tumbuna papa bilong ol i bin holimpas dispela, o nogat. | That through them I may prove Israel, whether they will keep the way of the Lord to walk therein, as their fathers did keep it, or not. |
| 23 | Olsem na BIKPELA i larim ol dispela kantri i stap, na Em i no ranim ol i go ausait hariap. Na tu Em i no givim ol i go long han bilong Josua. | Therefore the Lord left those nations, without driving them out hastily; neither delivered he them into the hand of Joshua. |
