|---|---|---|
¶ Dispela de stret Jisas i go ausait long haus, na sindaun klostu long nambis bilong biksi. | The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.
Na ol traipela lain tru i bung wantaim i kam long em, inap long em i go insait long wanpela sip, na sindaun. Na dispela bikpela lain tru olgeta i sanap long nambis. | And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.
Na em i tokim ol long planti samting insait long ol tok piksa, i spik, Lukim, wanpela man bilong planim i go ausait long planim. | And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
Na taim em i planim, sampela pikinini kaikai i pundaun long sait bilong rot, na ol pisin i kam na kaikai ol olgeta. | And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
Sampela i pundaun antap long ol ples i gat ston, we ol i no gat planti graun. Na wantu ol i kam antap, bilong wanem, ol i no gat graun i dip. | Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
Na taim san i kam antap, ol i kuk. Na bikos ol i no gat rop daunbilo, ol i go drai olgeta. | And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
Na sampela i pundaun namel long ol rop i gat nil. Na ol rop i gat nil i kam antap, na pasim nek bilong ol. | And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
Tasol arapela i pundaun insait long gutpela graun, na karim kaikai, sampela 100 taims, sampela 60 taims, na sampela 30 taims. | But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
Husat i gat ol ia long harim, larim em harim. | Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Na ol disaipel i kam, na tokim em, Bilong wanem yu toktok long ol long ol tok piksa? | And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
Em i bekim na tokim ol, Bilong wanem, God i givim dispela long yupela long save long ol samting hait bilong kingdom bilong heven, tasol long ol God i no givim dispela. | He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
Long wanem, husat man i gat, long em God bai givim, na em bai gat planti moa yet. Tasol husat man i no gat, long em God bai tekewe, yes, dispela em i gat. | For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
Olsem na mi toktok long ol long ol tok piksa. Bilong wanem, taim ol i lukim ol i no lukim. Na taim ol i harim ol i no harim, na tu ol i no kisim save. | Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
Na insait long ol dispela, autim tok profet bilong Eseas i kamap pinis, dispela i tok, Long wok bilong harim yupela bai harim, na yupela bai i no inap kisim save. Na long wok bilong lukim yupela bai lukim, na yupela bai i no inap kisim save. | And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
Long wanem, ol bel bilong ol dispela manmeri i wok long kamap strong pinis, na ol ia bilong ol i no sap long harim, na ol ai bilong ol ol i bin pasim, nogut long wanpela taim ol i ken lukluk wantaim ol ai bilong ol, na harim wantaim ol ia bilong ol, na ol i ken kisim save wantaim bel bilong ol, na ol i ken senisim bilip, na mi ken oraitim ol. | For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
Tasol blesing i stap long ol ai bilong yupela, long wanem, ol i lukim, na ol ia bilong yupela, long wanem, ol i harim. | But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
Long wanem, tru tumas, mi tokim yupela, Long planti profet na ol stretpela man i bin gat laik long lukim ol dispela samting, dispela yupela i lukim, na ol i no bin lukim ol, na long harim ol dispela samting, dispela yupela i harim, na ol i no bin harim ol. | For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
Olsem na yupela harim tok piksa bilong man bilong planim. | Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
Taim wanpela man i harim tok bilong kingdom, na em i no kisim save long en, nau dispela man nogut i kam, na kisim i go dispela samting man bilong planim i planim insait long bel bilong em. Dispela em em husat i kisim pikinini kaikai long sait bilong rot. | When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
Tasol em husat i kisim pikinini kaikai insait long ol ples i gat ston, em yet em i em husat i harim dispela tok, na kwiktaim em i kisim dispela wantaim amamas tru. | But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
Tasol em i no gat rop daunbilo insait long em yet, tasol em i stap strong yet liklik taim. Long wanem, taim bikpela hevi o taim bilong kisim hevi i kirap, bilong tingim tok bilong God, bambai dispela i bagarapim bel bilong em. | Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
Em tu husat i kisim pikinini kaikai namel long ol rop i gat nil em i em husat i harim tok bilong God, na wari bilong dispela graun, na pasin i pulap long giaman bilong ol samting i dia tru, i pasim nek bilong tok bilong God, na em i kamap samting i no karim kaikai. | He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
Tasol em husat i kisim pikinini kaikai insait long gutpela graun em i em husat i harim tok bilong God, na kisim save long en, husat tu i karim kaikai, na karim i kam ausait, sampela 100 taims, sampela 60, sampela 30. | But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
¶ Narapela tok piksa em i putim i go ausait long ol, i spik, Kingdom bilong heven em i olsem wanpela man husat i planim gutpela pikinini kaikai insait long bikpela gaden bilong em. | Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
Tasol taim ol man i slip, birua bilong em i kam na planim ol ter namel long wit, na em i go long rot bilong em. | But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
Tasol taim kru i kam antap, na karim kaikai, nau ol ter i kamap ples klia tu. | But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
Olsem tasol ol wokboi bilong papa bilong haus i kam na tokim em, Bikman, ating i yes long yu bin planim ol gutpela pikinini kaikai long bikpela gaden bilong yu? Nau em i gat ol ter i kam long we? | So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
Em i tokim ol, Wanpela birua i bin mekim dispela. Ol wokboi i tokim em, Yu gat laik nau long mipela i ken go na bungim ol i kam antap? | He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
Tasol em i tok, Nogat. Nogut taim yupela i bungim ol ter i kam antap, yupela pulim i kam antap tu ol rop daunbilo bilong wit wantaim ol. | But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
Larim tupela wantaim i go bikpela wantaim inap long taim bilong kamautim kaikai. Na long taim bilong kamautim kaikai mi bai tokim ol man bilong kamautim kaikai, Yupela bungim ol ter wantaim pastaim, na pasim ol long ol mekpas long kukim ol. Tasol bungim ol wit i go insait long bakstua bilong mi. | Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
Narapela tok piksa em i putim i go ausait long ol, i spik, Kingdom bilong heven i olsem wanpela hap bilong pikinini mastet, dispela wanpela man i kisim, na planim insait long bikpela gaden bilong em. | Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:
Dispela, em i tru, em i las bilong olgeta pikinini kaikai. Tasol taim em i go bikpela, em i nambawan namel long ol sayor, na em i kamap wanpela diwai, inap long ol pisin bilong skai i kam na stap long ol han bilong en. | Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
Narapela tok piksa em i tokim ol, Kingdom bilong heven em i olsem yis, dispela wanpela meri i kisim, na haitim insait long tripela skel plaua, inap long dispela olgeta i gat yis. | Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
Olgeta dispela samting Jisas i tokim dispela bikpela lain tru long ol tok piksa. Na ausait long tok piksa em i no toktok long ol, | All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:
Inap long em i ken kamap pinis, dispela samting profet i toktok, i spik, Mi bai opim maus bilong mi long ol tok piksa. Mi bai toktok long ol dispela samting mi bin holim i stap hait i stat long stat bilong ol as ston bilong dispela graun. | That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.
Nau Jisas i salim dispela bikpela lain tru i go, na em i go insait long haus. Na ol disaipel bilong em i kam long em, i spik, Tokaut long mipela long tok piksa bilong ol ter bilong bikpela gaden. | Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
Em i bekim na tokim ol, Em husat i planim ol gutpela pikinini kaikai em i Pikinini Man bilong man. | He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
Bikpela gaden em i dispela graun. Gutpela pikinini kaikai em ol pikinini bilong kingdom. Tasol ol ter em ol pikinini bilong dispela man nogut. | The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
Dispela birua husat i planim ol em Seten. Kamautim bilong kaikai em i pinis bilong dispela graun. Na ol man bilong kamautim kaikai em ol ensel. | The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
Olsem na olsem ol i bungim ol ter na kukim ol long paia, olsem tasol bai em i stap long pinis bilong dispela graun. | As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
Pikinini Man bilong man bai salim ol ensel bilong em ausait, na ol bai bungim ausait long kingdom bilong em olgeta dispela samting i bagarapim bel, na ol husat i mekim sin nogut. | The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
Na ol bai tromoi ol i go long ples bilong strongpela paia. Bai i gat pasin bilong krai wantaim singaut na pasin bilong kaikaim ol tit. | And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Nau bai ol stretpela man i lait tru i go ausait olsem san insait long kingdom bilong Papa bilong ol. Husat i gat ol ia long harim, larim em harim. | Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
¶ Na gen, kingdom bilong heven em i olsem samting i dia tru ol i haitim long wanpela hap graun. Dispela, taim wanpela man i bin painim pinis, em i haitim, na long amamas tru bilong en em i go na salim olgeta samting em i gat, na baim dispela hap graun. | Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
Na gen, kingdom bilong heven i olsem wanpela bisnisman, taim em i painim ol gutpela kiau bilong golip. | Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
Husat, taim em i bin painim pinis wanpela kiau bilong golip i gat bikpela pe, em i go na salim olgeta samting em i gat, na baim dispela. | Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
Na gen, kingdom bilong heven i olsem wanpela umben, dispela ol i tromoi i go long biksi, na bungim bilong olgeta wan wan kain. | Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
Dispela, taim em i pulap, ol i pulim i kam long nambis, na sindaun, na bungim ol gutpela i go long ol sospen samting, tasol tromoi ol nogut i go. | Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
Em bai stap olsem long pinis bilong dispela graun. Ol ensel bai kam ausait, na katim ol man nogut i lusim ol stretpela man, | So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
Na ol bai tromoi ol i go insait long ples bilong strongpela paia. Na bai i gat pasin bilong krai wantaim singaut na pasin bilong kaikaim ol tit. | And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Jisas i tokim ol, Ating yupela i bin kisim save long olgeta dispela samting? Ol i tokim em, Yes, Bikpela. | Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.
Nau em i tokim ol, Olsem na olgeta wan wan man bilong rait husat i kisim skul long kingdom bilong heven em i olsem wanpela man husat i wanpela papa bilong haus, husat i bringeth ausait long ol samting i dia tru bilong em ol samting i nupela na olpela. | Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.
¶ Na em i kamap olsem, long taim Jisas i bin pinisim ol dispela tok piksa, em i lusim dispela ples. | And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence.
Na taim em i kam insait long hap graun bilong em yet, em i skulim ol long sinagog bilong ol, inap olsem long ol i kirap nogut, na tok, Dispela man i gat dispela save tru i kam long we, na ol dispela strongpela wok? | And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?
Ating i yes long dispela em i pikinini man bilong kamda? Ating i yes long ol i kolim mama bilong em Maria, na ol brata bilong em, Jems, na Joses, na Saimon, na Judas? | Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
Na ol susa bilong em, ating i yes long olgeta i stap wantaim yumi? Nau dispela man i gat olgeta dispela samting i kam long we? | And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?
Na bel bilong ol i bagarap long em. Tasol Jisas i tokim ol, Profet i no sot olgeta long ona long ol arapela hap, long kantri bilong em yet tasol, na insait long hauslain bilong em yet. | And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.
Na em i no wokim planti strongpela wok long dispela hap bikos i no gat pasin bilong bilip. | And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
