¶ Na Em i stat gen long skulim ol manmeri klostu long biksi. Na i gat i bung long Em wanpela traipela lain tru, inap long Em i go insait long wanpela sip, na sindaun long biksi. Na dispela bikpela lain tru olgeta i stap klostu long biksi long nambis. | And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land.
Na Em i skulim ol long planti samting long ol tok piksa, na tokim ol long skul bilong Em, | And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine,
Harim. Lukim, i gat i go ausait wanpela man bilong planim bilong planim. | Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:
Na em i kamap olsem, taim em i planim, sampela i pundaun klostu long sait bilong rot, na ol pisin bilong skai i kam na kaikai dispela olgeta. | And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.
Na sampela i pundaun long graun i gat ston, we em i no gat planti graun. Na wantu em i kam antap, bilong wanem, em i no gat graun i dip. | And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:
Tasol taim san i kam antap, em i kuk. Na bikos em i no gat rop daunbilo, em i go drai olgeta. | But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.
Na sampela i pundaun namel long ol rop i gat nil, na ol rop i gat nil i go bikpela, na pasim nek bilong en, na em i no karim kaikai. | And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.
Na arapela i pundaun long gutpela graun, na i bin karim dispela kaikai i kam antap na kamap planti moa. Na em i karim, sampela 30, sampela 60, na sampela 100. | And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.
Na Em i tokim ol, Em husat i gat ol ia bilong harim, larim em harim. | And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Na taim Em i stap wanpela, ol husat i stap nabaut long Em wantaim dispela twelpela i askim Em long dispela tok piksa. | And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.
Na Em i tokim ol, Long yupela God i givim long yupela i ken save long ol samting hait bilong kingdom bilong God. Tasol long ol husat i stap ausait, olgeta dispela samting Mi mekim em long ol tok piksa. | And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
Inap long taim ol i lukim ol i ken lukim, na ol i no ken kisim save. Na taim ol i harim ol i ken harim, na ol i no ken kisim save. Nogut long wanpela taim ol i ken senisim bilip, na God i ken lusim ol sin bilong ol. | That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.
Na Em i tokim ol, Ating i yes long yupela i save long dispela tok piksa? Na nau olsem wanem bai yupela i ken save long olgeta tok piksa? | And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?
Man bilong planim i planim tok bilong God. | The sower soweth the word.
Na ol dispela em ol husat i stap klostu long sait bilong rot, we em i planim tok bilong God. Tasol taim ol i bin harim, Seten i kam wantu, na kisim dispela tok i go, dispela em i planim insait long ol bel bilong ol. | And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.
Na ol dispela i wankain olsem ol husat em i planim long graun i gat ston. Husat, taim ol i harim tok bilong God, wantu ol i kisim dispela wantaim amamas. | And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;
Na ol i no gat rop daunbilo insait long ol yet, na olsem tasol ol i stap yet liklik taim tasol. Bihain long en, taim hevi o taim bilong kisim hevi i kirap bilong tingim tok bilong God, wantu bel bilong ol i bagarap. | And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended.
Na ol dispela em ol husat em i planim namel long ol rop i gat nil. Kain olsem husat i harim tok bilong God, | And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
Na ol wari bilong dispela graun, na ol giaman bilong ol mani samting, na ol aigris bilong ol arapela samting i kam insait, na pasim nek bilong tok bilong God, na em kamap samting i no karim kaikai. | And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
Na ol dispela em ol husat em i planim long gutpela graun. Kain olsem husat i harim tok bilong God, na kisim, na karim kaikai, sampela 30 taims, sampela 60, sampela 100. | And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.
¶ Na Em i tokim ol, Ating ol i bringim wanpela kandel bilong putim aninit long wanpela busel, o aninit long bet? Na ating i yes long ol i baim bilong putim antap long stik kandel? | And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?
Long wanem, i no gat wanpela samting hait, bai dispela i no inap kamap ples klia. Na tu i no gat wanpela samting ol i pasim hait, tasol long em i mas kam ausait. | For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.
Sapos wanpela man i gat ol ia bilong harim, larim em harim. | If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
Na Em i tokim ol, Was gut long yupela i harim wanem. Wantaim wanem skel yupela i skelim, ol bai skelim dispela long yupela. Na long yupela husat i harim bai ol i givim moa. | And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
Long wanem, em husat i gat, long em bai ol i givim. Na em husat i no gat, long em ol bai kisim, yes, dispela samting em i gat. | For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.
Na Em i tok, Kingdom bilong God i olsem, olsem sapos wanpela man i ken tromoi pikinini kaikai long graun. | And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
Na em i ken slip, na kirap long nait na san, na long pikinini kaikai i ken sut i kam antap na go bikpela, em i no save olsem wanem. | And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
Long wanem, dispela graun i karim kaikai long em yet. Kru pastaim, nau ia, bihain long dispela ia bilong wit samting i pulap. | For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
Tasol taim kaikai i kam ausait, wantu em i putim sarip i go insait, bilong wanem, taim bilong kamautim kaikai i kam pinis. | But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.
Na Em i tok, Mi bai toktok long kingdom bilong God i olsem long wanem samting? O yumi bai skelim dispela wantaim wanem samting? | And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?
Em i wankain olsem wanpela hap pikinini kaikai bilong mastet, husat, taim ol i planim long dispela graun, em i liklik moa long olgeta dispela pikinini kaikai i stap long dispela graun. | It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:
Tasol taim ol i planim, em i go bikpela, na em i kamap bikpela moa long olgeta arapela sayor, na sutim ol bikpela han i go ausait, inap long ol pisin bilong skai i ken kam stap aninit long tewel bilong san bilong en. | But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.
Na wantaim planti kain tok piksa olsem Em i tokim ol long tok bilong God, olsem ol i inap long harim. | And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it.
Tasol taim i no gat tok piksa Em i no tokim ol. Na taim ol i stap ol yet tasol, Em i kolim gut olgeta samting long ol disaipel bilong Em. | But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.
¶ Na long dispela de stret, taim apinun tru i kam pinis, Em i tokim ol, Yumi go hapsait i go long arapela sait. | And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.
Na taim ol i bin salim bikpela lain tru i go, ol i kisim Em, yes, taim Em i stap insait long sip. Na i gat i stap tu wantaim Em ol arapela liklik sip. | And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.
Na i gat wanpela bikpela win nogut i kirap, na ol sibruk i paitim paitim sip, inap long nau em i pulap. | And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
Na Em i stap long hap bilong sip i stap long baksait, na Em i slip long wanpela pilo. Na ol i kirapim Em, na tokim Em, Tisa, ating i yes long Yu no wari long mipela i wok long dai olgeta? | And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
Na Em i kirap, na hatim win, na tokim biksi, Bel isi, stap isi. Na win i pinis, na si i stap isi tru olgeta. | And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
Na Em i tokim ol, Bilong wanem yupela i pulap long pret olsem? Olsem wanem na em i stap long yupela i no gat bilip tru? | And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
Na ol i pret planti moa yet, na tok wanpela i go long narapela, Dispela em i wanem kain Man, long yes, win na biksi i bihainim tok bilong Em? | And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
