|---|---|---|
¶ Ju nau i gat wanem helpim bilong winim? O pasin bilong katim skin i gat wanem helpim? | What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?
Planti long olgeta wan wan rot. Nambawan, bikos God i putim ol tok i kam long maus bilong God long han bilong ol. | Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.
Long wanem, olsem wanem sapos sampela i no bin bilip? Ating pasin bilong i no gat bilip bilong ol bai mekim bilip tru bilong God i no gat pawa? | For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
I no ken tru. Yes, larim God i stap trupela, tasol olgeta wan wan man stap man bilong giaman, olsem rait i stap pinis, Inap long yu ken stap stretpela long ol toktok bilong yu, na yu ken winim ol taim ol i jasim yu. | God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
Tasol sapos pasin i no stretpela bilong yumi i soim wok bilong stretpela pasin bilong God, yumi bai tok wanem? Ating God i no stretpela husat i bekim pe nogut? (Mi toktok olsem man) | But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)
I no ken tru. Long wanem, nau bai God i jasim dispela graun olsem wanem? | God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?
Long wanem, sapos tok tru bilong God i bin pulap tru moa long wok bilong giaman bilong mi i go long glori bilong em, bilong wanem yet em i jasim mi tu olsem wanpela sinman? | For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
Na i no mobeta, (olsem ol i wokim ripot bilong giamanim nem bilong yumi, na olsem sampela i tok yes long yumi tok,) Larim yumi mekim pasin nogut, inap long gutpela samting i ken kamap? Husat pe nogut bilong kot bilong ol i stretpela. | And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.
Wanem nau? Ating yumi winim ol? Nogat, na nogat olgeta. Long wanem, yumi bin pruvim bipo long ol Ju na ol man i no Ju wantaim, long ol olgeta i stap aninit long sin. | What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
Olsem rait i stap pinis, I no gat wanpela i stretpela, nogat, i no gat wanpela. | As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
I no gat wanpela i gat save, i no gat wanpela i painim strong God. | There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
Ol olgeta i go ausait long rot, ol wantaim i kamap samting i no gutpela bilong helpim. I no gat wanpela husat i mekim gutpela pasin, nogat, i no gat wanpela. | They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Nek bilong ol i wanpela matmat i op. Wantaim ol tang bilong ol ol i bin yusim pasin giaman. Marasin nogut bilong ol asp i stap aninit long ol lip bilong ol, | Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
Husat maus bilong ol i pulap wantaim ol tok nogut na bel i pait tru. | Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
Ol lek bilong ol i ran hariap long kapsaitim blut. | Their feet are swift to shed blood:
Bagarap olgeta na hevi nogut i stap long ol rot bilong ol. | Destruction and misery are in their ways:
Na rot bilong bel isi ol i no bin save. | And the way of peace have they not known:
I no gat pret long God i stap long ai bilong ol ai bilong ol. | There is no fear of God before their eyes.
¶ Nau yumi save long wanem samting lo i tok, em i tok long ol husat i stap aninit long lo, inap long em i ken pasim olgeta wan wan maus, na olgeta man bilong dispela graun i ken kamap man i gat asua long ai bilong God. | Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
Olsem na long ol wok bilong lo bai i no gat wanpela man i kamap stretpela long ai bilong em. Long wanem, long lo ol man i kisim save long sin. | Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Tasol nau stretpela pasin bilong God ausait long lo i kamap ples klia, taim lo na ol profet i witnes long dispela. | But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Yes, stretpela pasin bilong God, dispela i kam long bilip tru bilong Jisas Kraist i go long olgeta na antap long olgeta husat i bilip. Long wanem, i no gat wanpela i narakain. | Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
Long wanem, olgeta i bin mekim sin, na kamap sot long glori bilong God, | For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Taim marimari bilong em i mekim ol i kamap stretpela na i no gat samting i pasim, long wok bilong baim bek i stap insait long Kraist Jisas, | Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Husat God i bin putim long stap samting bilong kolim belhat bilong God long wok bilong bilip tru long blut bilong em, long tokaut long stretpela pasin bilong em bilong pasin bilong lusim ol dispela sin i stap bipo, long wok bilong pasin bilong stap isi bilong God. | Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Long tokaut, mi tok, long dispela taim long stretpela pasin bilong em, inap long em i ken stap stretpela, na man bilong mekim stretpela em husat i putim bilip long Jisas. | To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
Nau pasin bilong litimapim nem nating i stap we? Em i stap ausait. Long wanem lo? Bilong ol wok? Nogat, tasol long lo bilong bilip tru. | Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
Olsem na mipela i pasim tok pinis long man i kamap stretpela long bilip tru i no gat ol wok bilong lo insait long en. | Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
Ating em i God bilong ol Ju tasol? Ating i yes long em i God tu bilong ol man i no Ju? Yes, bilong ol man i no Ju tu, | Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
Taim yumi luksave em i wanpela God, husat bai mekim ol man bilong katim skin kamap stretpela long bilip tru, na ol man i no katim skin long wok bilong bilip tru. | Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
Ating nau yumi mekim lo i stap nating olgeta long wok bilong bilip tru? I no ken tru. Yes, yumi strongim lo. | Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
