¶ Pol, wokboi bilong Jisas Kraist, husat God i singautim long stap wanpela aposel, bruk i go long gutnius bilong God, Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
(Dispela em i bin promisim bipo long ol profet bilong em insait long rait holi bilong God,) (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)
Long sait bilong Pikinini Man bilong em Jisas Kraist, Bikpela bilong yumi, husat i kamap long tumbuna pikinini bilong Devit bilong bihainim sait bilong bodi. Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
Na God i tokaut long em i stap Pikinini Man bilong God wantaim pawa, bilong bihainim spirit bilong pasin holi, long kirap bek long dai, And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
Long husat mipela i bin kisim marimari na wok aposel, long wanem, mipela i bihainim bilip tru namel long olgeta kantri, bilong tingim nem bilong em, By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
Namel long husat yupela tu Jisas Kraist i singautim. Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:
Dispela pas i go long olgeta husat i stap long Rom, ol man i stap klostu tru long bel bilong God, husat em i singautim bilong stap ol seint. Marimari i go long yupela na bel isi i kam long God, Papa bilong yumi, na Bikpela Jisas Kraist. To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
¶ Namba wan, mi tok tenkyu long God bilong mi long yupela olgeta long nem bilong Jisas Kraist, long olgeta hap bilong dispela graun ol man i toktok long bilip tru bilong yupela. First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
Long wanem, God em i witnes bilong mi, husat mi bihainim wantaim spirit bilong mi insait long gutnius bilong Pikinini Man bilong em, long mi no lusim pasin bilong kolim nem bilong yupela olgeta taim long ol prea bilong mi, For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;
Taim mi wokim askim, sapos long wanpela rot long dispela taim nau long mi ken gat gutpela wokabaut, long laik bilong God, long kam long yupela. Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.
Long wanem, mi gat laik tru long lukim yupela, inap long mi ken givim yupela wanpela presen long sait bilong spirit, long dispela as, yupela i ken stap strong. For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;
Em i olsem, inap long mi ken kisim bel isi wantaim wantaim yupela long dispela wankain bilip tru bilong yupela na mi wantaim. That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.
Nau mi no gat laik long yupela i no klia, ol brata, long planti taim mi wokim tingting long kam long yupela, (tasol rot i pas inap long nau,) inap long mi ken i gat sampela kaikai namel long yupela tu, yes, olsem namel long ol arapela man i no Ju. Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.
Mi man i gat dinau long ol Grik, na ol wail man wantaim, long ol saveman, na long ol man i no gat save tru wantaim. I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.
Olsem na, hamas samting olsem i stap insait long mi, mi redi long autim gutnius long yupela husat i stap long Rom tu. So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
¶ Long wanem, mi no sem long gutnius bilong Kraist. Long wanem, em i pawa bilong God bilong kisim bek long olgeta wan wan husat i bilip, long Ju pastaim, na tu long Grik. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Long wanem, insait long en stretpela pasin bilong God i kamap ples klia long bilip tru i go long bilip tru, olsem rait i stap pinis, Stretpela man bai stap laip long bilip tru. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Long wanem, belhat tru bilong God i kamap ples klia i kam long heven i birua long olgeta pasin bilong ol man i no bihainim God na i no stretpela, husat i holim tok tru long pasin i no stretpela, For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
¶ Bikos dispela samting ol i ken save long God i kamap ples klia insait long ol. Long wanem, God i bin soim dispela long ol. Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
Long wanem, ol samting man i no inap long lukim bilong em, i stat long taim God i kamapim olgeta samting bilong dispela graun long nating, ol man i lukim klia, taim ol i kisim save long ol samting em i wokim, yes, pawa na pasin bilong em bilong stap God Olgeta oltaim oltaim, inap long ol i no inap bekim tok, For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Bikos, taim ol i save long God, ol i no givim glori long em olsem God, na tu ol i no tok tenkyu. Tasol ol i kamap samting nating insait long ol tingting nating bilong ol, na kranki bel bilong ol i kamap tudak. Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Taim ol i tokaut long ol yet i saveman, ol i kamap ol krankiman, Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Na senisim glori bilong God i no save bagarap i kamap wanpela piksa ol i wokim i wankain olsem man i save bagarap, na ol pisin, na ol animal i gat fopela lek, na ol samting i wokabaut long bel. And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Olsem na God tu i givim ol i go long pasin i no klin long wok bilong ol aigris bilong ol bel bilong ol yet, long bagarapim ona bilong ol bodi bilong ol yet namel long ol yet, Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Husat i bin senisim tok tru bilong God i kamap wanpela giaman, na lotuim na bihainim samting God i wokim moa long dispela Man i Kamapim Olgeta Samting Long Nating, husat i gat blesing oltaim oltaim. Amen. Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Long dispela as God i givim ol i go long ol laik nogut tru bilong bel. Long wanem, yes, ol meri bilong ol i bin senisim pasin marit i stret i go long dispela pasin i birua long pasin i stret. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Na wankain olsem tu ol man, taim ol lusim pasin marit i stret wantaim meri, i kuk long aigris bilong ol wanpela i go long narapela, ol man wantaim ol man i wokim dispela samting i no stretpela, na ol i kisim insait long ol yet dispela samting bilong bekim pe bilong rong bilong ol, dispela i fit stret. And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Na yes, olsem ol i no bin gat laik long holim yet God insait long save bilong ol, God i givim ol i go olgeta long wanpela tingting nogut, long mekim ol dispela samting, dispela i no fit, And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Taim ol i pulap wantaim olgeta pasin i no stretpela, pamuk pasin, pasin nogut, pasin mangal, pasin bilong bel nogut long narapela, pulap long mangal tingting, pasin bilong kilim man, pasin bilong tok pait, pasin bilong giaman, pasin bilong bagarapim narapela, ol man bilong tok isi isi hait, Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Ol man bilong tok baksait, ol man i hetim God, ol man i tingting nogut tru, ol man i hambak, ol man bilong litimapim ol yet nating, ol man bilong kamapim ol samting nogut, ol man i sakim tok bilong ol papamama, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Ol man i no gat save, ol man bilong brukim kontrak, ol man i no gat laik bilong bel i stret, ol man i no gat laik tru long stretim tok, ol man i no gat pasin sori, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Husat taim ol i save long kot bilong God, long ol husat i mekim ol kain samting olsem ol i inap long dai, ol i no mekim wankain samting tasol, tasol ol i gat amamas insait long ol husat i mekim. Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
