¶ Na moa tu, ol brata, mi tokaut i go long yupela long dispela gutnius mi bin autim long yupela, dispela tu yupela i bin kisim, na we yupela i sanap long en. | Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
Long dispela tu God i kisim bek yupela, sapos yupela i holimpas long tingting wanem samting mi autim long yupela, sapos yupela i no bin bilip nating. | By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
Long wanem, mi givim long yupela pastaim bilong olgeta dispela samting mi tu i bin kisim, olsem long Kraist i bin dai long ol sin bilong yumi bilong bihainim ol rait bilong God. | For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
Na long ol i planim em, na long em i kirap bek gen long namba tri de bilong bihainim ol rait bilong God, | And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Na long Sifas i lukim em, nau bihain dispela twelpela. | And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
Bihain long dispela, antap long 500 brata i lukim em long wanpela taim, bilong husat bikpela hap moa bilong ol i stap yet inap long nau, tasol sampela i slip pinis. | After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
Bihain long dispela, Jems i lukim em, nau olgeta bilong ol aposel. | After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
Na las bilong olgeta mi tu mi lukim em, olsem wanpela husat i kamap nupela ausait long taim stret. | And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
Long wanem, mi las man bilong ol aposel, inap long mi no fit long ol i ken kolim mi wanpela aposel, bilong wanem, mi bin givim hevi long sios bilong God. | For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
Tasol long marimari bilong God mi stap wanem samting mi stap. Na dispela marimari bilong em em i givim long mi i no stap nating. Tasol mi hatwok planti moa yet long ol olgeta. Tasol i no mi, tasol dispela marimari bilong God i stap wantaim mi. | But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
Olsem na sapos em i mi o ol, olsem tasol mipela i autim tok, na olsem tasol yupela i bin bilip. | Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.
¶ Nau sapos yumi autim tok long Kraist long em i kirap bek pinis long dai, olsem wanem sampela i tok namel long yupela long i no gat kirap bek long dai? | Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
Tasol sapos i no gat kirap bek long dai, orait Kraist i no kirap bek. | But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
Na sapos Kraist i no kirap bek, orait autim tok bilong yumi em i samting nating, na bilip tru bilong yupela tu em i samting nating. | And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
Yes, na ol bai lukim yumi tu olsem ol giaman witnes bilong God, bilong wanem, yumi bin tokaut long God long em i kirapim Kraist, husat em i no kirapim, sapos em i olsem long ol daiman i no kirap bek. | Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
Long wanem, sapos ol daiman i no kirap bek, orait Kraist i no kirap bek. | For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
Na sapos Kraist i no kirap bek, bilip tru bilong yupela em i samting nating. Yupela i stap yet long ol sin bilong yupela. | And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
Nau ol tu husat i slip pinis insait long Kraist i bin dai olgeta. | Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
Sapos long dispela laip tasol yumi gat hop long Kraist, yumi i winim olgeta man long pulap long ol hevi nogut. | If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
¶ Tasol nau Kraist i kirap bek pinis long dai, na em i kamap ol namba wan kaikai bilong ol husat i slip pinis. | But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
Long wanem, bikos dai i kam long wok bilong man, long wok bilong man tu kirap bek long dai i kam. | For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
Long wanem, olsem insait long Adam olgeta i dai, yes, olsem tasol insait long Kraist bai olgeta i ken kisim laip. | For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
Tasol olgeta wan wan man long taim bilong em yet. Kraist em i ol namba wan kaikai. Bihain long en ol husat i bilong Kraist taim em i kam. | But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
Nau pinis i kam, taim em i bin givim kingdom i go long God, yes, Papa, taim em i bin putim i go daun olgeta namba bilong bosim na olgeta namba na pawa. | Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
Long wanem, em i mas bosim kingdom, inap long taim em i bin putim olgeta birua aninit long tupela fut bilong em. | For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
Las birua husat em bai bagarapim olgeta em dai. | The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
Long wanem, em i bin putim olgeta samting aninit long tupela fut bilong em. Tasol taim em i tok olgeta samting em i putim aninit long em, em i klia tru long em i no kaunim em, husat i bin putim olgeta samting aninit long em. | For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
Na taim olgeta samting bai stap aninit long em, nau bai Pikinini Man tu em yet i stap aninit long em husat i putim olgeta samting aninit long em, inap long God i ken stap olgeta insait long olgeta. | And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
Sapos nogat, ol man husat i kisim baptais bilong daiman bai mekim wanem samting, sapos daiman i no kirap bek liklik? Bilong wanem nau ol i kisim baptais bilong daiman? | Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?
Na bilong wanem mipela i sanap aninit long bikpela bagarap olgeta wan wan aua? | And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?
Mi mekim strongpela tok i birua long ol amamas tru yupela i wokim, dispela mi gat insait long Kraist Jisas, Bikpela bilong yumi, mi dai olgeta wan wan de. | I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
Sapos long bihainim pasin bilong ol man mi bin pait wantaim ol animal long Efesas, em bai helpim mi olsem wanem, sapos daiman i no kirap bek? Larim yumi kaikai na dring, long wanem, tumora yumi bai dai. | If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.
No ken bilipim giaman. Toktok nogut i bagarapim ol gutpela pasin. | Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
Kirap long stretpela pasin, na no ken mekim sin. Long wanem, sampela i no gat dispela save bilong God. Mi toktok long dispela long tingim sem bilong yupela. | Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
¶ Tasol sampela man bai tok, Daiman i kirap bek olsem wanem? Na ol i kam wantaim wanem kain bodi? | But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
Yu krankiman, dispela samting yu planim i no kisim laip, sapos em i no dai pastaim. | Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
Na dispela samting yu planim, yu no planim dispela kain bodi, dispela i bai kamap, tasol pikinini bilong en stret, em i ken bilong wit o bilong sampela arapela kain. | And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
Tasol God i givim dispela wanpela bodi olsem em i bin amamasim bel bilong em, na long olgeta wan wan pikinini kaikai bodi bilong em yet. | But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
Olgeta bodi i no wankain bodi. Tasol i gat wanpela kain bodi bilong ol man, narapela bodi bilong ol animal, narapela bilong ol pis, na narapela bilong ol pisin. | All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
I gat tu ol bodi bilong skai, na ol bodi bilong graun. Tasol glori bilong ol bodi bilong skai em i wanpela, na glori bilong bodi bilong graun em i narapela. | There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
I gat wanpela glori bilong san, na narapela glori bilong mun, na narapela glori bilong ol sta. Long wanem, wanpela sta i narakain long narapela sta long glori. | There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
Olsem tu em kirap bek bilong daiman. Yumi planim dispela olsem bodi i bagarap. Em i kirap bek olsem bodi i no inap bagarap. | So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
Yumi planim dispela long pasin i no gat ona. Em i kirap bek wantaim glori. Yumi planim dispela long pasin i no gat strong. Em i kirap bek wantaim pawa. | It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
Yumi planim dispela wanpela bodi bilong bodi sait. Em i kirap bek wanpela bodi bilong spirit sait. I gat bodi bilong bodi sait, na i gat bodi bilong spirit sait. | It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
Na rait i stap pinis olsem, Em i mekim namba wan man Adam wanpela tewel i stap laip. Em i mekim las Adam wanpela spirit bilong givim laip. | And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
Tasol dispela i stap pastaim em i no dispela i bilong spirit sait, tasol dispela samting i stap long bodi sait. Na bihain long en dispela samting i stap long spirit sait. | Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
Namba wan man em i bilong dispela graun, em i kam long graun. Namba tu man em i Bikpela i kam long heven. | The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
Olsem samting i kam long graun i stap, ol i stap kain tu husat i kam long graun. Na olsem samting i kam long heven i stap, ol i stap kain tu husat i kam long heven. | As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
Na olsem yumi bin stap piksa tru bilong samting i stap long dispela graun, yumi bai stap piksa tru tu bilong samting i kam long heven. | And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
Nau mi tok dispela, ol brata, long bodi na blut i no inap kisim kingdom bilong God olsem samting papa i givim pikinini. Na tu samting i bagarap i no inap kisim samting i no inap bagarap olsem samting papa i givim pikinini. | Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
¶ Lukim, mi soim yupela wanpela samting hait. Yumi olgeta bai i no inap slip, tasol yumi olgeta bai senis, | Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
Wantu tasol, long taim bilong ai i lait, long las biugel. Long wanem, biugel bai krai, na ol daiman bai kirap bek wantaim bodi i no inap bagarap, na yumi olgeta bai senis. | In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Long wanem, dispela bodi i bagarap i mas putim bodi i no inap bagarap, na dispela bodi i ken dai i mas kamap bodi i no ken dai. | For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
Inap long taim dispela bodi i bagarap i bin kamap pinis bodi i no inap bagarap, na dispela bodi i ken dai i bin kamap bodi i no ken dai, nau bai dispela toktok i kamap pinis, dispela rait i stap pinis, Winim pait i bin daunim dai olgeta. | So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
O dai, samting bilong givim pen bilong yu i stap we? O matmat, winim pait bilong yu i stap we? | O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
Samting bilong givim pen bilong dai em sin. Na strong bilong sin em lo. | The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
Tasol tok tenkyu i go long God, husat i mekim yumi winim pait long wok bilong Bikpela bilong yumi Jisas Kraist. | But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
¶ Olsem na, ol brata i stap klostu long bel bilong mi, yupela sanap strong, ol man i no inap muv, olgeta taim yupela i mas pulap tru insait long wok bilong Bikpela, bikos yupela i save long hatwok bilong yupela i no samting nating insait long Bikpela. | Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
