¶ Nau long sait bilong ol presen long spirit sait, ol brata, mi no gat laik long yupela i no klia. | Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
Yupela i save long yupela i bin stap ol man i no Ju, na ol piksa bilong god giaman i mauspas i bin karim yupela i go, yes, olsem ol i stiaim yupela. | Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
Olsem na mi givim long yupela long save, long i no gat man, taim em i toktok long Spirit bilong God, husat i kolim Jisas samting i lus olgeta. Na long i no gat man i ken tok long Jisas em i Bikpela, sapos i no long Holi Spirit tasol. | Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
Nau i gat kain kain presen, tasol wanpela Spirit stret. | Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
Na i gat ol narakain rot bilong lukautim samting, tasol wanpela Bikpela stret. | And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
Na i gat kain kain wok, tasol em i dispela wanpela God stret husat i wokim olgeta insait long olgeta. | And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
Tasol long olgeta wan wan man God i givim samting i mekim Spirit i kamap ples klia, long kisim helpim wantaim. | But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
Long wanem, long wanpela, Spirit i givim tok bilong save tru, long narapela tok bilong save, long dispela Spirit stret, | For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
Long narapela bilip tru, long dispela Spirit stret, long narapela ol presen bilong stretim sik, long dispela Spirit stret, | To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
Long narapela pawa bilong wokim ol mirakel, long narapela wok bilong autim tok profet, long narapela bilong klia tru long ol spirit, long narapela ol kain kain tok ples, long narapela save bilong tanim ol tok ples. | To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
Tasol olgeta dispela i kam long wok bilong dispela wanpela Spirit stret, taim em i brukim long olgeta wan wan man olsem em i gat laik. | But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
¶ Long wanem, olsem bodi em i wanpela, na i gat planti hap bilong bodi, na olgeta hap bilong bodi i bilong dispela wanpela bodi, taim ol i stap planti, ol i wanpela bodi, Kraist tu i olsem. | For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
Long wanem, long wanpela Spirit yumi olgeta i kisim baptais insait long wanpela bodi, sapos yumi stap ol Ju o ol man i no Ju, sapos yumi stap slevman o friman. Na God i bin mekim yumi olgeta long dring insait long wanpela Spirit. | For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
Long wanem, bodi i no wanpela hap bilong bodi, tasol planti. | For the body is not one member, but many.
Sapos fut bai tok, Bikos mi no stap han, mi no bilong bodi, ating i yes long olsem na em i bilong bodi? | If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
Na sapos ia bai tok, Bikos mi no stap ai, mi no bilong bodi, ating i yes long olsem na em i bilong bodi? | And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
Sapos bodi olgeta em i wanpela ai, pasin bilong harim em we? Sapos bodi olgeta em i pasin bilong harim, pasin bilong smelim i stap we? | If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
Tasol nau God i bin putim ol hap bilong bodi, olgeta wan wan bilong ol, insait long bodi, olsem dispela i bin amamasim bel bilong em. | But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
Na sapos ol olgeta i wanpela hap bilong bodi, bodi i stap we? | And if they were all one member, where were the body?
Tasol nau ol i planti hap bilong bodi, yet wanpela bodi tasol. | But now are they many members, yet but one body.
Na ai i no inap tokim han, mi no gat nid long yu, o gen het long tupela fut, mi no gat nid long yupela. | And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
Nogat. Planti moa ol dispela hap bilong bodi, husat i luk olsem ol i no gat strong moa, bodi i gat nid long ol. | Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
Na ol dispela hap bilong bodi bilong dispela bodi, dispela yumi ting i gat liklik ona moa, antap long ol dispela yumi givim planti ona moa yet. Na ol hap bilong bodi i no fit tru i fit tru i planti moa yet. | And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
Long wanem, ol hap bilong bodi bilong yumi i fit tru i no gat nid. Tasol God i bin abusim bodi wantaim, taim em i givim ona i planti moa yet long dispela hap bilong bodi husat i sot, | For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:
Inap long i no ken gat bruk insait long bodi, tasol long olgeta hap bilong bodi i ken gat wankain helpim wanpela i go long narapela. | That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
Na sapos wanpela hap bilong bodi i karim pen, olgeta hap bilong bodi i karim pen wantaim em. O sapos wanpela hap bilong bodi i kisim ona, olgeta hap bilong bodi i wokim amamas tru wantaim em. | And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
¶ Nau yupela i stap bodi bilong Kraist, na ol hap bilong bodi stret bilong em. | Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
Na God i bin putim sampela insait long sios, namba wan ol aposel, namba tu ol profet, namba tri ol tisa, bihain long dispela ol mirakel, nau ol presen bilong stretim sik, ol helpim, ol gavman, ol kain kain tok ples. | And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
Olgeta em i ol aposel? Olgeta em i ol profet? Olgeta em i ol tisa? Olgeta em i ol man bilong wokim ol mirakel? | Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
Ating olgeta i gat ol presen bilong stretim sik? Ating olgeta i toktok wantaim ol tok ples? Ating olgeta i tanim tok? | Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
Tasol mangalim strong ol nambawan presen. Na yet mi soim yupela wanpela rot i gutpela moa olgeta. | But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
