1 Och HERren sade til Mose: Tala til Presterna, Aarons söner, och säg til dem: En Prester skall icke orena sig på någon dödan af sitt folk; And the Lord said unto Moses, Speak unto the priests the sons of Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none be defiled for the dead among his people:
2 Utan på sin skyldman, den honom näst tilkommer, såsom på sin moder, på sin fader, på sin son, på sin dotter, på sin broder; But for his kin, that is near unto him, that is, for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother,
3 Och på sin syster, den ännu en jungfru och ingens mans hustru warit hafwer; den hans nästa skyldman är, på dem må han orena sig. And for his sister a virgin, that is nigh unto him, which hath had no husband; for her may he be defiled.
4 Eljest skall han icke orena sig på någon, som honom är wederkommande ibland hans folk, så at han sig ohelgar. But he shall not defile himself, being a chief man among his people, to profane himself.
5 Han skall ock ingen plätt göra på sitt hufwud, eller afraka sitt skägg, och på hans kropp intet märke skära. They shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.
6 De skola sinom Gudi helige wara, och icke ohelga sins Guds namn: Förty de offra HERrans offer, deras Guds bröd; derföre skola de wara helige. They shall be holy unto their God, and not profane the name of their God: for the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and the bread of their God, they do offer: therefore they shall be holy.
7 Han skall icke taga någon sköko, eller ena förkränkta, eller den som af sin man bortdrifwen är; ty han är helig sinom Gudi. They shall not take a wife that is a whore, or profane; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband: for he is holy unto his God.
8 Derföre skalt du räkna honom helig; ty han offrar dins Guds bröd. Han skall wara dig helig; ty jag är helig, HERren som eder helgar. Thou shalt sanctify him therefore; for he offereth the bread of thy God: he shall be holy unto thee: for I the Lord, which sanctify you, am holy.
9 Om ens Prests dotter begynner til at bola, den skall man upbränna i elde; ty hon hafwer skämt sin fader. And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire.
10 Hwilken öfwerste Prester är ibland hans bröder, på hwilkens hufwud smörjooljan gutin är, och hans hand fylld är, så at han med kläden iklädd warder, den skall icke blotta sitt hufwud, och icke skära sin kläder sönder. And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes;
11 Och skall til ingen dödan komma, och skall icke orena sig, hwarken öfwer fader eller moder. Neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother;
12 Utu helgedomenom skall han icke gå, at han icke ohelgar sins Guds helgedom. Ty wigelsen, hans Guds smörjoolja, är på honom: Jag är HERren. Neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am the Lord.
13 Ena jungfru skall han taga sig til hustru: And he shall take a wife in her virginity.
14 Men inga enko, eller bortdrefna, eller förkränkta, eller sköko; utan ena jungfru, af sitt folk, skall han taga til hustru; A widow, or a divorced woman, or profane, or an harlot, these shall he not take: but he shall take a virgin of his own people to wife.
15 På det han icke skall ohelga sina säd ibland sitt folk; ty jag är HERren, som honom helgar. Neither shall he profane his seed among his people: for I the Lord do sanctify him.
16 Och HERren talade med Mose, och sade: And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
17 Tala med Aaron, och säg: Om någor wank är på någrom af dine säd uti edart slägte, den skall icke gå fram, at han offrar sins Guds bröd: Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God.
18 Förty hwar och en, den någon wank hafwer, skall icke gå fram, ware sig blind, halt, med ene stygga näso, med oskickeliga lemmar: For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,
19 Eller den som hafwer en sönderbruten fot eller hand: Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded,
20 Eller kroppog är, eller hinno på ögonen hafwer, eller windögd, eller maslog, eller skabbog, eller förbråken är. Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;
21 Den som nu af Prestens Aarons säd hafwer en wank uppå sig, han skall icke gå fram til at offra HERrans offer; ty han hafwer en wank, derföre skall han intet nalkas intil sins Guds bröd, at han dem offrar. No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the Lord made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God.
22 Dock skall han äta af sins Guds bröde, både af det helgo, så ock af de aldrahelgasto. He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy.
23 Men dock skall han icke komma in til förlotten, ej heller nalkas altarena, så länge sådana wank på honom är, at han icke ohelgar min helgedom; ty jag är HERren, som helgar dem. Only he shall not go in unto the vail, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he hath a blemish; that he profane not my sanctuaries: for I the Lord do sanctify them.
24 Och Mose sade detta til Aaron, och til hans söner, och til all Israels barn. And Moses told it unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel.
