| 1 | Och HERren talade med Mose, och sade: | And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, |
| 2 | Säg Israels barnom: Hwilken af Israels barn, eller en främling, som bor i Israel, gifwer af sine säd Molec, han skall döden dö; folket i landena skall stena honom. | Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones. |
| 3 | Och jag skall sätta mitt anlete emot sådana mennisko, och skall utrota honom utu hans folk; derföre, at han af sine säd gifwit hafwer Molec, och orenat min helgedom, och ohelgat mitt helga namn. | And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name. |
| 4 | Och om folket i landet se genom ttnger med de menniskone, som af sine säd hafwer gifwit Molec, så at de icke dräpa honom; | And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not: |
| 5 | Så will jag dock sätta mitt anlete emot den menniskan, och emot hans slägt, och skall utrota honom, och alla de som efter honom med Molec hor bedrifwit hafwa, utu deras folk. | Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people. |
| 6 | Om en själ wänder sig til spåmän och teknatydare, så at hon hor bedrifwer efter dem; så will jag sätta mitt anlete emot den samma själen, och will utrota henne utu hennes folk. | And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people. |
| 7 | Derföre helger eder, och warer helige; ty jag är HERren edar Gud. | Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the Lord your God. |
| 8 | Och håller mina stadgar, och görer dem; ty jag är HERren, den eder helgar. | And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the Lord which sanctify you. |
| 9 | Den som bannar sin fader eller sina moder, han skall döden dö; hans blod ware öfwer honom, at han sin fader eller moder bannat hafwer. | For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him. |
| 10 | Den som hor bedrifwer med någors mans hustru, den skall döden dö, både horkarlen och horkonan; derföre, at han med sins nästas hustru hor bedrifwit hafwer. | And the man that committeth adultery with another man’s wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death. |
| 11 | Om någor ligger när sins faders hustru, så at han sins faders blygd blottat hafwer, de skola både döden dö; deras blod ware öfwer dem. | And the man that lieth with his father’s wife hath uncovered his father’s nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. |
| 12 | Om någor ligger när sina sonahust ru, så skola de både döden dö; förty de hafwa gjort ena skam; deras blod ware öfwer dem. | And if a man lie with his daughter in law, both of them shall surely be put to death: they have wrought confusion; their blood shall be upon them. |
| 13 | Om någor ligger nära en dräng, såsom när ena qwinno, de hafwa gjort en stygghet, och skola både döden dö; deras blod ware öfwer dem. | If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. |
| 14 | Om någor tager en hustru, och hennes moder dertil, han hafwer gjort en last; man skall bränna honom up i elde, och de båda med, at ingen last blifwer ibland eder. | And if a man take a wife and her mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they; that there be no wickedness among you. |
| 15 | Om någor hafwer skaffa med oskälig djur, han skall döden dö, och djuret skall man dräpa. | And if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and ye shall slay the beast. |
| 16 | Om en qwinna låter sig in til något oskäligt djur, så at hon dermed hafwer skaffa, den skalt du dräpa, och djuret desslikes: Döden skola de dö; deras blod ware öfwer dem. | And if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down thereto, thou shalt kill the woman, and the beast: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. |
| 17 | Om någor tager sina syster, sins faders dotter, eller sine moders dotter, och skådar hennes blygd, och hon åter hans blygd, det är en skam; de skola förgöras inför deras slägtes folk: Ty han hafwer blottat sine systers blygd; han skall bära sina skuld. | And if a man shall take his sister, his father’s daughter, or his mother’s daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness; it is a wicked thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people: he hath uncovered his sister’s nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity. |
| 18 | Om en man ligger när ena qwinno i hennes krankhets tid, och blottar hennes blygd, och uplåter hennes brunn, och hon blottar sins blods brunn; de skola både förgjorde warda utu deras folk. | And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness; he hath discovered her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people. |
| 19 | Dine modersysters blygd, och dine fadersysters blygd skalt du icke blotta: Ty en sådana hafwer sina nästa blodsfränko blottat; och de skola bära deras skuld. | And thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother’s sister, nor of thy father’s sister: for he uncovereth his near kin: they shall bear their iniquity. |
| 20 | Om någor ligger när sins faderbroders hustru, den hafwer sins faderbroders blygd blottat: De skola bära deras synd; utan barn skola de dö. | And if a man shall lie with his uncle’s wife, he hath uncovered his uncle’s nakedness: they shall bear their sin; they shall die childless. |
| 21 | Om någor tager sins broders hustru, det är en skamlig gerning: De skola wara utan barn, derföre, at han hafwer sins broders blygd blottat. | And if a man shall take his brother’s wife, it is an unclean thing: he hath uncovered his brother’s nakedness; they shall be childless. |
| 22 | Så håller nu alla mina stadgar och mina rätter, och görer dem, på det landet icke utspyr eder, der jag eder införer, at I deruti bo skolen. | Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, spue you not out. |
| 23 | Och wandrer icke uti Hedningarnas stadgar, hwilka jag skall utdrifwa för eder; ty allt sådant hafwa de gjort, och jag hafwer haft en styggelse wid dem. | And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them. |
| 24 | Men eder säger jag: I skolen besitta deras land; ty jag skall gifwa eder et land i arf, der mjölk och hannog uti flyter: Jag är HERren edar Gud, den eder afskilt hafwer ifrån annat folk: | But I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the Lord your God, which have separated you from other people. |
| 25 | At I ock skilja skolen den rena boskapen ifrå den orena; och orena foglar ifrå de rena; och icke orena edra själar på boskap, på foglar, och på allt det på jordene kryper, det jag eder afskilt hafwer, at det skall wara orent. | Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean. |
| 26 | Derföre skolen I wara mig helige; ty jag HERren är helig, den eder afskilt hafwer ifrån annat folk, at I skolen höra mig til. | And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine. |
| 27 | Om någor man eller qwinna warder en spåman, eller en teknatydare, de skola döden dö; Man skall stena dem; deras blod ware öfwer dem. | A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them. |
