| 1 | Bardzo mnie uciskali od mojej młodości, niech powie teraz Izrael; | Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say: |
| 2 | Bardzo mnie uciskali od mojej młodości, lecz mnie nie przemogli. | Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me. |
| 3 | Zorali mój grzbiet oracze i długie bruzdy porobili. | The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows. |
| 4 | Ale Pan jest sprawiedliwy; poprzecinał powrozy niegodziwych. | The Lord is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked. |
| 5 | Niech się zawstydzą i cofną wszyscy, którzy nienawidzą Syjonu. | Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion. |
| 6 | Będą jak trawa na dachu, która usycha, zanim zakwitnie; | Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up: |
| 7 | Którą żniwiarz nie napełni swej garści ani swego naręcza ten, który wiąże snopy. | Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom. |
