절	새한글성경 (2024)	King James Version
1	엘리후는 말을 이었다.	Elihu spake moreover, and said,
2	“어르신은 이런 것을 정의라고 생각하시는지요? 어르신은 말씀하셨어요. ‘나의 공의는 하나님에게서 온 것이지.’	Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God’s?
3	어르신은 이렇게 말씀하고 있습니다. ‘주님께 무슨 도움이 됩니까? 저는 무엇을 얻을 수 있습니까, 제가 죄를 짓지 않는다고 해서요?’	For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?
4	제가 어르신께 대답을 드리겠습니다. 그리고 어르신 곁에 계신 친구분들께도요.	I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee.
5	하늘을 쳐다보세요. 살펴보세요. 어르신 위에 높이 떠 있는 구름을 보세요.	Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou.
6	어르신이 죄짓는다 한들 그분이 밑지실 것 뭐가 있겠습니까? 죄를 많이 짓는다 한들 그분이 아쉬워하실 것 뭐가 있겠습니까?	If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?
7	어르신이 공의롭다 한들 그분께 뭘 드릴 수 있겠습니까? 그분이 어르신 손에서 뭘 받으실 수 있겠습니까?	If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand?
8	어르신의 불의는 어르신 같은 사람에게나 미칠 뿐입니다. 어르신의 공의는 인간에게나 미칠 뿐입니다.	Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man.
9	사람들은 너무 억눌려서 부르짖고, 힘 있는 자들의 팔 때문에 도와 달라 외칩니다.	By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.
10	그래도 이렇게 말하지는 않습니다. ‘하나님 곧 나를 만드신 분은 어디에 계실까요? 그분은 밤에 부를 노래를 주시는 분이시지요.	But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;
11	땅의 짐승들보다 뛰어나도록 우리를 가르치시는 분, 하늘의 새들보다 우리를 지혜롭게 하시는 분이시지요.’	Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?
12	거기서 그들이 부르짖어도 그분은 대답하시지 않습니다. 나쁜 사람들의 거만함 때문이지요.	There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.
13	정말, 헛소리는 하나님이 들으시지 않습니다. 샷다이(전능하신 분)께서는 그런 것 살피시지 않지요.	Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
14	어르신이 말씀하셔도 그분을 뵙지는 못하십니다. 소송의 판결은 그분 앞에 있어요. 어르신은 그분을 기다리세요.	Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him.
15	어쨌든, 그분은 노여움에 겨워 벌하시지 않습니다. 어리석은 짓에 그다지 마음 두시지 않지요.	But now, because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not in great extremity:
16	그런데 욥 어르신은 쓸데없이 입을 벌리십니다. 잘 알지도 못하면서 말을 늘어놓고 계시네요.”	Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplieth words without knowledge.
