1	“이보게나, 모든 것을 나의 눈이 보았네. 나의 귀가 듣고 다 알아차렸네.	Lo, mine eye hath seen all this, mine ear hath heard and understood it.
2	그대들이 아는 만큼은 나도 안다네. 내가 그대들보다 뒤지지 않는다네.	What ye know, the same do I know also: I am not inferior unto you.
3	그러나 나는 샷다이(전능하신 분)께 말씀드릴 것이고, 하나님과 다투고 싶다네.	Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God.
4	그렇지만 그대들은 거짓을 가지고서 덧칠하는 사람들이요, 모두 돌팔이 의사들이네.	But ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.
5	그대들이 아예 입 다문다면! 그것이 그대들에게 지혜로움일 텐데!	O that ye would altogether hold your peace! and it should be your wisdom.
6	그대들은 내가 맞받아치는 말을 들어 보고, 내 입술로 다투는 말을 주의 깊게 들어 보게!	Hear now my reasoning, and hearken to the pleadings of my lips.
7	그대들은 하나님을 위해 나쁜 말을 하고, 그분을 위해 속이는 말을 하려 하는가?	Will ye speak wickedly for God? and talk deceitfully for him?
8	그분의 얼굴을 세워 드리려 하는가? 하나님을 위해 다투려 하는가?	Will ye accept his person? will ye contend for God?
9	그분이 그대들을 살펴보시면 좋겠는가? 그대들이 사람을 속이듯 그분을 속이려고 하는가?	Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, do ye so mock him?
10	그분이 그대들을 호되게 꾸짖으실 것이네. 그대들이 몰래 사람들의 얼굴을 세워 주려 한다면 말이네.	He will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly accept persons.
11	그분의 높음이 그대들을 겁주지 않는가? 그분을 무서워하는 마음이 그대들에게 생기지 않는가?	Shall not his excellency make you afraid? and his dread fall upon you?
12	그대들이 쏟아 내는 것은 먼지에 써 놓은 격언 같고, 그대들의 대답은 진흙 방패 같네.	Your remembrances are like unto ashes, your bodies to bodies of clay.
13	내 앞에서 입들 다물게! 나도 말하고 싶네. 무슨 일이 나에게 닥쳐도 괜찮아.	Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak, and let come on me what will.
14	내가 무엇 때문에 내 살을 내 이빨로 물어뜯고, 내 목숨을 내 손에 두겠는가?	Wherefore do I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in mine hand?
15	아, 그분이 나를 죽이려 하시더라도 나는 그분을 기다리겠네. 다만 내가 걸어온 길을 그분 앞에 떳떳이 내세울 것이네.	Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.
16	이것 또한 나에게는 도움이 될 것이네. 하나님을 멀리하는 사람은 하나님 앞에 나서지 못할 것이거든.	He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him.
17	그대들은 내가 하는 말을 잘 들어 보고, 내가 밝혀 이르는 말에 귀 기울여 보게!	Hear diligently my speech, and my declaration with your ears.
18	이보게들, 나는 내 사정을 밝혔네. 내가 알기로 나야말로 정의롭다네.	Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified.
19	그 누가 나하고 다투어서, 이제 내가 입 닫고 내 숨이 끊어지게 할 텐가?”	Who is he that will plead with me? for now, if I hold my tongue, I shall give up the ghost.
20	“다만 두 가지는 주님이 저에게 하지 말아 주시기 바랍니다. 그러면 주님 앞에서 제가 몸을 숨기지 않겠습니다.	Only do not two things unto me: then will I not hide myself from thee.
21	주님의 손을 제게서 멀리 떼시고, 제가 주님을 무서워하면서 겁먹지 않게 해 주시기 바랍니다!	Withdraw thine hand far from me: and let not thy dread make me afraid.
22	불러 주십시오! 그러면 바로 제가 대답하겠습니다! 아니면 제가 말씀드리겠습니다. 저에게 응답해 주십시오!	Then call thou, and I will answer: or let me speak, and answer thou me.
23	얼마나 많은 잘못과 죄가 제게 있는지요? 저의 범죄와 죄를 제가 알게 해 주십시오!	How many are mine iniquities and sins? make me to know my transgression and my sin.
24	왜 주님의 얼굴을 숨기시고, 저를 주님의 원수로 여기십니까?	Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and holdest me for thine enemy?
25	흩날리는 잎사귀를 겁주어 쫓아 버리시고, 마른 지푸라기를 뒤쫓으려 하십니까?	Wilt thou break a leaf driven to and fro? and wilt thou pursue the dry stubble?
26	제가 겪을 쓰라린 일들을 적어 두시고, 제 젊은 때의 죗값을 이제 치르게 하려 하십니까?	For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possess the iniquities of my youth.
27	제 발을 쇠사슬에 묶으시고, 제가 가는 모든 길을 지켜보려 하십니까? 제 발자국에까지 표시해 두려 하십니까?	Thou puttest my feet also in the stocks, and lookest narrowly unto all my paths; thou settest a print upon the heels of my feet.
28	사람은 썩는 듯이 낡아집니다, 옷좀나방이 집어삼킨 옷처럼.”	And he, as a rotten thing, consumeth, as a garment that is moth eaten.
