1	여자와 용 또 큰 징표가 하나 하늘에서 보였습니다. 어떤 여자가 있는데 해를 둘러 입고 있었습니다. 그 여자의 발아래에는 달이 있었고, 그의 머리 위에는 열두 개의 별이 달린 월계관이 있었습니다.	And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
2	여자는 뱃속에 아이를 가졌는데, 소리를 지르고 있습니다. 아이를 낳을 때 밀려오는 고통과 괴로움 때문입니다.	And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
3	또 다른 징표가 하나 하늘에서 보였습니다. 보세요, 큰 용이 있는데, 불타는 듯 붉었습니다. 머리가 일곱 개, 뿔이 열 개 있었습니다. 용의 머리 위에는 일곱 개의 왕관이 있었습니다.	And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4	그 용의 꼬리가 하늘의 별들 3분의 1을 쓸어 모아, 그것들을 땅으로 던졌습니다. 그 용은 막 아이를 낳으려는 여자 앞에 서 있었습니다. 여자가 아이를 낳으면 그 아이를 먹어 버리려는 것이었습니다.	And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
5	마침내 여자가 아들을 낳았습니다, 남자아이를요. 그는 장차 모든 민족을 쇠막대기로 다스릴 목자가 될 아이입니다. 느닷없이 그 아이가 하나님께로, 하나님의 임금자리 곁으로 휙 이끌려 갔습니다.	And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
6	그래서 그 여자는 광야로 달아났습니다. 거기에는 하나님이 그 여자를 위해 마련해 놓으신 곳이 있습니다. 거기서 그 여자가 1,260일 동안 돌봄을 받도록 말입니다.	And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
7	그때, 하늘에서 전쟁이 일어났습니다. 미카엘과 그의 부하 천사들이 용하고 전쟁을 벌였습니다. 용도 전쟁에 나섰고, 그의 부하들도 함께했습니다.	And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8	그렇지만 용은 이길 힘이 없었습니다. 그들이 발붙일 자리가 하늘에 더 이상 없었습니다.	And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9	그래서 그 큰 용, 곧 그 옛 뱀은 내던져졌습니다. 마귀라고도 불리고 사탄이라고도 불리는 자, 온 세상을 속여 헤매게 하는 자가 말입니다. 그가 땅으로 내던져졌습니다. 그 용의 부하들도 그 용과 더불어 내던져졌습니다.	And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10	또 내가 들었습니다. 하늘에서 큰 소리가 났습니다. 그 소리가 말했습니다. “이제 이르렀다네, 그 구원과 그 능력이! 우리 하나님의 나라와 하나님의 그리스도의 통치권이! 내던져졌기 때문이지, 우리 형제자매들을 고발하는 자가, 낮이든 밤이든 우리 하나님 앞에서 그들을 고발하는 자가.	And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11	형제자매들 자신도 그자를 이겼다네, 어린양의 피를 힘입어서, 또 자기들이 증언한 말씀을 힘입어서. 그들은 자기들 목숨도 사랑하지 않았다네, 죽기까지.	And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
12	그러므로 즐거워하여라, 하늘아, 또 하늘에 거처를 둔 이들아! 그러나 끝장이다, 땅과 바다는! 그 마귀가 너희들한테 내려갔기 때문이다, 크게 분노해서. 때가 얼마 남지 않은 것을 알았기 때문이다.”	Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
13	또 그 용은 자기가 땅으로 내던져진 것을 깨닫자, 남자아이를 낳은 그 여자를 뒤쫓았습니다.	And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
14	그러나 여자에게는 큰 독수리의 두 날개가 주어졌습니다. 광야로, 자기가 있을 곳으로 날아가도록 말입니다. 거기서 그 여자는 뱀한테서 멀리 떨어져서 한 때와 두 때와 반 때 동안 돌봄을 받게 될 것입니다.	And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
15	그러자 그 뱀이 자기 입에서 그 여자 뒤로 물을 강같이 쏟아 내어, 그 여자를 강물로 휩쓸어 버리려고 했습니다.	And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
16	그러나 땅이 그 여자를 도왔습니다. 땅이 입을 벌려 강물을 싹 마셔 버렸습니다. 그 용이 자기 입에서 쏟아 낸 강물을요.	And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
17	그래서 그 용은 그 여자에 대해 몹시 화가 나서 전쟁을 하려고 나갔습니다. 그 여자의 후손 가운데 남은 사람들, 곧 하나님의 계명들을 지키고 예수님을 증언하는 일에 충실한 사람들하고 전쟁을 하려고 말입니다.	And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
18	그 용은 바닷가 모래 위에 자리를 잡고 섰습니다.	—
