절	새한글성경 (2024)	King James Version
1	백성이 예레미야에게 기도해 달라고 하다 군대의 모든 지휘관이 예레미야에게 다가왔다. 가레아흐의 아들 요하난과 호사야의 아들 여사냐도 다가왔다. 보잘것없는 사람이든 대단한 사람이든 모든 백성도 다가왔다.	Then all the captains of the forces, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and Jezaniah the son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least even unto the greatest, came near,
2	그들이 예레미야 예언자에게 말했다. “우리의 탄원이 예언자님 앞에 이르기 바랍니다. 우리를 위해 여호와 예언자님의 하나님께 기도해 주십시오! 남아 있는 이 모든 사람을 위해서요. 많던 사람들 가운데 우리가 조금밖에 남지 않았기 때문입니다. 예언자님의 눈으로 보시는 것처럼요.	And said unto Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we beseech thee, our supplication be accepted before thee, and pray for us unto the Lord thy God, even for all this remnant; (for we are left but a few of many, as thine eyes do behold us:)
3	그래서 우리에게 여호와 예언자님의 하나님이 우리가 갈 길을 알려 주시도록 기도해 주십시오. 우리가 할 일도 알려 주시도록요.”	That the Lord thy God may shew us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we may do.
4	예레미야 예언자가 그들에게 대답했다. “말씀 잘 들었습니다. 네, 여러분의 말씀대로 여호와 여러분의 하나님께 기도하겠습니다. 여호와께서 여러분에게 대답하시는 말씀이 있으면 무엇이든지 여러분에게 알려 드리겠습니다. 한 마디도 여러분에게 숨기지 않겠습니다.”	Then Jeremiah the prophet said unto them, I have heard you; behold, I will pray unto the Lord your God according to your words; and it shall come to pass, that whatsoever thing the Lord shall answer you, I will declare it unto you; I will keep nothing back from you.
5	그러자 그들도 예레미야에게 말했다. “여호와께서 우리 가운데 참되고 믿을 만한 증인이 되시기 바랍니다. 여호와 예언자님의 하나님이 예언자님을 우리에게 보내어 하신 말씀은 무엇이든지 우리가 반드시 그대로 따르겠습니다.	Then they said to Jeremiah, The Lord be a true and faithful witness between us, if we do not even according to all things for the which the Lord thy God shall send thee to us.
6	좋든 나쁘든 여호와 우리 하나님의 목소리를 우리가 듣겠습니다. 그러려고 우리가 예언자님을 하나님께 보냅니다. 그렇게 들어야 우리에게 좋을 것입니다. 우리가 여호와 우리 하나님의 목소리를 듣겠습니다.”	Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of the Lord our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the Lord our God.
7	이집트로 가면 재난을 당할 것이다 열흘이 지나 일어난 일이다. 여호와의 말씀이 예레미야에게 내려오는 일이 일어났다.	And it came to pass after ten days, that the word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah.
8	예레미야가 가레아흐의 아들 요하난을 불렀다. 그와 함께한 군대의 지휘관들도 불렀다. 보잘것없는 사람이든 대단한 사람이든 모든 백성도 불렀다.	Then called he Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces which were with him, and all the people from the least even to the greatest,
9	그러고는 예레미야가 그들에게 말했다. (예언자) “여러분이 나를 하나님께 보내어 여러분의 탄원을 하나님 앞에 올리게 했는데, 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다.	And said unto them, Thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel, unto whom ye sent me to present your supplication before him;
10	(하나님) ‘너희가 정말 이 땅에 산다면, 내가 너희를 세워 주지 허물어 버리지는 않겠다. 너희를 심어 주지 뽑아 버리지는 않겠다. 내가 너희에게 내린 재난 때문에 마음이 아프기 때문이다.	If ye will still abide in this land, then will I build you, and not pull you down, and I will plant you, and not pluck you up: for I repent me of the evil that I have done unto you.
11	두려워하지 마라, 바빌론 임금 앞에서! 너희가 그의 앞에서 두려워하는구나. 그를 두려워하지 마라! ― 여호와의 말씀입니다. ― 내가 너희와 함께하여 너희를 구원해 줄 것이니. 너희를 그의 손에서부터 건져 내 줄 것이니.	Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are afraid; be not afraid of him, saith the Lord: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.
12	내가 너희에게 자비를 베풀어 주겠다. 그러면 바빌론 임금도 너희를 자비롭게 대할 것이다. 그래서 너희를 고향으로 돌려보내 줄 것이다.’	And I will shew mercies unto you, that he may have mercy upon you, and cause you to return to your own land.
13	(예언자) 그런데 여러분은 ‘우리는 이 땅에서 살지 않겠습니다.’ 하고 말하며 여호와 여러분의 하나님 말씀을 듣지 않습니다.	But if ye say, We will not dwell in this land, neither obey the voice of the Lord your God,
14	또 여러분은 이렇게 말합니다. ‘이집트 땅으로 가겠습니다. 그곳에서는 우리가 전쟁을 겪지 않을 것이고, 뿔나팔 소리도 듣지 않을 것입니다. 양식이 없어 굶주리는 일도 없을 것입니다. 그래서 거기서 우리가 살겠습니다.’	Saying, No; but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger of bread; and there will we dwell:
15	이제, 이러므로 여호와의 말씀을 들으십시오, 유다에 남아 있는 여러분! 전능하신 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) ‘너희가 정말 얼굴을 돌려 이집트로 들어가려는 것이냐? 들어가서 거기서 이주민으로 살려는 것이냐?	And now therefore hear the word of the Lord, ye remnant of Judah; Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; If ye wholly set your faces to enter into Egypt, and go to sojourn there;
16	그렇다면 너희가 두려워하는 칼이 거기 이집트 땅에서 너희를 따라잡을 것이다. 너희가 무서워하는 굶주림이 거기 이집트에서 너희에게 따라붙을 것이다. 그래서 거기서 너희가 죽을 것이다.	Then it shall come to pass, that the sword, which ye feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof ye were afraid, shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there ye shall die.
17	얼굴을 돌려 이집트로 들어가서 거기서 이주민으로 살려는 사람들에게 닥칠 것이 있다. 칼과 굶주림과 돌림병으로 죽는 것이다. 그들 중에는 재난에서 빠져나와 살아남을 사람이 없을 것이다. 그런 재난을 내가 그들에게 닥치게 하겠다.’	So shall it be with all the men that set their faces to go into Egypt to sojourn there; they shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: and none of them shall remain or escape from the evil that I will bring upon them.
18	(예언자) 전능하신 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) ‘나의 분노와 노여움이 예루살렘에 사는 사람들에게 쏟아졌다. 그처럼 나의 분노가 너희에게 쏟아질 것이다, 너희가 이집트로 들어갈 때에! 그래서 너희는 욕설의 대상과 끔찍한 본보기와 저주와 치욕의 대상이 될 것이다. 이곳을 다시는 보지 못할 것이다.’	For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; As mine anger and my fury hath been poured forth upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem; so shall my fury be poured forth upon you, when ye shall enter into Egypt: and ye shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach; and ye shall see this place no more.
19	(예언자) 여호와께서 여러분에게 말씀하셨습니다, 유다 땅에 남아 있는 여러분! (하나님) ‘이집트로 들어가지 마라. 오늘 내가 너희에게 분명히 말해 주었다는 것을 똑똑히 알아 두도록 해라!’	The Lord hath said concerning you, O ye remnant of Judah; Go ye not into Egypt: know certainly that I have admonished you this day.
20	(예언자) 여러분은 스스로를 속여 목숨을 잃게 되었습니다. 여러분이 직접 나를 여호와 여러분의 하나님께 보내면서 말했지요. ‘우리를 위해 여호와 우리 하나님께 기도해 주십시오! 여호와 우리 하나님이 말씀하시는 것은 무엇이든지 그대로 우리에게 알려 주십시오. 그러면 우리가 따르겠습니다.’	For ye dissembled in your hearts, when ye sent me unto the Lord your God, saying, Pray for us unto the Lord our God; and according unto all that the Lord our God shall say, so declare unto us, and we will do it.
21	그래서 내가 여러분에게 오늘 알려 주었습니다. 그런데도 여러분은 듣지 않았습니다, 여호와 여러분의 하나님의 목소리를! 여호와께서 나를 여러분에게 보내어 하신 말씀을 하나도 듣지 않았습니다.	And now I have this day declared it to you; but ye have not obeyed the voice of the Lord your God, nor any thing for the which he hath sent me unto you.
22	그러니 이제 똑똑히 알아 두십시오. 칼과 굶주림과 돌림병으로 여러분이 죽을 것입니다, 이주민으로 살려고 여러분이 들어가고 싶어 하는 곳에서요.”	Now therefore know certainly that ye shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, in the place whither ye desire to go and to sojourn.
