1	예레미야가 이집트로 끌려가다 예레미야가 모든 백성에게 여호와 그들의 하나님의 모든 말씀을 끝까지 일러 주었을 때 일어난 일이다. 그 말씀은 여호와 그들의 하나님이 예레미야를 그들에게 보내어 알리게 하신 것이었다. 이 모든 말씀을 끝까지 일러 주었던 것이다.	And it came to pass, that when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking unto all the people all the words of the Lord their God, for which the Lord their God had sent him to them, even all these words,
2	호사야의 아들 아사랴가 예레미야에게 말했다. 가레아흐의 아들 요하난도 함께했다. 건방진 모든 사람도 함께했다. “당신은 거짓을 말하고 있소. 여호와 우리 하나님이 당신을 보내어 ‘너희는 이집트에 들어가서 이주민으로 살려고 하지 마라.’라고 말하게 하신 것이 아니오.	Then spake Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men, saying unto Jeremiah, Thou speakest falsely: the Lord our God hath not sent thee to say, Go not into Egypt to sojourn there:
3	네리야의 아들 바룩이 당신을 부추겨 우리를 거스르게 하고 있소. 우리를 칼데아 사람들의 손에 넘겨 그들이 우리를 죽이게 하려는 것이오. 또는 우리를 바빌론으로 사로잡아 가게 하려는 것이오.”	But Baruch the son of Neriah setteth thee on against us, for to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they might put us to death, and carry us away captives into Babylon.
4	그러고는 가레아흐의 아들 요하난이 유다 땅에 머무르라고 하신 여호와의 목소리를 듣지 않았다. 군대의 모든 지휘관과 온 백성도 마찬가지였다.	So Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and all the people, obeyed not the voice of the Lord, to dwell in the land of Judah.
5	가레아흐의 아들 요하난과 군대의 모든 지휘관이 유다에 남아 있는 모든 사람을 데려갔다. 이들은 모든 민족 가운데로 내쫓겼다가 거기서 돌아와 유다 땅에 머물러 살려고 한 사람들이었다.	But Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, took all the remnant of Judah, that were returned from all nations, whither they had been driven, to dwell in the land of Judah;
6	요하난 일행은 어른 남자들과 여자들을 데려갔다. 아이들과 임금의 딸들도 데려갔다. 느부사라단 호위대장이 아히감의 아들이자 사반의 손자인 그달랴에게 맡겨 돌보게 한 사람도 모두 데려갔다. 예레미야 예언자와 네리야의 아들 바룩도 데려갔다.	Even men, and women, and children, and the king’s daughters, and every person that Nebuzar–adan the captain of the guard had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet, and Baruch the son of Neriah.
7	요하난 일행은 여호와의 목소리를 듣지 않았다. 이집트 땅에 들어가 다흐반헤스까지 이르렀다.	So they came into the land of Egypt: for they obeyed not the voice of the Lord: thus came they even to Tahpanhes.
8	네부카드네자르가 이집트를 쳐부술 것이다 여호와의 말씀이 예레미야에게 내려오는 일이 일어났다. 다흐반헤스에서였다. 이렇게 말씀하셨다.	Then came the word of the Lord unto Jeremiah in Tahpanhes, saying,
9	(하나님) “너의 손으로 큰 돌들을 집어다가 다흐반헤스에 있는 파라오의 집 출입구 진흙 바닥에 숨겨라. 유다 사람들의 눈앞에서 그렇게 해라.	Take great stones in thine hand, and hide them in the clay in the brickkiln, which is at the entry of Pharaoh’s house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah;
10	그러고는 그들에게 말해 주어라. (예언자) ‘전능하신 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) 「보라, 내가 사람을 보내어 바빌론 임금 네부카드네자르, 나의 종을 데려오겠다. 그래서 그의 임금자리를 이 돌들 위에 마련해 주겠다. 내가 숨겨 두게 했던 돌들이다. 그 위에 호화로운 천막을 쳐 주겠다.	And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will set his throne upon these stones that I have hid; and he shall spread his royal pavilion over them.
11	그러면 그가 와서 이집트 땅을 쳐부술 것이다. 죽일 사람은 죽이고 사로잡을 사람은 사로잡을 것이다. 칼로 벨 사람은 칼로 벨 것이다.	And when he cometh, he shall smite the land of Egypt, and deliver such as are for death to death; and such as are for captivity to captivity; and such as are for the sword to the sword.
12	또 내가 이집트 신들의 집들에는 불을 놓겠다. 그 신들을 태워 버리거나 다른 데로 치워 버리겠다. 네부카드네자르가 이집트 땅을 이를 잡듯이 잡을 것이다. 양치기가 자기 옷에 있는 이를 잡듯이 할 것이다. 그러고는 거기서부터 평안히 나갈 것이다.	And I will kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt; and he shall burn them, and carry them away captives: and he shall array himself with the land of Egypt, as a shepherd putteth on his garment; and he shall go forth from thence in peace.
13	그가 이집트 땅에 있는 헬리오폴리스의 돌기둥 우상들을 깨뜨릴 것이다. 이집트 신들의 집들을 불로 태워 버릴 것이다.」’”	He shall break also the images of Beth–shemesh, that is in the land of Egypt; and the houses of the gods of the Egyptians shall he burn with fire.
