절	새한글성경 (2024)	King James Version
1	바룩이 여호와의 말씀을 기록하다 요시야의 아들 여호야김이 유다 임금이던 넷째 해에 일어난 일이다. 이 말씀이 여호와께로부터 예레미야에게 내려오는 일이 일어난 것이다.	And it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that this word came unto Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,
2	(하나님) “너는 두루마리 하나를 가져다가 거기에 적어 넣어라. 내가 이스라엘과 유다와 모든 민족들을 두고 요시야 때에 너에게 말한 날로부터 오늘까지 너에게 한 모든 말을!	Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day.
3	어쩌면 유다 집안이, 내가 그들에게 내리려고 하는 온갖 재난 이야기를 들을지도 모른다. 그러고는 저마다 자기의 나쁜 길에서 돌아설지도 모른다. 그러면 내가 그들의 잘못과 죄를 용서하겠다.”	It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.
4	그래서 예레미야가 네리야의 아들 바룩을 불렀다. 바룩은 예레미야의 입에서 나오는 대로 여호와의 모든 말씀을 두루마리에 받아 적었다. 여호와께서 예레미야에게 하신 말씀이었다.	Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the Lord, which he had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book.
5	예레미야가 바룩에게 명령했다. “나는 자유롭지 못해서 여호와의 집에 들어갈 수 없어요.	And Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, I am shut up; I cannot go into the house of the Lord:
6	그러니 그대가 직접 가서 소리 내어 읽어 주도록 하세요. 나의 입에서 나오는 대로 두루마리에 받아 적은 여호와의 말씀을요. 금식하는 날에 백성의 귀에 들리도록 여호와의 집에서요. 또한 다른 도시들에서 온 유다 사람들의 귀에 들리도록 소리 내어 읽어 주세요.	Therefore go thou, and read in the roll, which thou hast written from my mouth, the words of the Lord in the ears of the people in the Lord’s house upon the fasting day: and also thou shalt read them in the ears of all Judah that come out of their cities.
7	어쩌면 그들의 탄원이 여호와 앞에 이르게 될지 몰라요. 그들이 저마다 자기의 악한 길에서 돌아설지도 몰라요. 여호와께서 이 백성을 향해 품고 있다고 말씀하신 분노와 노여움이 크기 때문입니다.”	It may be they will present their supplication before the Lord, and will return every one from his evil way: for great is the anger and the fury that the Lord hath pronounced against this people.
8	네리야의 아들 바룩은 예레미야 예언자가 명령한 모든 것을 그대로 실행했다. 두루마리에 들어 있는 여호와의 말씀을 여호와의 집에서 소리 내어 읽어 준 것이다.	And Baruch the son of Neriah did according to all that Jeremiah the prophet commanded him, reading in the book the words of the Lord in the Lord’s house.
9	요시야의 아들 여호야김이 유다 임금이던 다섯째 해 아홉째 달에 일어난 일이다. 여호와 앞에서 금식하기로 온 백성이 예루살렘에서 선포했다. 유다의 도시들에서 예루살렘에 들어오는 백성 모두가 금식하기로 한 것이다.	And it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, in the ninth month, that they proclaimed a fast before the Lord to all the people in Jerusalem, and to all the people that came from the cities of Judah unto Jerusalem.
10	바룩은 두루마리에 들어 있는 예레미야의 말을 여호와의 집에서 소리 내어 읽어 주었다. 사반의 아들 그마랴 서기관의 방에서였다. 그 방은 여호와의 집 새 문 출입구 위뜰에 있었다. 온 백성의 귀에 들리도록 읽어 주었다.	Then read Baruch in the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of the Lord, in the chamber of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the scribe, in the higher court, at the entry of the new gate of the Lord’s house, in the ears of all the people.
11	두루마리에 적힌 말씀을 왕궁 관리들이 듣다 두루마리에 적힌 여호와의 모든 말씀을 미가여후가 들었다. 그는 그마랴의 아들이자 사반의 손자였다.	When Michaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard out of the book all the words of the Lord,
12	그가 왕궁으로 내려가서 서기관의 방으로 들어갔다. 마침 거기에 모든 고위 관리들이 앉아 있는 것이 아닌가! 엘리사마 서기관, 스마야의 아들 들라야, 악볼의 아들 엘나단, 사반의 아들 그마랴, 하나냐의 아들 시드기야, 그 밖의 모든 고위 관리들이 있었다.	Then he went down into the king’s house, into the scribe’s chamber: and, lo, all the princes sat there, even Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes.
13	미가여후는 그들에게 자신이 들었던 모든 말씀을 알려 주었다. 두루마리의 말씀을 바룩이 백성의 귀에 들리도록 소리 내어 읽어 주었을 때 들었던 말이었다.	Then Michaiah declared unto them all the words that he had heard, when Baruch read the book in the ears of the people.
14	그러자 모든 고위 관리가 여후디를 바룩에게 보내어 말했다. 여후디는 느다냐의 아들이자 셀레먀의 손자이자 구시의 증손자였다. “그대가 백성의 귀에 들리도록 소리 내어 읽어 준 말씀이 들어 있는 두루마리를 손에 들고 오시오!” 네리야의 아들 바룩이 두루마리를 손에 들고 그들에게 왔다.	Therefore all the princes sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, unto Baruch, saying, Take in thine hand the roll wherein thou hast read in the ears of the people, and come. So Baruch the son of Neriah took the roll in his hand, and came unto them.
15	그들이 바룩에게 말했다. “이리로 앉아서, 우리 귀에 들리도록 두루마리의 말씀을 소리 내어 읽어 주시오.” 그래서 바룩이 그들의 귀에 들리도록 소리 내어 읽어 주었다.	And they said unto him, Sit down now, and read it in our ears. So Baruch read it in their ears.
16	그 모든 말씀을 듣고서, 그들은 무서워하며 서로 쳐다보았다. 그러고는 바룩에게 말했다. “우리가 반드시 임금님에게 알려 드려야겠습니다, 이 모든 말씀을요!”	Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were afraid both one and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words.
17	그리고 바룩에게는 그들이 이렇게 부탁했다. “우리에게 이야기해 보시오, 그대가 어떻게 이 모든 말씀을 예레미야의 입에서 나오는 대로 받아 적었는지!”	And they asked Baruch, saying, Tell us now, How didst thou write all these words at his mouth?
18	바룩이 그들에게 대답했다. “그가 입으로 나에게 이 모든 말씀을 불러 주었고, 내가 먹으로 두루마리에 적었습니다.”	Then Baruch answered them, He pronounced all these words unto me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ink in the book.
19	그러자 그 관리들이 바룩에게 말했다. “그대는 가서 숨으시오. 예레미야도 그리하시오. 두 분이 어디 계시는지 누구도 알지 못하게 하시오.”	Then said the princes unto Baruch, Go, hide thee, thou and Jeremiah; and let no man know where ye be.
20	여호야김이 두루마리를 불태우다 고위 관리들은 뜰에 있는 임금에게 갔다. 두루마리는 엘리사마 서기관의 방에 보관해 두었다. 그들은 임금의 귀에 들리도록 그 모든 말씀을 알려 주었다.	And they went in to the king into the court, but they laid up the roll in the chamber of Elishama the scribe, and told all the words in the ears of the king.
21	그러자 임금은 여후디를 보내 두루마리를 가져오게 했고, 여후디는 엘리사마 서기관의 방에서 두루마리를 가져왔다. 그리고 여후디는 두루마리의 말씀을 임금과 임금 곁에 서 있던 모든 고위 관리의 귀에 들리도록 소리 내어 읽어 주었다.	So the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took it out of Elishama the scribe’s chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the princes which stood beside the king.
22	그때 임금은 겨울 궁전에 머무르고 있었다. 아홉째 달이었다. 임금 앞의 화로에는 불을 피워 놓았다.	Now the king sat in the winterhouse in the ninth month: and there was a fire on the hearth burning before him.
23	여후디가 두루마리의 말씀을 서너 단씩 읽을 때마다, 임금이 서기관의 칼로 두루마리를 잘라 화롯불에 던져 넣었다. 마침내 두루마리 전부가 화롯불에 타 완전히 없어져 버렸다.	And it came to pass, that when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the fire that was on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that was on the hearth.
24	그런데 아무도 무서워하거나 옷을 찢지 않았다. 이 모든 말씀을 들은 임금도 그의 모든 신하도 그랬다.	Yet they were not afraid, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words.
25	심지어 엘나단과 들라야와 그마랴가 임금에게 두루마리를 불태우지 말라고 간청했는데도, 임금은 그들의 말을 듣지 않았다.	Nevertheless Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah had made intercession to the king that he would not burn the roll: but he would not hear them.
26	임금은 여라흐므엘 왕자와 아스리엘의 아들 스라야와 압드엘의 아들 셀레먀에게 명령했다. 바룩 서기관과 예레미야 예언자를 붙잡아 오라고 한 것이다. 그렇지만 여호와께서 그 두 사람을 숨겨 주셨다.	But the king commanded Jerahmeel the son of Hammelech, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet: but the Lord hid them.
27	여호야김에게 재난이 닥칠 것이다 여호와의 말씀이 예레미야에게 내려오는 일이 일어났다. 임금이 두루마리 곧 예레미야의 입에서 나오는 대로 바룩이 받아 적은 말씀들을 불태운 뒤였다.	Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, after that the king had burned the roll, and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying,
28	(하나님) “너는 다시 다른 두루마리를 가져다가 거기에 적어 넣어라, 처음 두루마리에 있었던 처음 말씀을 모두! 처음 두루마리는 유다 임금 여호야김이 불태웠다.	Take thee again another roll, and write in it all the former words that were in the first roll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah hath burned.
29	유다 임금 여호야김에게 말해 주어라. (예언자) ‘여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) 「네가 직접 이 두루마리를 불태웠다, 예언자가 두루마리에 왜 이런 말을 적어 넣었느냐고 하면서. 바빌론 임금이 반드시 와서 이 땅을 망가뜨릴 것이고, 이 땅에서 사람과 짐승을 사라지게 할 것이라는 말을 적어 넣었느냐고 하면서.」	And thou shalt say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, Thus saith the Lord; Thou hast burned this roll, saying, Why hast thou written therein, saying, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from thence man and beast?
30	(예언자) 이러므로 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. 유다 임금 여호야김을 두고 말씀하신 것입니다. (하나님) 「그의 후손으로는 다윗의 임금자리에 앉을 사람이 생기지 않을 것이다. 그의 시체를 사람들이 내던져 버릴 것이다. 그러면 그 시체가 낮에는 열기에 시달리고 밤에는 서리를 맞을 것이다.	Therefore thus saith the Lord of Jehoiakim king of Judah; He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost.
31	내가 그와 그의 후손과 신하들에게 그들의 잘못 때문에 벌을 내리겠다. 그들과 예루살렘에 사는 사람들과 유다 사람 각각에게 온갖 재난이 닥치게 하겠다. 그렇게 하겠다고 내가 그들에게 말했지만, 그들은 나의 말을 듣지 않았다.」’”	And I will punish him and his seed and his servants for their iniquity; and I will bring upon them, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and upon the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them; but they hearkened not.
32	그래서 예레미야가 다른 두루마리를 가져다가 네리야의 아들 바룩 서기관에게 주었다. 바룩은 예레미야의 입에서 나오는 대로 모든 말씀을 거기에 적어 넣었다. 유다 임금 여호야김이 불태운 두루마리에 적어 두었던 말씀들이다. 다시 그 말씀들에다가 그와 같은 말씀이 많이 덧붙었다.	Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words.
