절	새한글성경 (2024)	King James Version
1	예루살렘이 쑥대밭이 될 것이다 요시야의 아들 여호야김이 유다 임금으로 다스리기 시작할 무렵이었다. 여호와께로부터 이 말씀이 내려오는 일이 일어났다.	In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word from the Lord, saying,
2	여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다. (하나님) “너는 여호와의 집 뜰에 서 있어라. 그러고는 여호와의 집에 예배하러 오는 유다 모든 도시 사람들에게 말해 주어라. 그들에게 말해 주라고 내가 너에게 명령한 말을 모두 전해 주어라. 한 마디도 빠뜨리지 마라.	Thus saith the Lord; Stand in the court of the Lord’s house, and speak unto all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the Lord’s house, all the words that I command thee to speak unto them; diminish not a word:
3	어쩌면 그들이 듣고 저마다 자신의 나쁜 길에서 돌아설지도 모른다. 그러면 그들의 행동이 악하기 때문에 내가 그들에게 재난을 내리려고 한 뜻을 바꾸겠다.	If so be they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that I may repent me of the evil, which I purpose to do unto them because of the evil of their doings.
4	너는 그들에게 말해 주어라. (예언자) ‘여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) 「너희가 나의 말을 듣지 않고, 내가 너희 앞에 둔 가르침을 받들어 살아가지 않는다고 하자.	And thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord; If ye will not hearken to me, to walk in my law, which I have set before you,
5	너희가 나의 종들인 예언자들의 말을 따르지 않는다고 하자. 그들은 내가 너희에게 보낸 사람들, 거듭거듭 보낸 사람들이다. 그런데 너희는 그들의 말을 따르지 않았다.	To hearken to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I sent unto you, both rising up early, and sending them, but ye have not hearkened;
6	그렇게 계속 따르지 않으면 내가 이 집을 실로처럼 되게 하겠다. 이 도시를 땅의 모든 민족에게 저주의 대상이 되게 하겠다.」’”	Then will I make this house like Shiloh, and will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth.
7	제사장들과 예언자들과 온 백성이 예레미야의 말을 들었다. 예레미야가 이런 말씀을 여호와의 집에서 전하고 있었던 것이다.	So the priests and the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of the Lord.
8	온 백성에게 말하라고 여호와께서 예레미야에게 명령하신 것을 그가 다 말했다. 그러자 제사장들과 예언자들과 모든 백성이 그를 붙잡고는 말했다. “당신은 반드시 죽게 될 것이오.	Now it came to pass, when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking all that the Lord had commanded him to speak unto all the people, that the priests and the prophets and all the people took him, saying, Thou shalt surely die.
9	왜 당신은 여호와의 이름으로 이렇게 예언하는 것이오, 이 집이 실로처럼 될 것이라고, 이 도시가 쑥대밭이 되어서 거기 살 사람이 하나도 없게 될 것이라고?” 그러고는 온 백성이 예레미야에게로 모여들었다. 여호와의 집 안에서였다.	Why hast thou prophesied in the name of the Lord, saying, This house shall be like Shiloh, and this city shall be desolate without an inhabitant? And all the people were gathered against Jeremiah in the house of the Lord.
10	이런 말을 유다의 고위 관리들이 듣고서, 왕궁에서 여호와의 집으로 올라왔다. 그들이 여호와의 집 새 문 입구에 자리를 잡고 앉았다.	When the princes of Judah heard these things, then they came up from the king’s house unto the house of the Lord, and sat down in the entry of the new gate of the Lord’s house.
11	제사장들과 예언자들이 고위 관리들과 온 백성에게 말했다. “이 사람한테는 사형 판결을 내려야 합니다! 이 도시에 좋지 않게 예언했으니까요. 여러분의 귀로 들으신 것처럼요.”	Then spake the priests and the prophets unto the princes and to all the people, saying, This man is worthy to die; for he hath prophesied against this city, as ye have heard with your ears.
12	그러자 예레미야가 모든 고위 관리와 온 백성에게 말했다. (예언자) “여호와께서 나를 보내셨습니다. 이 집과 이 도시에 좋지 않게 예언하라고요. 여러분이 들은 모든 말씀으로 예언하라고요.	Then spake Jeremiah unto all the princes and to all the people, saying, The Lord sent me to prophesy against this house and against this city all the words that ye have heard.
13	이제 여러분은 여러분의 생활 방식과 행동을 개선하십시오! 잘 들으십시오, 여호와 여러분의 하나님의 목소리를! 그러면 여호와께서 여러분에게 재난을 내리기로 하신 뜻을 거두어들이실 것입니다.	Therefore now amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the Lord your God; and the Lord will repent him of the evil that he hath pronounced against you.
14	나는, 보세요, 여기 여러분 손안에 있습니다. 나한테는 여러분 보기에 좋고 바른 대로 하세요.	As for me, behold, I am in your hand: do with me as seemeth good and meet unto you.
15	다만 확실히 알아 두세요. 여러분이 나를 사형에 처한다면, 여러분은 죄 없는 사람의 피를 여러분 자신에게로 흐르게 하는 것입니다. 또 이 도시와 이 도시에 사는 사람들에게로 흐르게 하는 것입니다. 정말로 여호와께서 나를 여러분에게 보내셨습니다. 여러분 귀에 이 모든 말이 들어가도록 말하게 하신 것입니다.”	But know ye for certain, that if ye put me to death, ye shall surely bring innocent blood upon yourselves, and upon this city, and upon the inhabitants thereof: for of a truth the Lord hath sent me unto you to speak all these words in your ears.
16	그러자 고위 관리들과 온 백성이 제사장들과 예언자들에게 말했다. “이 사람에게는 사형 판결을 내릴 수 없습니다. 여호와 우리 하나님의 이름으로 우리에게 말했으니까요.”	Then said the princes and all the people unto the priests and to the prophets; This man is not worthy to die: for he hath spoken to us in the name of the Lord our God.
17	그 땅의 원로 가운데서 몇 사람이 일어났다. 그러고는 거기 모인 백성의 무리 전체에게 말했다.	Then rose up certain of the elders of the land, and spake to all the assembly of the people, saying,
18	(원로) “모레셋 사람 미가가 예언한 일이 있었습니다. 유다 임금 히스기야 때였지요. 미가가 유다 백성 모두에게 말해 주었습니다. (예언자) ‘전능하신 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) 「시온을 사람들이 밭처럼 갈아엎을 것이다. 예루살렘이 쑥대밭이 될 것이다. 성전 산이 수풀 우거진 높은 곳이 될 것이다.」’	Micah the Morasthite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and spake to all the people of Judah, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.
19	(원로) 유다 임금 히스기야와 유다 전체가 미가를 실제로 사형에 처했던가요? 히스기야가 여호와를 두려워하여 여호와의 노여움을 누그러뜨리려고 하지 않았던가요? 그래서 여호와께서 그들에게 재난을 내리기로 하신 뜻을 거두어들이셨지요. 우리는 큰 재난을 우리 스스로에게 불러들이려 하고 있습니다.”	Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? did he not fear the Lord, and besought the Lord, and the Lord repented him of the evil which he had pronounced against them? Thus might we procure great evil against our souls.
20	예언자 우리야의 죽음 그때 또 한 사람이 여호와의 이름으로 예언하고 있었다. 스마야의 아들 우리야인데 기럇여아림 출신이었다. 우리야는 이 도시와 이 땅에 좋지 않게 예언했다. 예레미야의 말 꼭 그대로였다.	And there was also a man that prophesied in the name of the Lord, Urijah the son of Shemaiah of Kirjath–jearim, who prophesied against this city and against this land according to all the words of Jeremiah:
21	여호야김 임금과 그의 용사들과 고위 관리들이 모두 우리야의 말을 들었다. 그런데 임금은 그를 죽이려고 했다. 우리야가 그 소식을 듣고 두려워하여, 달아나서 이집트로 갔다.	And when Jehoiakim the king, with all his mighty men, and all the princes, heard his words, the king sought to put him to death: but when Urijah heard it, he was afraid, and fled, and went into Egypt;
22	그러자 여호야김 임금이 사람들을 이집트로 보냈다. 악볼의 아들 엘나단과 그와 함께한 사람들을 이집트로 보냈다.	And Jehoiakim the king sent men into Egypt, namely, Elnathan the son of Achbor, and certain men with him into Egypt.
23	그들이 우리야를 이집트에서 데리고 나와서, 여호야김 임금에게 데려갔다. 임금은 그를 칼로 죽여 그의 시체를 평민 묘지에 던져 버렸다.	And they fetched forth Urijah out of Egypt, and brought him unto Jehoiakim the king; who slew him with the sword, and cast his dead body into the graves of the common people.
24	그렇지만 사반의 아들 아히감이 손을 써서 예레미야는 지켜 주었다. 백성이 예레미야를 죽이도록 그들의 손에 넘겨주지 않았다.	Nevertheless the hand of Ahikam the son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah, that they should not give him into the hand of the people to put him to death.
