1	시드기야가 사로잡혀 가다 시드기야 임금 아홉째 해 열째 달 열째 날에 일어난 일이다. 바빌론 임금 네부카드네자르가 자신의 군대를 모두 거느리고 예루살렘으로 쳐들어왔다. 네부카드네자르는 예루살렘을 마주하여 진을 쳤다. 그들은 예루살렘을 빙 둘러 가며 포위 성벽을 쌓았다.	And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he, and all his host, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it; and they built forts against it round about.
2	도시가 에워싸인 채로 시드기야 임금 열한째 해까지 이르렀다.	And the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.
3	그달 아홉째 날이었다. 굶주림이 도시 안에 심했다. 그 땅의 백성에게는 먹을 것이 없었다.	And on the ninth day of the fourth month the famine prevailed in the city, and there was no bread for the people of the land.
4	도시가 뚫렸고, 모든 군인이 밤에 임금의 동산 곁 두 성벽 사이의 성문 길로 달아났다. 칼데아 사람들이 도시를 빙 둘러싸고 있었는데도 말이다. 시드기야는 아라바 길로 갔다.	And the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between two walls, which is by the king’s garden: (now the Chaldees were against the city round about:) and the king went the way toward the plain.
5	칼데아 군대가 임금을 뒤쫓아 갔고, 그를 여리고 들판에서 따라잡았다. 그의 군대는 모두 그를 떠나 흩어져 버렸다.	And the army of the Chaldees pursued after the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho: and all his army were scattered from him.
6	칼데아 군대가 임금을 붙잡아 바빌론 임금에게로 데리고 올라갔다. 리블라로 간 것이다. 그들은 시드기야에게 판결을 내렸다.	So they took the king, and brought him up to the king of Babylon to Riblah; and they gave judgment upon him.
7	그러고는 그들이 시드기야의 아들들을 그의 눈앞에서 도살했다. 또 시드기야의 두 눈을 멀게 하고, 그를 놋사슬로 묶어서 바빌론으로 데려갔다. ()	And they slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him with fetters of brass, and carried him to Babylon.
8	예루살렘이 무너지다 바빌론 임금인 네부카드네자르 임금 열아홉째 해 다섯째 달 일곱째 날이었다. 바빌론 임금의 신하 느부사라단 호위대장이 예루살렘으로 왔다.	And in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, which is the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzar–adan, captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem:
9	그는 여호와의 집과 임금의 집을 불태웠고, 예루살렘의 모든 민가와 큰 집을 모조리 불로 태웠다.	And he burnt the house of the Lord, and the king’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem, and every great man’s house burnt he with fire.
10	예루살렘을 빙 둘러 가며 성벽들을 무너뜨린 것은 호위대장이 거느린 칼데아 온 군대였다.	And all the army of the Chaldees, that were with the captain of the guard, brake down the walls of Jerusalem round about.
11	백성 가운데 남은 사람들 곧 도시 안에 남아 있던 사람들을 느부사라단 호위대장이 사로잡아 갔다. 또 바빌론 임금에게로 넘어온 사람들도, 무리 가운데 남은 사람들도 사로잡아 갔다.	Now the rest of the people that were left in the city, and the fugitives that fell away to the king of Babylon, with the remnant of the multitude, did Nebuzar–adan the captain of the guard carry away.
12	그러나 그 땅의 보잘것없는 사람들 얼마를 호위대장이 남겨 두었다. 포도 재배자들과 농사꾼들이 되게 하려 한 것이다.	But the captain of the guard left of the poor of the land to be vinedressers and husbandmen.
13	여호와의 집에 있던 놋기둥들을 칼데아 사람들이 깨부수었다. 여호와의 집에 있던 받침대들과 놋바다도 깨부수었다. 그 놋을 바빌론으로 가져갔다.	And the pillars of brass that were in the house of the Lord, and the bases, and the brasen sea that was in the house of the Lord, did the Chaldees break in pieces, and carried the brass of them to Babylon.
14	그들이 가져간 것으로는 또 재 담는 통들과 부삽들과 등불 심지 자르는 가위들이 있었다. 향 접시들도 있었다. 그 집에서 섬길 때 쓰는 온갖 놋기구도 있었다.	And the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.
15	금이나 은으로 된 것은 모두 호위대장이 가져갔다. 그런 것으로는 불 옮겨 나르는 통들과 대접들이 있었다.	And the firepans, and the bowls, and such things as were of gold, in gold, and of silver, in silver, the captain of the guard took away.
16	기둥 둘과 바다 하나와 받침대들은 솔로몬이 여호와의 집을 위해 만든 것들이었다. 이 모든 기구의 놋은 엄청나서 그 무게를 달아 볼 수 없었다.	The two pillars, one sea, and the bases which Solomon had made for the house of the Lord; the brass of all these vessels was without weight.
17	기둥 하나의 높이가 9미터였고, 그 위에 놋으로 만든 기둥머리가 있었다. 기둥머리의 높이는 1.5미터였다. 엮어 만든 망과 석류들이 그 기둥머리를 빙 둘러 가며 있었다. 그 모두가 놋이었다. 이와 같은 것들이 둘째 기둥에 있었다. 엮어 만든 망으로 꾸며져 있었다. ()	The height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits, and the chapiter upon it was brass: and the height of the chapiter three cubits; and the wreathen work, and pomegranates upon the chapiter round about, all of brass: and like unto these had the second pillar with wreathen work.
18	유다 사람들이 사로잡혀 가다 호위대장은 스라야 대제사장, 스바냐 부제사장, 세 명의 성전 문지기를 붙잡았다.	And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door:
19	도시에서부터는 군인들을 감독하던 왕궁 관리 한 명과 도시 안에서 마주친 임금의 수행원 다섯 명을 붙잡았다. 또 그 땅의 백성을 군대로 불러 모으는 군 지휘관의 서기관도 잡았고, 도시 안에서 마주친 그 땅의 백성 60명도 잡았다.	And out of the city he took an officer that was set over the men of war, and five men of them that were in the king’s presence, which were found in the city, and the principal scribe of the host, which mustered the people of the land, and threescore men of the people of the land that were found in the city:
20	느부사라단 호위대장이 그들을 붙잡아서, 리블라에 있던 바빌론 임금에게 데려갔다.	And Nebuzar–adan captain of the guard took these, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah:
21	바빌론 임금은 하맛 땅의 리블라에서 그들을 쳐 죽였다. 그러고는 유다 사람들을 그들의 땅에서 사로잡아 갔다. (; )	And the king of Babylon smote them, and slew them at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away out of their land.
22	그달랴가 유다의 지도자가 되다 유다 땅에 남아 있는 백성이 있었다. 바빌론 임금 네부카드네자르가 남겨 둔 백성이었다. 네부카드네자르는 그들을 맡아 돌보도록 그달랴를 임명했다. 그는 아히감의 아들이자 사반의 손자였다.	And as for the people that remained in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left, even over them he made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, ruler.
23	군대의 모든 지휘관이 그의 부하들과 함께 소식을 들었다. 바빌론 임금이 그달랴를 임명했다는 것이다. 그래서 그달랴를 만나러 미스바로 온 지휘관으로는 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 있었다. 가레아흐의 아들 요하난도 있었다. 느도바 사람 단후멧의 아들 스라야도 있었다. 마아가 사람의 아들 야아사냐도 있었다. 이들이 자신의 부하들과 함께 왔다.	And when all the captains of the armies, they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah governor, there came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan the son of Careah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, and Jaazaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men.
24	그달랴가 그들과 그들의 부하들에게 맹세했다. 그러면서 그들에게 말했다. “칼데아 관리들을 두려워하지 마세요. 이 땅에 살면서 바빌론 임금을 섬기세요. 그렇게 하는 것이 여러분에게 좋을 것입니다.”	And Gedaliah sware to them, and to their men, and said unto them, Fear not to be the servants of the Chaldees: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon; and it shall be well with you.
25	그러나 일곱째 달에 임금 집안의 후손인 이스마엘 곧 느다냐의 아들이자 엘리사마의 손자가 아랫사람 열 명을 거느리고 와서 그달랴를 쳐서 죽였다. 그와 함께 미스바에 있던 유다 사람들과 칼데아 사람들도 죽였다.	But it came to pass in the seventh month, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the seed royal, came, and ten men with him, and smote Gedaliah, that he died, and the Jews and the Chaldees that were with him at Mizpah.
26	그러자 어린아이부터 나이 든 사람까지 온 백성과 군대 지휘관들이 일어나 이집트로 갔다. 칼데아 사람들이 두려웠던 것이다. ()	And all the people, both small and great, and the captains of the armies, arose, and came to Egypt: for they were afraid of the Chaldees.
27	여호야긴이 감옥에서 나오다 유다 임금 여호야긴이 사로잡혀 간 지 37년째 되는 해 열두째 달 스물일곱째 날에 일어난 일이다. 바빌론 임금 에윌므로닥이 임금이 된 해였다. 그는 유다 임금 여호야긴의 머리를 들게 하여 특별히 사면했고 감옥에서 빼내 주었다.	And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, that Evil–merodach king of Babylon in the year that he began to reign did lift up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison;
28	그러고는 친절하게 그와 이야기를 나누었다. 그의 자리를 바빌론에 그와 함께 있는 다른 임금들의 자리보다 더 위쪽에 마련해 주었다.	And he spake kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon;
29	그래서 여호야긴은 죄수의 옷을 벗었고, 사는 날 동안 늘 에윌므로닥 앞에서 음식을 먹었다.	And changed his prison garments: and he did eat bread continually before him all the days of his life.
30	그가 먹을 것은 그날그날 필요한 만큼 임금한테서 계속 받았다. 그가 사는 날 동안 늘 그랬다.	And his allowance was a continual allowance given him of the king, a daily rate for every day, all the days of his life.
