1	아사랴가 유다 임금이 되다 이스라엘 임금 여로보암 스물일곱째 해에, 유다 임금 아마샤의 아들 아사랴가 임금이 되었다.	In the twenty and seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign.
2	그가 임금이 되었을 때 16세였다. 52년 동안 예루살렘에서 다스렸다. 그의 어머니 이름은 여골랴이고 예루살렘 사람이었다.	Sixteen years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned two and fifty years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem.
3	그는 여호와께서 보시기에 올곧은 일을 했다. 자기 아버지 아마샤가 했던 대로 다 한 것이다.	And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Amaziah had done;
4	다만 높은곳(산당)들은 없애지 않았다. 아직도 백성은 높은곳(산당)들에서 제물을 바치며 향을 피워 바치고 있었다.	Save that the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burnt incense still on the high places.
5	여호와는 임금을 치셨다. 그래서 그는 죽는 날까지 심한피부병에 걸려 있었고 따로 떨어진 집에서 살았다. 요담 왕자가 왕궁 일을 보면서 나라의 백성을 다스렸다.	And the Lord smote the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the king’s son was over the house, judging the people of the land.
6	아사랴에 관한 나머지 일과 그가 했던 모든 일은 유다 임금들의 역사일지에 적혀 있지 않은가?	And the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
7	아사랴가 자기 조상들과 함께 누웠고, 사람들이 그를 다윗의 도시에 그의 조상들과 함께 묻었다. 그의 아들 요담이 그를 이어 임금이 되었다.	So Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.
8	스가랴가 이스라엘 임금이 되다 유다 임금 아사랴 서른여덟째 해에, 여로보암의 아들 스가랴가 이스라엘의 임금이 되었다. 사마리아에서 6개월 동안 다스렸다.	In the thirty and eighth year of Azariah king of Judah did Zachariah the son of Jeroboam reign over Israel in Samaria six months.
9	그는 자기 조상들이 했던 대로 여호와께서 보시기에 나쁜 짓을 저질렀다. 이스라엘을 죄짓게 했던 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄에서 떠나지 않았다.	And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
10	야베스의 아들 살룸이 그를 두고 일을 꾸몄다. 그러더니 백성 앞에서 그를 쳐서 죽이고 그를 이어 임금이 되었다.	And Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him, and smote him before the people, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.
11	보아라, 스가랴에 관한 나머지 일은 이스라엘 임금들의 역사일지에 적혀 있지 않은가?	And the rest of the acts of Zachariah, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
12	이렇게 해서 여호와께서 예후에게 말씀하신 대로 되었다. “너의 자손 4대가 이스라엘의 임금자리에 앉을 것이다.” 하셨고, 그렇게 된 것이다.	This was the word of the Lord which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons shall sit on the throne of Israel unto the fourth generation. And so it came to pass.
13	살룸이 이스라엘 임금이 되다 야베스의 아들 살룸은 유다 임금 웃시야 서른아홉째 해에 임금이 되었다. 사마리아에서 한 달을 다스렸다.	Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the nine and thirtieth year of Uzziah king of Judah; and he reigned a full month in Samaria.
14	가디의 아들 므나헴이 디르사에서 올라왔다. 그는 사마리아로 가서 야베스의 아들 살룸을 쳐서 죽이고 그를 이어 임금이 되었다.	For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.
15	보아라, 살룸에 관한 나머지 일과 그가 꾸민 일은 이스라엘 임금들의 역사일지에 적혀 있지 않은가?	And the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
16	그때 므나헴은 딥사흐를 쳤다. 그 안에 있던 모든 사람과 그 지역에 사는 사람들을 디르사에서부터 쳐 죽였다. 성문을 열어 주지 않았다고 그렇게 한 것이다. 그는 아이를 가진 여자를 모두 배를 갈라 죽였다.	Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coasts thereof from Tirzah: because they opened not to him, therefore he smote it; and all the women therein that were with child he ripped up.
17	므나헴이 이스라엘 임금이 되다 유다 임금 아사랴 서른아홉째 해에, 가디의 아들 므나헴이 이스라엘을 다스리는 임금이 되었다. 10년 동안 사마리아에서 다스렸다.	In the nine and thirtieth year of Azariah king of Judah began Menahem the son of Gadi to reign over Israel, and reigned ten years in Samaria.
18	그는 여호와께서 보시기에 나쁜 짓을 저질렀다. 다스리는 내내 이스라엘을 죄짓게 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄에서 떠나지 않았다.	And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
19	아시리아 임금 디글랏빌레셀이 그 땅을 치러 왔다. 므나헴은 디글랏빌레셀에게 은 34톤을 바쳤다. 그의 도움을 받아 나라를 자기 손에 탄탄히 세우려는 것이었다.	And Pul the king of Assyria came against the land: and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.
20	므나헴은 이스라엘 가운데 힘 있는 사람 모두에게 은을 내게 했다. 아시리아 임금에게 바치려는 것이었는데, 한 사람에 은 600그램씩이었다. 그러자 아시리아 임금은 돌아갔고, 그 땅에 머물러 있지 않았다.	And Menahem exacted the money of Israel, even of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in the land.
21	므나헴에 관한 나머지 일과 그가 했던 모든 일은 이스라엘 임금들의 역사일지에 적혀 있지 않은가?	And the rest of the acts of Menahem, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
22	므나헴이 자기 조상들과 함께 누웠고, 그의 아들 브가히야가 그를 이어 임금이 되었다.	And Menahem slept with his fathers; and Pekahiah his son reigned in his stead.
23	브가히야가 이스라엘 임금이 되다 유다 임금 아사랴 50년째 되는 해에, 므나헴의 아들 브가히야가 이스라엘을 다스리는 임금이 되었다. 사마리아에서 2년을 다스렸다.	In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned two years.
24	그는 여호와께서 보시기에 나쁜 짓을 저질렀다. 이스라엘을 죄짓게 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄에서 떠나지 않았다.	And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
25	그의 부하인 르말랴의 아들 베가흐가 그를 두고 일을 꾸몄다. 그는 사마리아에 있는 왕궁 요새에서 임금을 쳐 죽였다. 아르곱과 아리에가 함께했고 길르앗 사람 50명도 그와 함께했다. 그는 임금을 죽이고 그를 이어 임금이 되었다.	But Pekah the son of Remaliah, a captain of his, conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the palace of the king’s house, with Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men of the Gileadites: and he killed him, and reigned in his room.
26	보아라, 브가히야에 관한 나머지 일과 그가 했던 모든 일은 이스라엘 임금들의 역사일지에 적혀 있지 않은가?	And the rest of the acts of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
27	베가흐가 이스라엘 임금이 되다 유다 임금 아사랴 52년째 되는 해에, 르말랴의 아들 베가흐가 이스라엘을 다스리는 임금이 되었다. 사마리아에서 20년을 다스렸다.	In the two and fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned twenty years.
28	그는 여호와께서 보시기에 나쁜 짓을 저질렀다. 이스라엘을 죄짓게 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄에서 떠나지 않았다.	And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
29	이스라엘 임금 베가흐 때에 아시리아 임금 디글랏빌레셀이 쳐들어왔다. 그는 이욘, 아벨벳마아가, 야노아흐, 게데스, 하솔, 길르앗, 갈릴리, 납달리 온 땅을 차지했다. 그러고서 그곳 사람들을 아시리아로 사로잡아 갔다.	In the days of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglath–pileser king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abel–beth–maachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and carried them captive to Assyria.
30	엘라의 아들 호세아가 르말랴의 아들 베가흐를 두고 일을 꾸몄다. 그를 쳐서 죽이고 그를 이어 임금이 된 것이다. 웃시야의 아들 요담 스무째 해였다.	And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and smote him, and slew him, and reigned in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.
31	보아라, 베가흐에 관한 나머지 일과 그가 했던 모든 일은 이스라엘 임금들의 역사일지에 적혀 있지 않은가? ()	And the rest of the acts of Pekah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
32	요담이 유다 임금이 되다 이스라엘 임금 곧 르말랴의 아들 베가흐 둘째 해에, 유다 임금 곧 웃시야의 아들 요담이 임금이 되었다.	In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel began Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah to reign.
33	그가 임금이 되었을 때 25세였다. 16년 동안 예루살렘에서 다스렸다. 그의 어머니 이름은 여루사이고 사독의 딸이었다.	Five and twenty years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok.
34	그는 여호와께서 보시기에 올곧은 일을 했다. 그의 아버지 웃시야가 했던 대로 다 한 것이다.	And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord: he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.
35	다만 높은곳(산당)들은 없애지 않았다. 아직도 백성은 높은곳(산당)들에서 제물을 바치며 향을 피워 바치고 있었다. 그는 여호와의 집 위쪽 문을 세웠다.	Howbeit the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burned incense still in the high places. He built the higher gate of the house of the Lord.
36	요담이 했던 나머지 일들은 유다 임금들의 역사일지에 적혀 있지 않은가?	Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
37	그 무렵에 여호와는 유다를 치시려고 시리아 임금 르신과 르말랴의 아들 베가흐를 보내기 시작하셨다.	In those days the Lord began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.
38	요담이 자기 조상들과 함께 누워, 자기 조상 다윗의 도시에 조상들과 함께 묻혔다. 그의 아들 아하스가 그를 이어 임금이 되었다.	And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.
