절	새한글성경 (2024)	King James Version
1	솔로몬이 성전 지을 준비를 하다 티레 임금 히람이 신하들을 솔로몬에게 보냈다. 사람들이 그에게 기름을 부어 아버지를 잇는 임금으로 세웠다는 말을 들었던 것이다. 히람은 평생 다윗의 친구였다.	And Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants unto Solomon; for he had heard that they had anointed him king in the room of his father: for Hiram was ever a lover of David.
2	솔로몬은 히람에게 사람을 보내서 말했다.	And Solomon sent to Hiram, saying,
3	“임금님께서는, 나의 아버지 다윗을 잘 알고 계십니다. 아버지는 아버지의 하나님 여호와의 이름을 둘 집을 지을 수 없으셨지요. 전쟁으로 적들에게 휩싸여 있었기 때문입니다. 그러나 마침내 여호와께서 그들을 아버지의 발바닥 아래에 놓으셨지요.	Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the Lord his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet.
4	이제는 여호와 나의 하나님이 나를 사방 어디로부터든 전쟁 없이 편히 쉬게 해 주셨습니다. 맞수도 없고 나쁜 일도 일어나지 않습니다.	But now the Lord my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.
5	그래서 나는 이제 여호와 나의 하나님의 이름을 둘 집을 짓겠다고 하는 것입니다. 여호와께서 나의 아버지 다윗에게 말씀하신 그대로이지요. ‘내가 너를 이어 너의 자리에 앉게 할 너의 아들, 바로 그가 나의 이름을 둘 집을 지을 것이다.’라고 말씀하셨지요.	And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the Lord my God, as the Lord spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name.
6	이제 명령을 내려, 레바논의 삼나무(백향목)를 베어 나한테 주라고 해 주십시오. 나의 일꾼들이 임금님의 일꾼들과 함께할 것입니다. 임금님의 일꾼들이 받을 품삯은 말씀하시는 대로 임금님께 드리겠습니다. 임금님도 아시다시피 우리 가운데 시돈 사람들처럼 나무를 잘 벨 줄 아는 사람은 없습니다.”	Now therefore command thou that they hew me cedar trees out of Lebanon; and my servants shall be with thy servants: and unto thee will I give hire for thy servants according to all that thou shalt appoint: for thou knowest that there is not among us any that can skill to hew timber like unto the Sidonians.
7	히람은 솔로몬의 말을 들었을 때 매우 기뻐했고, 이렇게 말했다. “찬양받으실 만하다, 여호와는 오늘! 이 많은 백성을 다스릴 지혜로운 아들을 다윗에게 주셨구나.”	And it came to pass, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed be the Lord this day, which hath given unto David a wise son over this great people.
8	그리고 히람이 솔로몬에게 사람을 보내서 말했다. “잘 들었습니다. 임금님께서 사람을 보내어 나한테 하신 말씀을요. 내가, 임금님이 바라는 대로 다 해 드리겠습니다. 삼나무(백향목)도 전나무도 다 해 드리지요.	And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, I have considered the things which thou sentest to me for: and I will do all thy desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning timber of fir.
9	나의 일꾼들이 레바논에서 그것을 바다로 내려보낼 겁니다. 그러면 내가 바다에서 그것을 뗏목으로 묶어 임금님께서 나한테 알려 주시는 곳으로 보내겠습니다. 내가 거기서 그것을 풀어 놓을 테니 임금님께서는 가져가시면 됩니다. 대신에 임금님께서는 내가 바라는 대로 나의 왕궁에서 먹을 음식을 주시면 됩니다.”	My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon unto the sea: and I will convey them by sea in floats unto the place that thou shalt appoint me, and will cause them to be discharged there, and thou shalt receive them: and thou shalt accomplish my desire, in giving food for my household.
10	히람은 솔로몬에게 삼나무(백향목)와 전나무를 바라는 대로 모두 주었다.	So Hiram gave Solomon cedar trees and fir trees according to all his desire.
11	그러자 솔로몬은 히람에게 그의 집안사람들이 먹을 밀 4,400킬로리터와 맑게 짜낸 올리브기름 4,400리터를 주었다. 솔로몬은 히람에게 해마다 이처럼 주었다.	And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand measures of wheat for food to his household, and twenty measures of pure oil: thus gave Solomon to Hiram year by year.
12	여호와는 솔로몬에게 말씀하신 대로 지혜를 주셨다. 히람과 솔로몬은 사이좋게 지냈고, 두 사람은 조약을 맺었다.	And the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.
13	솔로몬 임금은 힘든 일을 하는 일꾼들을 온 이스라엘에서 불러왔다. 솔로몬의 일꾼들은 30,000명이었다.	And king Solomon raised a levy out of all Israel; and the levy was thirty thousand men.
14	그들 가운데 10,000명을 번갈아 가며 한 달씩 레바논으로 보냈다. 한 달은 레바논에 있었고, 두 달은 집에 있었다. 아도니람이 힘든 일 하는 사람들을 맡고 있었다.	And he sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month by courses: a month they were in Lebanon, and two months at home: and Adoniram was over the levy.
15	솔로몬에게는 짐 나르는 사람이 70,000명 있었고, 산에서 돌 캐는 사람이 80,000명 있었다.	And Solomon had threescore and ten thousand that bare burdens, and fourscore thousand hewers in the mountains;
16	그 밖에도 솔로몬에게는 일을 지휘하는 행정관들이 3,300명 있었다. 일하는 백성을 거느린 사람들이었다.	Beside the chief of Solomon’s officers which were over the work, three thousand and three hundred, which ruled over the people that wrought in the work.
17	임금이 명령하여 커다란 돌, 값비싼 돌을 캐 오게 했다. 그래서 잘 다듬은 돌로 집의 터를 놓았다.	And the king commanded, and they brought great stones, costly stones, and hewed stones, to lay the foundation of the house.
18	솔로몬의 집을 짓는 일꾼들, 히람의 집을 짓는 일꾼들, 그발 사람들이 나무와 돌을 다듬어 준비해서 집을 지었다.	And Solomon’s builders and Hiram’s builders did hew them, and the stonesquarers: so they prepared timber and stones to build the house.
