1	솔로몬이 세운 고위 관리들 솔로몬 임금이 온 이스라엘을 다스리는 임금이 되었다.	So king Solomon was king over all Israel.
2	그를 돕는 고위 관리들은 이러했다. 사독의 아들 아사랴가 제사장이었다.	And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,
3	시사의 아들들인 엘리호렙과 아히야는 서기관이었다. 아힐룻의 아들 여호사밧은 기록담당관이었다.	Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.
4	여호야다의 아들 브나야는 군대를 맡았고, 사독과 아비아달은 제사장이었다.	And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:
5	나단의 아들 아사랴는 지방관들의 감독을 맡았고, 나단의 아들 사붓은 제사장이자 임금의 자문관이었다.	And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king’s friend:
6	아히살은 왕궁을 맡았고, 압다의 아들 아도니람은 강제 노동 감독을 맡았다.	And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.
7	솔로몬에게는 온 이스라엘에 열두 명의 지방관이 있었다. 그들이 임금과 왕궁에 먹을거리를 댔다. 1년에 한 달씩 돌아가며 먹을거리를 대야 했다.	And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.
8	그들의 이름은 이러하다. 벤훌이 에브라임 산지를 맡았다.	And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:
9	벤데겔이 마가스, 사알빔, 벳세메스, 엘론 벳하난을 맡았다.	The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth–shemesh, and Elon–beth–hanan:
10	벤헤셋이 아룹봇을 맡았다. 그가 맡은 지역에는 소고와 헤벨의 온 땅도 있었다.	The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:
11	베나비나답이 나밧의 온 땅과 도르를 맡았다. 솔로몬의 딸 다밧이 그의 아내가 되었다.	The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
12	아힐룻의 아들 바아나가 다아낙과 므깃도를 맡았다. 이스르엘 아래 사르단 곁에 있는 벳스안 온 땅도 맡았다. 벳스안에서부터 아벨므홀라까지, 욕므암 맞은편까지 맡았다.	Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth–shean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth–shean to Abel–meholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam:
13	벤게벨이 길르앗의 라못을 맡았다. 그가 맡은 지역에는 길르앗에 있는 므낫세의 아들 야일의 마을들도 있었다. 그가 맡은 지역에는 바산에 있는 아르곱 지역도 있었다. 거기에 성벽과 놋빗장을 갖춘 60개의 큰 도시가 있었다.	The son of Geber, in Ramoth–gilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars:
14	잇도의 아들 아히나답이 마하나임을 맡았다.	Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim:
15	아히마아스가 납달리를 맡았다. 또한 그는 솔로몬의 딸 바스맛을 아내로 맞이했다.	Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
16	후새의 아들 바아나가 아셀과 브알롯을 맡았다.	Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:
17	바루아흐의 아들 여호사밧이 잇사갈을 맡았다.	Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:
18	엘라의 아들 시므이가 베냐민을 맡았다.	Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:
19	우리의 아들 게벨이 길르앗 땅, 곧 아모리 사람들의 임금 시혼과 바산 임금 옥이 다스리던 땅을 맡았다. 그 땅에 있는 지방관은 한 사람이었다.	Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.
20	솔로몬이 평화롭게 다스리다 유다와 이스라엘의 사람 수가 많았다. 바닷가의 모래만큼이나 많았다. 그들은 먹고 마시며 즐거워하고 있었다.	Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.
21	솔로몬이 다스리고 있던 곳은 유프라테스강에서부터 필리스티아 사람들의 땅을 포함하여 이집트 국경까지 이르는 모든 왕국이었다. 그들은 솔로몬이 살아 있는 동안 줄곧 선물을 바치면서 그를 섬기고 있었다.	And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
22	솔로몬의 하루 양식은 이러했다. 고운 밀가루가 6,600리터이고, 보통 밀가루가 13,200리터였다.	And Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,
23	외양간에서 키운 살찐 황소가 열 마리이고, 풀밭에서 키운 황소가 스무 마리이고, 양이 100마리였다. 그 밖에도 사슴, 가젤, 숫노루, 살찌운 큰 새들이 있었다.	Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.
24	솔로몬은 딥사흐에서부터 가자까지 강 건너편 온 지역을 다스리고 있었다. 유프라테스강 건너편 지역의 모든 임금을 다스리고 있었던 것이다. 그는 둘레의 모든 지역과 평화롭게 지냈다.	For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.
25	유다와 이스라엘 사람들은 저마다 자신의 포도나무와 무화과나무 아래에 마음 놓고 앉아 지낼 수 있었다. 단에서부터 브엘세바에 이르기까지 솔로몬이 살아 있는 동안 그러했다.	And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer–sheba, all the days of Solomon.
26	솔로몬에게는 전투수레 끄는 말을 두는 마구간 40,000칸과 기마병 12,000명이 있었다.	And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
27	앞에서 말한 지방관들이 솔로몬 임금에게 먹을거리를 대 주었다. 솔로몬 임금의 식탁에 나아가는 사람 누구에게나, 저마다 맡은 달에 그렇게 해 주었다. 아무것도 모자라지 않도록 했다.	And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon’s table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.
28	또한 보리와 짚을 기마병이 타는 말들과 짐 나르는 말들이 먹도록 가져왔다. 저마다 정해진 곳으로 맡은 분량에 맞추어 가져왔다.	Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.
29	하나님이 솔로몬에게 지혜와 엄청난 깨달음을 주셨다. 마음의 넓이가 바닷가의 모래처럼 한이 없게 해 주셨다.	And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
30	솔로몬의 지혜는 동쪽의 모든 사람들의 지혜를 넘어섰다. 이집트의 모든 지혜도 넘어섰다.	And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
31	그는 어느 누구보다도 지혜로웠다. 에스라흐 사람 에단보다, 또 마홀의 아들들인 헤만과 갈골과 다르다보다 지혜로웠다. 그의 이름이 둘레의 모든 민족들 가운데 알려졌다.	For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.
32	그는 3,000가지의 격언을 말했고, 그의 노래는 1,005편이었다.	And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.
33	그는 레바논에 있는 삼나무(백향목)부터 담벼락에서 자라나는 히솝(우슬초)까지 나무들을 두고 말했다. 집짐승, 날짐승, 기는 짐승, 물고기를 두고도 말했다.	And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
34	모든 민족 사람들이 솔로몬의 지혜로운 말을 들으러 왔다. 그들은 그의 지혜에 관한 소문을 들은 세상 모든 임금들이 보낸 사람들이었다.	And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
