1	요시야가 넘는명절을 지키다 요시야는 예루살렘에서 여호와께 드리는 넘는명절(유월절)을 지켰다. 넘는명절(유월절)의 양을 첫째 달 열넷째 날에 잡았다.	Moreover Josiah kept a passover unto the Lord in Jerusalem: and they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.
2	그는 제사장들을 세워서 맡아 할 일을 주고 힘을 북돋워 주면서 여호와의 집을 섬기게 했다.	And he set the priests in their charges, and encouraged them to the service of the house of the Lord,
3	그리고 온 이스라엘을 가르치고 있는 레위 사람들, 곧 여호와께 거룩한 사람들에게 말했다. “그 거룩한 상자(궤)를 이스라엘 임금 다윗의 아들 솔로몬이 지은 집에 두십시오. 여러분이 어깨에 메고 옮기는 일은 없을 겁니다. 이제는 여호와 여러분의 하나님을, 그리고 그분의 백성 이스라엘을 섬기십시오.	And said unto the Levites that taught all Israel, which were holy unto the Lord, Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel did build; it shall not be a burden upon your shoulders: serve now the Lord your God, and his people Israel,
4	여러분의 아버지 쪽 집안에 따라, 여러분의 모둠에 맞추어 준비하십시오. 이스라엘 임금 다윗이 써 놓은 대로, 그의 아들 솔로몬이 적어 둔 대로요.	And prepare yourselves by the houses of your fathers, after your courses, according to the writing of David king of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon his son.
5	거룩한곳(성소)에서 여러분의 친족인 일반 백성의 아버지 쪽 집안별 모임대로 서십시오. 레위 사람들의 아버지 쪽 집안 모둠에 따라서요.	And stand in the holy place according to the divisions of the families of the fathers of your brethren the people, and after the division of the families of the Levites.
6	넘는명절(유월절)의 양을 잡고, 스스로를 깨끗하게 하십시오. 여러분의 형제들을 위해 준비해서 모세를 통해 주신 여호와의 말씀대로 하십시오.”	So kill the passover, and sanctify yourselves, and prepare your brethren, that they may do according to the word of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
7	요시야는 백성을 위해 가축 떼에서 어린양과 어린 염소를 떼어 주었다. 모두 넘는명절(유월절)의 제물로 바칠 가축이었다. 와 있는 사람들 모두에게 주었는데 30,000마리였다. 소 3,000마리도 주었다. 이것은 임금의 재산에서 나온 것이다.	And Josiah gave to the people, of the flock, lambs and kids, all for the passover offerings, for all that were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bullocks: these were of the king’s substance.
8	그의 관리들도 자발적으로 나서서 백성들과 제사장들과 레위 사람들을 위해 떼어 주었다. 힐기야, 스가랴, 여히엘은 하나님의 집 관리 책임자들이었다. 그들은 넘는명절(유월절)의 양 2,600마리와 소 300마리를 제사장들에게 주었다.	And his princes gave willingly unto the people, to the priests, and to the Levites: Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, rulers of the house of God, gave unto the priests for the passover offerings two thousand and six hundred small cattle, and three hundred oxen.
9	고나냐, 그 형제들인 스마야와 느다넬, 하사뱌, 여이엘, 요사밧 곧 레위 사람의 지도자들도 넘는명절(유월절)의 양 5,000마리와 소 500마리를 레위 사람들에게 떼어 주었다.	Conaniah also, and Shemaiah and Nethaneel, his brethren, and Hashabiah and Jeiel and Jozabad, chief of the Levites, gave unto the Levites for passover offerings five thousand small cattle, and five hundred oxen.
10	할 일이 다 마련되었고 제사장들은 자기 자리에 섰다. 레위 사람들은 임금이 명령한 대로 모둠에 따라 섰다.	So the service was prepared, and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites in their courses, according to the king’s commandment.
11	그들은 넘는명절(유월절)의 양을 잡았다. 제사장들은 그들의 손에서 받은 피를 뿌리고 레위 사람들은 가죽을 벗겼다.	And they killed the passover, and the priests sprinkled the blood from their hands, and the Levites flayed them.
12	그들은 다태우는제물(번제물)을 따로 떼어서 일반 백성의 아버지 쪽 집안별 모임에 넘겨주었다. 모세의 책에 적혀 있는 대로 여호와께 바치게 하려는 것이었다. 소도 그렇게 했다.	And they removed the burnt offerings, that they might give according to the divisions of the families of the people, to offer unto the Lord, as it is written in the book of Moses. And so did they with the oxen.
13	넘는명절(유월절)의 양을 법령에 따라 불에 굽고 거룩한 제물을 솥과 가마와 냄비에 삶았다. 그리고 일반 백성 모두에게 바로 나누어 주었다.	And they roasted the passover with fire according to the ordinance: but the other holy offerings sod they in pots, and in caldrons, and in pans, and divided them speedily among all the people.
14	그러고 나서 그들은 자신들과 제사장들의 몫을 갖추어 마련했다. 아론의 자손 제사장들은 다태우는제물(번제물)과 그 기름기를 밤까지 태워 올려야 했기 때문이다. 레위 사람들은 자신들과 아론의 자손 제사장들의 몫을 갖추어 마련했다.	And afterward they made ready for themselves, and for the priests: because the priests the sons of Aaron were busied in offering of burnt offerings and the fat until night; therefore the Levites prepared for themselves, and for the priests the sons of Aaron.
15	노래하는 사람들 곧 아삽의 자손들은 자기 자리를 지키고 있었다. 다윗, 아삽, 헤만, 임금의 예견자 여두둔의 명령에 따른 것이었다. 문지기들은 문마다 서 있었다. 그들은 하던 일을 떠날 필요가 없었다. 그들의 형제인 레위 사람들이 그들을 위해 몫을 마련해 주었기 때문이다.	And the singers the sons of Asaph were in their place, according to the commandment of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the king’s seer; and the porters waited at every gate; they might not depart from their service; for their brethren the Levites prepared for them.
16	여호와를 섬기는 일이 그날에 다 마련되어 넘는명절(유월절)을 지킬 수 있었다. 또한 여호와의 제단에 다태우는제물(번제물)을 태워 올릴 수 있었다. 요시야 임금이 명령한 대로였다.	So all the service of the Lord was prepared the same day, to keep the passover, and to offer burnt offerings upon the altar of the Lord, according to the commandment of king Josiah.
17	거기에 있던 이스라엘 사람들이 그때 넘는명절(유월절)을 지켰다. 또한 누룩없는명절(무교절)을 7일 동안 지켰다.	And the children of Israel that were present kept the passover at that time, and the feast of unleavened bread seven days.
18	이스라엘에서 그와 같이 넘는명절(유월절)을 지킨 일은 없었다. 사무엘 예언자의 시대부터 없었다. 이스라엘의 어떤 임금도 그렇게 넘는명절(유월절)을 지키지 않았다. 그런데 넘는명절(유월절)을 요시야와 제사장들과 레위 사람들이 그렇게 지킨 것이다. 또한 거기에 있던 온 유다, 이스라엘 사람들, 예루살렘에 사는 사람들이 지킨 것이다.	And there was no passover like to that kept in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet; neither did all the kings of Israel keep such a passover as Josiah kept, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel that were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
19	요시야가 다스린 지 18년째 되는 해에 넘는명절(유월절)을 이렇게 지켰다. ()	In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah was this passover kept.
20	요시야가 느고에게 죽다 이런 일이 모두 있은 뒤였다. 요시야가 그 집을 제대로 갖추어 놓은 다음이었다. 이집트 임금 느고가 올라왔다. 유프라테스강에 있는 카르케미시에서 싸우려는 것이었다. 요시야는 그를 만나러 나갔다.	After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight against Carchemish by Euphrates: and Josiah went out against him.
21	느고는 그에게 심부름꾼들을 보내서 이렇게 말했다. “유다 임금, 내가 당신과 무슨 상관이 있소? 오늘 나는 당신한테 맞서려는 것이 아니오. 나와 싸우고 있는 나라로 가는 거요. 하나님이 나한테 서두르라고 하셨으니, 당신은 하나님한테서 손을 떼시오. 그분이 나와 함께 계시오. 그분이 당신을 무너뜨리게 하지 마시오.”	But he sent ambassadors to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, thou king of Judah? I come not against thee this day, but against the house wherewith I have war: for God commanded me to make haste: forbear thee from meddling with God, who is with me, that he destroy thee not.
22	그러나 요시야는 그에게서 얼굴을 돌리지 않았다. 오히려 그와 싸우려고 자기를 못 알아보게 꾸몄다. 하나님의 입에서 나온 느고의 말을 듣지 않고 므깃도 골짜기로 싸우러 갔다.	Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight with him, and hearkened not unto the words of Necho from the mouth of God, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.
23	활 쏘는 사람이 요시야 임금을 쏘았다. 임금은 자기 신하들에게 말했다. “나를 옮겨 주시오. 많이 아프오.”	And the archers shot at king Josiah; and the king said to his servants, Have me away; for I am sore wounded.
24	그의 신하들은 그를 전투수레에서 옮겨서 그의 2인자의 수레에 태운 다음 예루살렘으로 모셔 왔다. 그는 죽어서 그의 조상들의 무덤에 묻혔다. 온 유다와 예루살렘이 요시야의 죽음을 슬퍼했다.	His servants therefore took him out of that chariot, and put him in the second chariot that he had; and they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died, and was buried in one of the sepulchres of his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah.
25	예레미야가 요시야의 죽음을 슬퍼하는 노래를 불렀다. 노래하는 남자와 노래하는 여자가 요시야를 두고 모두 죽음을 슬퍼하는 노래를 불렀다. 오늘까지 그렇게 한다. 이렇게 하는 것을 이스라엘의 규정으로 만들었다. 보라, 그 노래들이 애도의 노래들 가운데 적혀 있다.	And Jeremiah lamented for Josiah: and all the singing men and the singing women spake of Josiah in their lamentations to this day, and made them an ordinance in Israel: and, behold, they are written in the lamentations.
26	요시야에 관한 나머지 일들, 여호와의 율법에 적힌 대로 따르던 그의 한결같은 사랑,	Now the rest of the acts of Josiah, and his goodness, according to that which was written in the law of the Lord,
27	처음부터 끝까지 그의 일들은, 보라, 이스라엘과 유다 임금들의 책에 적혀 있다.	And his deeds, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
