1	여호아하스가 다스리다 그 땅의 백성이 요시야의 아들 여호아하스를 세워서, 그의 아버지를 이어 예루살렘에서 임금으로 앉혔다.	Then the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and made him king in his father’s stead in Jerusalem.
2	여호아하스가 임금이 되었을 때 23세였다. 3개월 동안 예루살렘에서 다스렸다.	Jehoahaz was twenty and three years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem.
3	이집트 임금이 그를 예루살렘에서 몰아내고, 그 땅에다 은 3.4톤과 금 34킬로그램의 조공을 물렸다.	And the king of Egypt put him down at Jerusalem, and condemned the land in an hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold.
4	이집트 임금은 그의 형 엘리아김을 유다와 예루살렘을 다스리는 임금으로 앉혔다. 그런 다음 그의 이름을 여호야김으로 바꾸었다. 그의 동생 여호아하스는 느고가 잡아서 이집트로 데려갔다. ()	And the king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem, and turned his name to Jehoiakim. And Necho took Jehoahaz his brother, and carried him to Egypt.
5	여호야김이 다스리다 여호야김이 임금이 되었을 때 25세였다. 11년 동안 예루살렘에서 다스렸다. 그는 여호와 자기 하나님께서 보시기에 나쁜 짓을 저질렀다.	Jehoiakim was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord his God.
6	그에게 맞서 바빌론 임금 네부카드네자르가 올라와, 그를 놋사슬로 묶어서 바빌론으로 끌고 갔다.	Against him came up Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Babylon.
7	여호와의 집에 있는 그릇들을 네부카드네자르가 바빌론으로 가져갔다. 그것들을 바빌론에 있는 자기 궁전에다 두었다.	Nebuchadnezzar also carried of the vessels of the house of the Lord to Babylon, and put them in his temple at Babylon.
8	여호야김에 관한 나머지 일들, 그가 했던 역겨운 일들, 사람들이 그를 두고 알아낸 일들은, 보라, 그것들은 이스라엘과 유다 임금들의 책에 적혀 있다. 그의 아들 여호야긴이 그를 이어 임금이 되었다. ()	Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and his abominations which he did, and that which was found in him, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.
9	여호야긴이 다스리다 여호야긴이 임금이 되었을 때 8세였다. 3개월 10일 동안 예루살렘에서 다스렸다. 그는 여호와께서 보시기에 나쁜 짓을 저질렀다.	Jehoiachin was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord.
10	해가 바뀔 때 네부카드네자르 임금이 사람을 보내어 그를 바빌론으로 데려갔다. 여호와의 집에 있는 탐나는 그릇들도 함께 가져갔다. 그러고 나서 그의 친척 시드기야를 유다와 예루살렘 임금으로 앉혔다. (; 상)	And when the year was expired, king Nebuchadnezzar sent, and brought him to Babylon, with the goodly vessels of the house of the Lord, and made Zedekiah his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem.
11	시드기야가 다스리다 시드기야가 임금이 되었을 때 21세였다. 11년 동안 예루살렘에서 다스렸다.	Zedekiah was one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned eleven years in Jerusalem.
12	그는 여호와 자기 하나님께서 보시기에 나쁜 짓을 저질렀다. 여호와의 입에서 나오는 말씀을 일러 주는 예레미야 예언자 앞에 자신을 낮추지 않았다. (; )	And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord his God, and humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from the mouth of the Lord.
13	예루살렘이 무너지다 그뿐 아니라 그는 네부카드네자르 임금에게 맞서 대들었다. 네부카드네자르는 그에게 하나님의 이름을 걸고 맹세하게 했었다. 그러나 그는 목을 뻣뻣하게 하고 마음을 단단하게 하여 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님께로 돌아오지 않았다.	And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart from turning unto the Lord God of Israel.
14	모든 지도층 제사장과 백성까지도 크게 신의를 저버렸다. 다른 나라들의 역겨운 짓을 그대로 따랐던 것이다. 그들은 여호와께서 예루살렘에서 거룩하게 하신 여호와의 집을 더럽혔다.	Moreover all the chief of the priests, and the people, transgressed very much after all the abominations of the heathen; and polluted the house of the Lord which he had hallowed in Jerusalem.
15	여호와 그들의 조상들의 하나님께서는 그들에게 심부름꾼들을 쉼 없이 보내어 말씀하셨다. 그분의 백성과 그분이 사시는 곳을 아끼셨기 때문이다.	And the Lord God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place:
16	그러나 그들은 하나님의 심부름꾼들을 놀려 먹고 그분의 말씀을 얕잡아 보고 그분의 예언자들을 비웃음거리로 만들었다. 그분의 백성을 두고 여호와의 노여움이 치밀어 누그러뜨릴 길이 없었다.	But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, till there was no remedy.
17	그분은 칼데아 임금을 그들에게 맞서 올라오게 하셨다. 그들의 거룩한곳(성소)이 있는 집에서 그들 가운데 젊은 사람들을 칼로 죽이게 하셨다. 젊은 남자나 젊은 여자, 노인이나 힘없는 사람 모두를 아낌없이 그의 손에 넘기셨다.	Therefore he brought upon them the king of the Chaldees, who slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion upon young man or maiden, old man, or him that stooped for age: he gave them all into his hand.
18	하나님의 집에 있는 크고 작은 그릇, 여호와의 집의 보물, 임금과 그의 아래에 있는 관리들의 보물, 이 모든 것들을 그가 바빌론으로 가져갔다.	And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king, and of his princes; all these he brought to Babylon.
19	하나님의 집을 불태우고 예루살렘 성벽들을 헐어 버렸다. 거기 있던 궁전들을 모두 불로 태웠고, 거기 있던 값나가는 그릇들을 모두 깨뜨려 버렸다.	And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof.
20	칼을 피하여 남은 사람들은 바빌론으로 사로잡아 갔다. 그들은 페르시아 왕국이 들어설 때까지 칼데아 임금과 그의 자손의 종이 되었다.	And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia:
21	예레미야의 입을 통해 주신 여호와의 말씀이 이루어진 것이다. 마침내 그 땅이 자기가 누려야 했던 안식년을 받아 누렸다. 땅은 황폐해진 기간 내내 쉬면서 70년을 채웠다. ()	To fulfil the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years.
22	키루스가 명령을 내리다 페르시아 임금 키루스 첫째 해에, 예레미야의 입에서 나온 여호와의 말씀이 이루어져야 했다. 그래서 여호와께서 페르시아 임금 키루스의 정신을 일깨우셨다. 그러자 키루스는 자신의 온 왕국에 소리쳐 널리 알리고, 글로도 그렇게 했다.	Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord spoken by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,
23	“페르시아 임금 키루스께서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. ‘땅의 모든 왕국을 나에게 주신 분은 여호와 하늘의 하나님이시오. 바로 그분이 나에게 지시하여 자신을 위해 집을, 유다에 있는 예루살렘에 지으라고 하셨소. 그대들 가운데 누가 그분의 백성이오? 여호와 그의 하나님이 그와 함께하시기를! 그는 올라가도록 하시오.’”	Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the Lord God of heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? The Lord his God be with him, and let him go up.
