절	새한글성경 (2024)	King James Version
1	여호야다가 아달랴를 죽이고 요아스를 세우다 7년째 되는 해에 여호야다는 마음을 단단히 먹고 백명대장들에게서 약속을 받아 냈다. 이들은 여로함의 아들 아사랴, 여호하난의 아들 이스마엘, 오벳의 아들 아사랴, 아다야의 아들 마아세야, 시그리의 아들 엘리사밧이었다.	And in the seventh year Jehoiada strengthened himself, and took the captains of hundreds, Azariah the son of Jeroham, and Ishmael the son of Jehohanan, and Azariah the son of Obed, and Maaseiah the son of Adaiah, and Elishaphat the son of Zichri, into covenant with him.
2	이들은 유다를 돌아다니며 유다의 온 도시로부터 레위 사람들과 이스라엘 가문의 우두머리들을 모았다. 그러고는 예루살렘으로 왔다.	And they went about in Judah, and gathered the Levites out of all the cities of Judah, and the chief of the fathers of Israel, and they came to Jerusalem.
3	모인 무리 모두가 하나님의 집에서 임금과 약속을 맺었다. 여호야다가 그들에게 말했다. “보세요, 임금님의 아드님이 임금이 되셔야 합니다. 여호와께서 다윗의 자손을 두고 말씀하신 대로요.	And all the congregation made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And he said unto them, Behold, the king’s son shall reign, as the Lord hath said of the sons of David.
4	여러분은 이렇게 하셔야 합니다. 안식일에 들어오는 제사장과 레위 사람 3분의 1은 문을 지켜야 합니다.	This is the thing that ye shall do; A third part of you entering on the sabbath, of the priests and of the Levites, shall be porters of the doors;
5	3분의 1은 왕궁에 있어야 합니다. 3분의 1은 바닥 문에 있어야 합니다. 온 백성은 여호와의 집 마당에 있어야 합니다.	And a third part shall be at the king’s house; and a third part at the gate of the foundation: and all the people shall be in the courts of the house of the Lord.
6	여호와의 집에 들어오면 안 됩니다, 제사장들과 그들을 섬기는 레위 사람들 말고는요. 그들은 들어올 수 있습니다. 그들은 거룩하기 때문입니다. 온 백성은 여호와께서 지키라고 하신 것을 지켜야 합니다.	But let none come into the house of the Lord, save the priests, and they that minister of the Levites; they shall go in, for they are holy: but all the people shall keep the watch of the Lord.
7	레위 사람들은 임금님을 빙 둘러서십시오. 저마다 손에 무기를 들고 있어야 합니다. 누구든 그 집에 들어오는 사람은 죽을 것입니다. 임금님이 들어오고 나가실 때 그분 곁에 있으십시오.”	And the Levites shall compass the king round about, every man with his weapons in his hand; and whosoever else cometh into the house, he shall be put to death: but be ye with the king when he cometh in, and when he goeth out.
8	레위 사람들과 온 유다는 여호야다 제사장이 시키는 대로 다 했다. 그들은 저마다 안식일에 들어오는 사람들과 안식일에 나가는 사람들을 거느렸다. 이렇게 여호야다 제사장은 모둠들을 돌려 보내지 않았다.	So the Levites and all Judah did according to all things that Jehoiada the priest had commanded, and took every man his men that were to come in on the sabbath, with them that were to go out on the sabbath: for Jehoiada the priest dismissed not the courses.
9	여호야다 제사장은 백명대장들에게 창과 갖가지 방패를 주었다. 다윗 임금의 것으로 하나님의 집에 있던 것이었다.	Moreover Jehoiada the priest delivered to the captains of hundreds spears, and bucklers, and shields, that had been king David’s, which were in the house of God.
10	그는 온 백성이 저마다 손에 무기를 들고 서 있게 했다. 그 집 오른쪽 귀퉁이에서 왼쪽 귀퉁이까지 제단과 건물 곳곳에서 임금을 빙 둘러싸고 있었다.	And he set all the people, every man having his weapon in his hand, from the right side of the temple to the left side of the temple, along by the altar and the temple, by the king round about.
11	그들은 임금의 아들을 데리고 나와서, 그에게 왕관을 씌우고 증언 기록을 주었다. 그를 임금으로 세우고 여호야다와 그의 아들들이 그에게 기름을 부었다. 그리고 그들이 말했다. “임금님, 만세!”	Then they brought out the king’s son, and put upon him the crown, and gave him the testimony, and made him king. And Jehoiada and his sons anointed him, and said, God save the king.
12	아달랴는 백성이 뛰어다니며 임금을 칭송하는 소리를 듣고, 백성을 보러 여호와의 집으로 왔다.	Now when Athaliah heard the noise of the people running and praising the king, she came to the people into the house of the Lord:
13	와서 보니 임금은 들어오는 곳 기둥 곁에 서 있었다. 지휘관들과 트럼펫 부는 사람들이 임금 곁에 있었다. 그 땅의 백성 모두가 기뻐하며 트럼펫을 불고 있었다. 노래하는 사람들이 악기에 맞춰 찬양을 이끌고 있었다. 아달랴가 자기 옷을 찢으며 말했다. “반역이다! 반역이다!”	And she looked, and, behold, the king stood at his pillar at the entering in, and the princes and the trumpets by the king: and all the people of the land rejoiced, and sounded with trumpets, also the singers with instruments of musick, and such as taught to sing praise. Then Athaliah rent her clothes, and said, Treason, Treason.
14	여호야다 제사장은 군대를 거느리는 백명대장들을 불러내어 말했다. “늘어선 줄 바깥으로 저 여자를 끌어내십시오. 그를 따르는 사람은 누구든 칼에 죽을 것입니다.” 제사장이 “그를 여호와의 집에서 죽이면 안 됩니다.” 하고 말했던 것이다.	Then Jehoiada the priest brought out the captains of hundreds that were set over the host, and said unto them, Have her forth of the ranges: and whoso followeth her, let him be slain with the sword. For the priest said, Slay her not in the house of the Lord.
15	그들은 그를 손으로 붙들었다. 그가 ‘말들의 성문’ 입구를 지나 왕궁으로 갔을 때, 그들은 거기서 그를 죽였다. ()	So they laid hands on her; and when she was come to the entering of the horse gate by the king’s house, they slew her there.
16	여호야다의 개혁 여호야다는 자신과 백성과 임금 사이에 약속을 맺게 했다. 그들이 여호와의 백성이 되게 하려는 것이었다.	And Jehoiada made a covenant between him, and between all the people, and between the king, that they should be the Lord’s people.
17	백성 모두가 바알 신전으로 가서 그 신전을 허물었다. 그 제단과 신상은 깨뜨려 버렸고, 바알의 제사장 맛단은 제단 앞에서 죽였다.	Then all the people went to the house of Baal, and brake it down, and brake his altars and his images in pieces, and slew Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars.
18	그런 다음 여호야다는 여호와의 집을 지키는 일을 레위 사람 제사장들의 손에 맡겼다. 이 사람들에게 다윗이 여호와의 집에 관한 일을 나누어 맡겼던 것이다. 다윗이 하라고 한 대로 기쁘게 노래 부르며, 모세의 율법에 적힌 대로 여호와께 다태우는제물(번제물)을 바치게 하려는 것이었다.	Also Jehoiada appointed the offices of the house of the Lord by the hand of the priests the Levites, whom David had distributed in the house of the Lord, to offer the burnt offerings of the Lord, as it is written in the law of Moses, with rejoicing and with singing, as it was ordained by David.
19	그는 문지기들을 여호와의 집 문들에 세워, 깨끗하지 않은 사람은 어떤 일이 있어도 들어오지 못하게 했다.	And he set the porters at the gates of the house of the Lord, that none which was unclean in any thing should enter in.
20	그는 백명대장들, 귀족들, 백성을 다스리는 사람들, 땅의 백성 모두를 모았다. 그러고는 여호와의 집에서 임금을 모시고 내려갔다. 그들은 위쪽 문 가운데를 지나 왕궁으로 들어갔다. 그리고 임금을 나라의 임금자리에 앉혔다.	And he took the captains of hundreds, and the nobles, and the governors of the people, and all the people of the land, and brought down the king from the house of the Lord: and they came through the high gate into the king’s house, and set the king upon the throne of the kingdom.
21	그 땅의 백성 모두가 기뻐했고, 그 도시는 평온했다. 아달랴를 칼로 죽였기 때문이다.	And all the people of the land rejoiced: and the city was quiet, after that they had slain Athaliah with the sword.
