1	유다의 자손 이스라엘의 아들은 이러하다. 곧 르우벤, 시므온, 레위, 유다, 잇사갈, 스불론,	These are the sons of Israel; Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,
2	단, 요셉, 베냐민, 납달리, 갓, 아셀이다.	Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
3	유다의 아들은 에르, 오난, 셀라이다. 이 셋은 수아의 딸인 가나안 여자가 그에게 낳아 준 아들들이다. 그런데 유다의 맏아들 에르는 여호와 보시기에 악했다. 그래서 여호와께서 그를 죽이셨다.	The sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah: which three were born unto him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, the firstborn of Judah, was evil in the sight of the Lord; and he slew him.
4	유다의 며느리 다말이 유다에게 베레스와 세라흐를 낳아 주었다. 이렇게 유다의 아들은 모두 다섯이다.	And Tamar his daughter in law bare him Pharez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.
5	베레스의 아들은 헤스론과 하물이다.	The sons of Pharez; Hezron, and Hamul.
6	세라흐의 아들은 시므리, 에단, 헤만, 갈골, 다라이다. 그들은 모두 다섯이다.	And the sons of Zerah; Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara: five of them in all.
7	갈미의 아들은 아갈이다. 그는 이스라엘에 문제를 일으킨 사람이었다. 여호와께 바쳐서 완전히 없애 버려야 하는 것을 남겨 두는 잘못을 저질렀기 때문이다.	And the sons of Carmi; Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the thing accursed.
8	에단의 아들은 아사랴이다.	And the sons of Ethan; Azariah.
9	다윗의 계보 헤스론에게 태어난 아들은 여라흐므엘, 람, 글루배이다.	The sons also of Hezron, that were born unto him; Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.
10	람은 암미나답을 낳았다. 암미나답은 유다 사람들의 지도자 나흐손을 낳았다.	And Ram begat Amminadab; and Amminadab begat Nahshon, prince of the children of Judah;
11	나흐손은 살마를 낳았고, 살마는 보아스를 낳았다.	And Nahshon begat Salma, and Salma begat Boaz,
12	보아스는 오벳을 낳았고, 오벳은 이새를 낳았다.	And Boaz begat Obed, and Obed begat Jesse,
13	이새는 맏아들로 엘리압을 낳았다. 아비나답을 둘째 아들로, 시므아를 셋째 아들로 낳았다.	And Jesse begat his firstborn Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimma the third,
14	느다넬을 넷째 아들로, 랏대를 다섯째 아들로 낳았다.	Nethaneel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,
15	오셈을 여섯째 아들로, 다윗을 일곱째 아들로 낳았다.	Ozem the sixth, David the seventh:
16	이들의 누이는 스루야와 아비가일이다. 스루야의 아들은 아비새, 요압, 아사헬, 이렇게 셋이다.	Whose sisters were Zeruiah, and Abigail. And the sons of Zeruiah; Abishai, and Joab, and Asahel, three.
17	아비가일은 아마사를 낳았다. 아마사의 아버지는 이스마엘 사람 예델이다.	And Abigail bare Amasa: and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmeelite.
18	헤스론의 자손 헤스론의 아들 갈렙은 여리옷이라고도 하는 아내 아수바한테서 아들을 얻었다. 그의 아내가 낳은 아들은 이러하다. 곧 예셀, 소밥, 아르돈이다.	And Caleb the son of Hezron begat children of Azubah his wife, and of Jerioth: her sons are these; Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.
19	아수바가 죽었다. 그러자 갈렙은 에브랏을 아내로 맞아들였다. 에브랏이 그에게 후르를 낳아 주었다.	And when Azubah was dead, Caleb took unto him Ephrath, which bare him Hur.
20	후르는 우리를 낳았고, 우리는 브살렐을 낳았다.	And Hur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezaleel.
21	그러고 나서 헤스론은 길르앗의 아버지 마길의 딸에게 들어갔다. 그를 아내로 맞아들였던 것이다. 그때 헤스론은 60세였다. 그 아내가 그에게 스굽을 낳아 주었다.	And afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was threescore years old; and she bare him Segub.
22	스굽은 야일을 낳았다. 길르앗 땅의 도시 스물세 군데가 야일의 것이 되었다.	And Segub begat Jair, who had three and twenty cities in the land of Gilead.
23	그러나 그술과 시리아가 그 도시들 중에서 하봇야일을 빼앗아 갔다. 그낫과 거기에 딸린 60개 도시도 빼앗아 갔다. 이들은 모두 길르앗의 아버지 마길의 아들이었다.	And he took Geshur, and Aram, with the towns of Jair, from them, with Kenath, and the towns thereof, even threescore cities. All these belonged to the sons of Machir the father of Gilead.
24	헤스론이 갈렙에브라다에서 죽은 뒤였다. 헤스론의 아내는 아비야였는데 그가 헤스론에게 아스훌을 낳아 주었다. 그는 드고아의 아버지이다.	And after that Hezron was dead in Caleb–ephratah, then Abiah Hezron’s wife bare him Ashur the father of Tekoa.
25	여라흐므엘의 자손 헤스론의 맏아들 여라흐므엘에게 아들이 있었다. 맏아들은 람이다. 또 부나, 오렌, 오셈, 아히야가 있었다.	And the sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were, Ram the firstborn, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, and Ahijah.
26	여라흐므엘에게는 다른 아내도 있었다. 그의 이름은 아다라이고, 그는 오남의 어머니이다.	Jerahmeel had also another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.
27	여라흐므엘의 맏아들 람에게 아들들이 있었다. 곧 마아스, 야민, 에겔이다.	And the sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerahmeel were, Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker.
28	오남에게도 아들이 있었다. 곧 삼매와 야다이다. 삼매의 아들은 나답과 아비술이다.	And the sons of Onam were, Shammai, and Jada. And the sons of Shammai; Nadab, and Abishur.
29	아비술의 아내 이름은 아비하일이다. 그는 아비술에게 아흐반과 몰릿을 낳아 주었다.	And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, and she bare him Ahban, and Molid.
30	나답의 아들은 셀렛과 압바임이다. 셀렛은 아들이 없이 죽었다.	And the sons of Nadab; Seled, and Appaim: but Seled died without children.
31	압바임의 아들은 이시이다. 이시의 아들은 세산이다. 세산의 아들은 아흘래이다.	And the sons of Appaim; Ishi. And the sons of Ishi; Sheshan. And the children of Sheshan; Ahlai.
32	삼매의 형제 야다의 아들은 예델과 요나단이다. 예델은 아들이 없이 죽었다.	And the sons of Jada the brother of Shammai; Jether, and Jonathan: and Jether died without children.
33	요나단의 아들은 벨렛과 사사이다. 이들이 바로 여라흐므엘의 자손이다.	And the sons of Jonathan; Peleth, and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.
34	세산에게는 아들이 없고 딸뿐이었다. 세산에게 이집트 사람인 노예가 있었다. 그의 이름은 야르하이다.	Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha.
35	세산이 자기 딸을 자신의 노예 야르하에게 아내로 주었다. 그 딸은 야르하에게 앗대를 낳아 주었다.	And Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant to wife; and she bare him Attai.
36	앗대는 나단을 낳았고, 나단은 사밧을 낳았다.	And Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad,
37	사밧은 에블랄을 낳았고, 에블랄은 오벳을 낳았다.	And Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat Obed,
38	오벳은 예후를 낳았고, 예후는 아사랴를 낳았다.	And Obed begat Jehu, and Jehu begat Azariah,
39	아사랴는 헬레스를 낳았고, 헬레스는 엘르아사를 낳았다.	And Azariah begat Helez, and Helez begat Eleasah,
40	엘르아사는 시스매를 낳았고, 시스매는 살룸을 낳았다.	And Eleasah begat Sisamai, and Sisamai begat Shallum,
41	살룸은 여가먀를 낳았고, 여가먀는 엘리사마를 낳았다.	And Shallum begat Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begat Elishama.
42	갈렙의 자손 여라흐므엘의 형제 갈렙에게 아들이 있었다. 메사가 맏아들이다. 그가 바로 시프의 아버지이다. 헤브론의 아버지 마레사에게도 아들이 있었다.	Now the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were, Mesha his firstborn, which was the father of Ziph; and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.
43	헤브론의 아들은 고라흐, 답부아흐, 레겜, 세마이다.	And the sons of Hebron; Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema.
44	세마는 요르고암의 아버지 라함을 낳았다. 레겜은 삼매를 낳았다.	And Shema begat Raham, the father of Jorkoam: and Rekem begat Shammai.
45	삼매의 아들은 마온이다. 마온은 벳술의 아버지이다.	And the son of Shammai was Maon: and Maon was the father of Beth–zur.
46	갈렙의 다른 아내인 에바는 하란, 모사, 가세스를 낳았다. 하란은 가세스를 낳았다.	And Ephah, Caleb’s concubine, bare Haran, and Moza, and Gazez: and Haran begat Gazez.
47	야대의 아들은 레겜, 요담, 게산, 벨렛, 에바, 사압이다.	And the sons of Jahdai; Regem, and Jotham, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.
48	갈렙의 다른 아내인 마아가는 세벨과 디르하나를 낳았다.	Maachah, Caleb’s concubine, bare Sheber, and Tirhanah.
49	마아가는 맛만나의 아버지 사압도 낳았다. 막베나와 기브아의 아버지인 스와도 낳았다. 갈렙의 딸은 악사이다.	She bare also Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbenah, and the father of Gibea: and the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.
50	이들이 바로 갈렙의 자손이다. 에브랏의 맏아들 후르의 아들은 기럇여아림의 아버지 소발이다.	These were the sons of Caleb the son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah; Shobal the father of Kirjath–jearim,
51	후르의 아들은 또 베들레헴의 아버지 살마와 벳가델의 아버지 하렙이다.	Salma the father of Beth–lehem, Hareph the father of Beth–gader.
52	기럇여아림의 아버지 소발의 자손은 하로에와, 므누홋 사람 절반이다.	And Shobal the father of Kirjath–jearim had sons; Haroeh, and half of the Manahethites.
53	기럇여아림 가문에는 이델 사람, 붓 사람, 수맛 사람, 미스라 사람이 있었다. 이들에게서 소라 사람과 에스다올 사람이 나왔다.	And the families of Kirjath–jearim; the Ithrites, and the Puhites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zareathites, and the Eshtaulites.
54	살마의 자손은 베들레헴, 느도바 사람, 아드롯베됴압, 마나핫 사람 절반, 소라 사람이다.	The sons of Salma; Beth–lehem, and the Netophathites, Ataroth, the house of Joab, and half of the Manahethites, the Zorites.
55	야베스에 사는 소페르 사람들의 가문에는 디랏 사람, 시므앗 사람, 수갓 사람이 있었다. 이들이 가인 사람이다. 레갑 집안의 아버지 함맛에게서 나온 사람들이다.	And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.
