절	새한글성경 (2024)	King James Version
1	그러므로 여러분은 사랑받는 자녀들답게 하나님을 그대로 따라 하는 사람이 되십시오.	Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
2	여러분은 사랑 안에서 살아가십시오. 그리스도께서도 우리를 사랑하셔서 우리를 위해서 바칠제물과 희생제물로 스스로를 하나님께 내드려 향기로운 향내가 되신 것처럼 말입니다.	And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
3	음란한 짓과 온갖 더러움이나 탐욕은 여러분 가운데서 입에 담지도 말아야 합니다. 성도들에게 어울리게끔 말입니다.	But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
4	외설적인 말과 바보 같은 말이나 함부로 하는 우스갯소리, 이런 것들은 마땅하지 않습니다. 오히려 감사의 말을 하십시오.	Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
5	이것을 여러분은 똑똑히 알고 계시니까요. 음란한 짓을 하는 사람이나 더러운 짓을 하는 사람이나 탐욕을 부리는 사람, 곧 우상을 섬기는 사람은, 누구도 그리스도와 하나님의 나라에서 상속을 받지 못한다는 것을요.	For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6	빛의 자녀답게 살아가라 아무도 여러분을 빈말로 속이지 못하게 하시기 바랍니다. 이런 일들 때문에 하나님의 노하심이 불순종의 아들딸들 위로 내려오니까요.	Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
7	그러므로 여러분은 그들과 한통속이 되지 마십시오.	Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
8	여러분이 한때는 어두움이었지만, 이제는 주님 안에서 빛이니까요. 여러분은 빛의 자녀답게 살아가십시오.	For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
9	― 빛의 열매는 모든 선과 의와 진리에 있으니까요. ―	(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
10	여러분은 무엇이 주님 마음에 드는 일인지 검증하십시오.	Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
11	열매 없는 어둠의 일들에 함께 참여하지 말고, 오히려 그것들을 들추어내십시오.	And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
12	그들이 몰래 하는 일들은 입에 담기에도 창피한 것들입니다.	For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
13	그러나 빛이 모든 것을 들추어내면 그것들이 환히 드러나게 됩니다.	But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
14	환히 드러나는 것은 모두 빛에 속하게 되니까요. 그래서 이런 말씀이 있습니다. “깨어 일어나라, 잠자는 사람아, 죽은 사람들 가운데서 일어나라. 그대에게 나타나 비추어 주실 것이다, 그리스도께서!”	Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
15	그러므로 여러분은 어떻게 살아가야 할지 찬찬히 살펴보십시오. 지혜롭지 못한 사람처럼 살지 말고 지혜로운 사람처럼 사십시오.	See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16	기회를 잘 이용하십시오. 시절이 악하기 때문입니다.	Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17	이런 까닭에 분별없는 사람이 되지 말고, 주님의 뜻이 무엇인지 깨달으십시오.	Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
18	포도주에 취하지 마십시오. 그러면 흥청망청하게 됩니다. 오히려 성령으로 가득 채워지십시오.	And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
19	시와 찬송과 영적인 노래로 서로 말하십시오. 여러분의 마음으로 주님께 노래하고 찬송하십시오.	Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20	언제나 모든 일에 대해 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 하나님 아버지께 감사드리십시오.	Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
21	아내들과 남편들에게 하는 권유 그리스도를 두려워함으로 서로 자기를 상대방의 아래에 두십시오.	Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
22	아내들은 주님께 하듯이 자기 남편들에게 그렇게 하십시오.	Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23	남편은 아내의 머리이기 때문입니다. 마치 그리스도께서 교회의 머리가 되시는 것과도 같습니다. 바로 그분이 몸의 구원자이십니다.	For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24	교회가 스스로를 그리스도 아래에 두듯이 아내들도 남편들에게 모든 면에서 그렇게 하십시오.	Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25	남편 여러분, 아내를 사랑하십시오. 그리스도께서도 교회를 사랑하셔서 교회를 위해 스스로를 내주셨듯이요.	Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26	그렇게 하신 것은 교회를 말씀 안에서 물로 깨끗이 씻어 거룩하게 하시기 위해서였습니다.	That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27	몸소 교회를 자기 곁에 영광스럽게 세우시기 위해서였습니다. 교회에 점이나 주름이나 그와 같은 것이 없이 말입니다. 오히려 교회가 거룩하고 흠잡힐 데 없도록 하시기 위해서였습니다.	That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28	이와 같이 남편들도 자기 아내를 자기 몸과 같이 사랑하는 것이 마땅합니다. 자기 아내를 사랑하는 사람은 자기 자신을 사랑하는 셈입니다.	So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29	여태껏 자기 자신의 몸을 미워한 사람은 아무도 없습니다. 오히려 그것을 살뜰히 보살피고 아낍니다. 그리스도께서도 교회를 그렇게 하시듯이요.	For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30	우리는 그분 몸의 부분들이기 때문입니다.	For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31	“이런 이유로 남편 될 사람이 아버지와 어머니를 떠나 자기 아내 될 사람과 어우러져서, 그 둘이 하나의 몸이 될 것”입니다.	For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32	이 비밀이 큽니다. 그런데 나는, 그리스도를 두고 또 교회를 두고 말하는 것입니다.	This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33	그러나 여러분은, 한 분 한 분 저마다 이렇게 자기 아내를 자기 자신처럼 사랑해야 합니다. 아내는 남편을 존중해야 합니다.	Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
