절	새한글성경 (2024)	King James Version
1	자녀들과 부모들에게 하는 권유 자녀 여러분, 여러분의 부모님께 주님 안에서 순종하십시오. 이것이 올바른 일이니까요.	Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2	“너의 아버지와 어머니를 받들어 모셔라.” 이것은 약속을 포함하고 있는 첫 번째 계명입니다.	Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
3	그 약속은 “네가 잘되고 땅 위에 오래 살 것이다.” 한 것입니다.	That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
4	아버지 여러분, 여러분의 자녀를 화나게 하지 마십시오. 오히려 그들을 주님의 방식으로 훈계도 하고 타이르기도 하면서 잘 키우십시오.	And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
5	종들과 주인들에게 하는 권유 종 여러분, 딴맘 품지 말고 두려움과 떨림으로 땅에 있는 주인에게 순종하십시오. 그리스도께 하듯이요.	Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
6	사람을 기쁘게 하려는 것처럼 보는 눈이 있을 때에만 그렇게 하지는 마십시오. 도리어 그리스도의 종처럼 목숨 다해 하나님의 뜻을 실행하십시오.	Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
7	기꺼이 종으로 섬기십시오. 사람들이 아니라 주님께 하듯이요.	With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
8	여러분이 알고 계시니까요. 저마다 선한 일을 하면, 종이든 자유인이든 그것에 대해 주님으로부터 되돌려받게 될 것이라는 것을요.	Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
9	주인 여러분, 여러분도 종들한테 마찬가지 방식으로 대하십시오. 위협을 그만두십시오. 여러분이 알고 계시니까요. 그들과 여러분의 주인은 하늘에 계시며, 그분은 겉모습을 보고 사람을 봐주거나 차별하시지 않는다는 것을요.	And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.
10	하나님이 주시는 것으로 완전히 무장하라 끝으로 말씀드립니다. 여러분은 주님 안에서 그분의 막강한 힘으로 능력 있게 되십시오.	Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11	하나님이 주시는 갑옷으로 완전히 무장하십시오. 그래서 마귀의 계략에 맞서 여러분이 버텨 낼 수 있도록 하십시오.	Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12	우리가 맞서 싸울 상대는 피와 살을 가진 사람이 아니기 때문입니다. 도리어 지배자들, 권력자들, 이 어둠의 세상을 휘어잡고 있는 자들, 하늘에 있는 악한 영들이기 때문입니다.	For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13	그렇기 때문에 여러분은 하나님이 주시는 무기로 완전한 무장을 갖추십시오. 그래야만 여러분이 악한 날에 맞설 수 있고, 모든 것을 다 이루고 나서 당당히 서 있게 될 것입니다.	Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14	그러므로 여러분은 당당히 서 있으십시오. 여러분의 허리를 진리로 동여매고, 또 정의를 가슴갑옷으로 덧입고서요.	Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15	발에는 평화의 복음을 전할 준비로 샌들을 신으십시오.	And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16	어떤 상황에서라도 믿음의 방패를 챙기십시오. 그것으로 악한 자의 모든 불화살을 막아 꺼 버릴 수 있을 것입니다.	Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17	구원의 투구를 받아 쓰고, 또 성령님의 칼 곧 하나님의 말씀을 받아 무장하십시오.	And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18	온갖 기도와 매달리는 기도로 어느 때든지 성령님 안에서 기도하십시오. 이를 위해 깨어 있으십시오. 끈기를 다해 견디면서, 또 모든 성도를 위해 매달려 기도하면서요.	Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19	나를 위해서도 기도해 주십시오. 내 입이 열려 말씀을 받고, 복음의 비밀을 거리낌 없이 알릴 수 있도록요.	And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20	이 복음을 위해서 내가 특사로 일하다가 쇠사슬에 묶여 있습니다. 복음 안에서 내가 마땅히 말해야 하는 대로 거리낌 없이 말할 수 있도록 기도해 주십시오.	For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
21	끝맺는 말과 축복 내가 어떻게 지내는지 무엇을 하고 있는지 여러분도 아시도록 두기고가 여러분에게 다 알려 드릴 것입니다. 그는 주님 안에서 사랑받는 형제이고 믿음직한 섬김이입니다.	But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:
22	그를 내가 여러분한테 보낸 것은 바로 이 일을 위해서입니다. 곧 우리가 어떻게 지내는지 여러분에게 알리고, 여러분의 마음을 위로해 주기 위해서입니다.	Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.
23	평화가 형제자매들에게! 또 믿음과 함께 사랑도! 하나님 아버지와 주 예수 그리스도께로부터 내리기를 빕니다!	Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
24	은혜가, 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 변함없이 사랑하는 모든 분들과 함께하기를 빕니다!	Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. Written from Rome unto the Ephesians by Tychicus.
