절	새한글성경 (2024)	King James Version
1	모압 땅에서 백성에게 하신 언약 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하여 모압 땅에서 이스라엘 사람들과 함께 맺으신 언약의 말씀은 이러하다. 호렙에서 맺으신 언약에 덧붙인 것이다.	These are the words of the covenant, which the Lord commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.
2	모세가 온 이스라엘을 불러 그들에게 말했다. “그대들이야말로 여호와께서 그대들의 눈앞에서 이집트 땅에서 하신 모든 일을 보았습니다. 파라오와 그의 모든 신하에게, 또 그의 온 땅에 하신 일을요.	And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that the Lord did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land;
3	그대들이 두 눈으로 본 것처럼 큰 시험들과 증표들과 엄청난 기적들을요.	The great temptations which thine eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles:
4	그러나 오늘까지 여호와께서 그대들에게 깨닫는 마음과 보는 눈과 듣는 귀는 주지 않으셨습니다.	Yet the Lord hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.
5	‘내가 너희를 40년 동안 광야에서 걷게 했다. 너희의 몸에 걸친 옷이 다 닳지 않았고, 너희의 샌들이 다 닳지 않았다.	And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot.
6	너희는 빵을 먹지 못했고, 포도주도 맥주도 마시지 못했다. 나 여호와가 너희의 하나님인 것을 너희가 알도록 한 것이다.’	Ye have not eaten bread, neither have ye drunk wine or strong drink: that ye might know that I am the Lord your God.
7	그대들이 이곳에 이르자, 헤스본 임금 시혼과 바산 임금 옥이 나와서 우리를 맞아 싸웠습니다. 그렇지만 우리가 그들을 쳐부수었습니다.	And when ye came unto this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, came out against us unto battle, and we smote them:
8	그러고는 그들의 땅을 빼앗아 르우벤 사람들, 갓 사람들, 므낫세 지파 절반에게 주었습니다.	And we took their land, and gave it for an inheritance unto the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half tribe of Manasseh.
9	그대들은 이 언약의 말씀을 따라 그대로 하도록 하십시오. 그러면 그대들이 무슨 일을 하든지 잘될 것입니다.	Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may prosper in all that ye do.
10	그대들은 오늘 모두 여호와 그대들의 하나님 앞에 서 있습니다. 그대들의 지파의 어른들, 원로들과 행정관들, 모든 이스라엘 사람도요.	Ye stand this day all of you before the Lord your God; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, with all the men of Israel,
11	그대들의 어린이들, 그대들의 여자들, 그대의 진영 가운데 있는 나그네, 그대를 위해 장작을 패거나 물을 긷는 사람까지도요.	Your little ones, your wives, and thy stranger that is in thy camp, from the hewer of thy wood unto the drawer of thy water:
12	그래서 여호와 그대의 하나님과, 저주가 덧붙은 언약에 들어가려고 합니다. 그 언약을 여호와 그대의 하나님이 오늘 그대와 함께 맺으십니다.	That thou shouldest enter into covenant with the Lord thy God, and into his oath, which the Lord thy God maketh with thee this day:
13	곧 여호와께서 오늘 그대를 그분의 백성으로 세우시고, 그분은 친히 그대의 하나님이 되시겠다는 것입니다. 그대에게 말씀하신 대로이고, 그대의 조상들 곧 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 굳게 약속하신 대로입니다.	That he may establish thee to day for a people unto himself, and that he may be unto thee a God, as he hath said unto thee, and as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
14	‘내가 너희들과만 이 저주가 덧붙은, 이 언약을 맺는 것이 아니다.’	Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath;
15	여호와 우리 하나님 앞에 오늘 여기 우리와 함께 서 있는 사람들과도 맺으십니다. 오늘 여기 우리와 함께 있지 않는 사람들과도요.	But with him that standeth here with us this day before the Lord our God, and also with him that is not here with us this day:
16	그대들이야말로 알고 있습니다. 우리는 이집트 땅에서 살았습니다. 그러다가 여러 나라 한가운데로 지나왔습니다. 그 여러 나라를 그대들이 지나왔습니다.	(For ye know how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt; and how we came through the nations which ye passed by;
17	그때 그대들은 그곳 사람들에게 있는 밉살스러운 것들 곧 그들의 우상들을 보았습니다. 나무나 돌, 은이나 금으로 만든 것이었습니다.	And ye have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them:)
18	오늘 그대들 가운데서는 남자든 여자든, 가문이든 지파이든 조심하십시오. 여호와 우리 하나님에게서 마음이 돌아서서 그런 여러 나라의 신들을 섬기러 가지 않도록요. 그대들 가운데서는 독을 머금고 있거나 쓴 열매를 맺는 뿌리가 없도록 조심하십시오.	Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the Lord our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;
19	그런데 이렇게 이 저주의 말씀을 듣고도 스스로 행복하다고 뽐내면서 마음속으로 이렇게 말할 수 있습니다. ‘내가 내 마음의 고집대로 걸어가서, 물 댄 땅이 목마른 땅과 마찬가지로 사라져 버리더라도, 난 괜찮을 거야.’	And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:
20	그러면 여호와께서 그를 용서하려 하지 않으실 것입니다. 여호와의 노여움과 질투가 그 사람에게 불타오를 것입니다. 그리고 이 책에 적힌 온갖 저주가 그에게 닥칠 것입니다. 여호와께서 그 사람의 이름을 하늘 아래에서 지워 버리실 것입니다.	The Lord will not spare him, but then the anger of the Lord and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the Lord shall blot out his name from under heaven.
21	여호와께서 그를 이스라엘의 모든 지파에서 갈라내어 재난을 겪게 하실 것입니다. 이 가르침의 책에 적힌 언약에 덧붙은 온갖 저주대로 하실 것입니다.	And the Lord shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law:
22	그대들 뒤에 나타날 그대들 자녀의 나중 세대가 말할 것입니다. 그들과 또 먼 땅에서 올 다른 나라 사람이 이 땅에 닥친 여러 재앙을 볼 것입니다. 여호와께서 이 땅을 병들게 하신 모습도요.	So that the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which the Lord hath laid upon it;
23	이 온 땅이 불타 버려 유황과 소금뿐일 것입니다. 거기에는 씨도 뿌릴 수 없고, 싹도 트지 않을 것입니다. 풀 한 포기 나지 않을 것입니다. 여호와가 노여움과 분노로 뒤엎어 버리신 소돔과 고모라, 아드마와 스보임처럼 되어 버릴 것입니다.	And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the Lord overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:
24	모든 민족이 말할 것입니다. ‘여호와가 이 땅에 이렇게 한 까닭이 무엇인가? 그 노여움이 이처럼 엄청나게 뜨거웠던 까닭은 무엇인가?’	Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath the Lord done thus unto this land? what meaneth the heat of this great anger?
25	또 말할 것입니다. ‘그들이 언약을 저버린 탓이구나. 그들을 이집트 땅에서 이끌어 낼 때 여호와 그들 조상들의 하나님이 그들과 함께 맺은 언약을!	Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the Lord God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt:
26	그들이 가서 다른 신들을 섬기고 그것들에게 엎드려 절한 탓이야. 그들이 알지 못하던 신들이고, 그들에게 나누어 주지 않은 신들이었는데!	For they went and served other gods, and worshipped them, gods whom they knew not, and whom he had not given unto them:
27	그래서 여호와가 이 땅을 향한 노여움으로 불타올라서 이 책에 적힌 온갖 저주가 닥치게 하였구나.	And the anger of the Lord was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book:
28	여호와가 노여워하고 분노하고 크게 화내어, 그들을 그들의 땅에서 쫓아내 버렸구나. 오늘 우리가 보듯이, 다른 땅으로 내보내 버렸구나.’	And the Lord rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.
29	감춰진 것은 여호와 우리 하나님을 위한 것입니다. 드러난 것은 길이길이 우리와 우리 자손을 위한 것으로, 이 가르침의 모든 말씀을 실행하게 하기 위함입니다.”	The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
