1	쫓겨나게 되었다면 하나님께 돌아오십시오 “내가 오늘 그대 앞에서 일러 주는 복과 저주의 이 모든 말씀이 그대에게 이루어진다고 합시다. 그러면 그런 말씀을 마음에 다시 새기도록 하십시오. 여호와 그대의 하나님이 그대를 쫓아내 흩어지게 하신 그 모든 나라 사람 가운데서요.	And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath driven thee,
2	그때 그대는 여호와 그대의 하나님께로 돌아와서 그분의 목소리를 듣도록 하십시오. 내가 오늘 그대에게 명령하는 꼭 그대로요. 그대와 그대의 아들딸이 온 마음과 온 정성으로 그렇게 하도록 하십시오.	And shalt return unto the Lord thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;
3	그러면 여호와 그대의 하나님이 그대의 운명을 바꾸어 주시고, 그대에게 자비를 베풀어 주실 것입니다. 돌이키실 것입니다. 그래서 여호와 그대의 하나님이 그대 이스라엘을 흩어 버리신 모든 백성 가운데서 모아들이실 것입니다.	That then the Lord thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath scattered thee.
4	그대 가운데 쫓겨난 사람이 하늘 끝에 가 있더라도, 거기서부터 여호와 그대의 하나님이 그대를 모아들이실 것입니다. 거기서부터 그대를 데려오실 것입니다.	If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the Lord thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:
5	여호와 그대의 하나님이 그대를 그대의 조상들이 차지했던 그 땅으로 들어오게 하셔서, 그대가 그 땅을 차지할 것입니다. 그분이 그대에게 잘해 주셔서, 그대가 그대의 조상들보다 더 불어나게 해 주실 것입니다.	And the Lord thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.
6	그리고 여호와 그대의 하나님이 그대의 마음과 그대 후손의 마음을 덮은 살가죽을 잘라 내 주실 것입니다. 그래서 그대가 여호와 그대의 하나님을 그대의 온 마음과 온 정성으로 사랑하여 살아남게 하실 것입니다.	And the Lord thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.
7	여호와 그대의 하나님이 이 모든 저주를 그대의 적들과 그대를 미워하여 뒤쫓는 사람들에게 내리실 것입니다.	And the Lord thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.
8	그대는 돌이켜서 여호와의 목소리를 듣고, 내가 오늘 그대에게 알려 주는 그분의 명령을 모두 실행하도록 하십시오.	And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the Lord, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.
9	그러면 그대가 무슨 일에 손대든지, 여호와 그대의 하나님이 넘쳐 나게 해 주실 것입니다. 그대 몸의 열매와 집짐승의 열매와 땅의 열매가 넘쳐 나 행복하게 해 주실 것입니다. 그대의 조상들을 보고 기뻐하신 것처럼, 여호와께서 그대가 행복한 것을 보고 다시 기뻐하실 것이거든요.	And the Lord thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the Lord will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:
10	그대가 여호와 그대의 하나님의 목소리를 듣고 이 가르침의 책에 적힌 그분의 명령들과 규정들을 따르는 것이니까요. 그대가 그대의 온 마음과 온 정성으로 여호와 그대의 하나님께로 돌아오는 것이니까요.	If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
11	참으로, 내가 오늘 그대에게 내리는 이 명령은 그대에게 어렵지 않고, 멀리 있지도 않습니다.	For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
12	그 명령은 하늘에 있지 않기 때문입니다. ‘누가 우리를 위해 하늘로 올라가서 그 명령을 받아다가 우리에게 들려줄까? 그러면 우리가 그대로 실행할 텐데.’ 하고 말할 것이 아닙니다.	It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
13	바다 건너편에 있지도 않기 때문입니다. ‘누가 우리를 위해 바다 건너편으로 건너가서 그 명령을 받아다가 우리에게 들려줄까? 그러면 우리가 그대로 실행할 텐데.’ 하고 말할 것이 아닙니다.	Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
14	그 말씀은 그대에게 아주 가까이 있기 때문입니다. 그대의 입에 있고, 그대의 마음속에 있어서 실행할 수 있습니다.”	But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.
15	삶을 골라 오래 사십시오 “보십시오, 내가 오늘 그대 앞에 삶과 좋은 것, 죽음과 나쁜 것을 둡니다.	See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;
16	내가 오늘 그대에게 명령하는 것은 여호와 그대의 하나님을 사랑하라는 것입니다. 그래서 그분의 길로 걷고, 그분의 명령들과 규정들과 법령들을 따르라는 것입니다. 그러면 그대가 살아남아 불어날 것입니다. 여호와 그대의 하나님이 그대에게 복 주실 것입니다. 그대가 들어가 차지할 땅에서요.	In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
17	그대가 마음을 바꾸어, 듣지 않는다고 합시다. 그래서 꼬임에 빠져 다른 신들에게 엎드려 절하고 그 신들을 섬긴다고 합시다.	But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;
18	내가 오늘 그대에게 똑똑히 말해 둡니다. 그대는 반드시 망해 버릴 것입니다. 그 땅에서 오래 살지 못할 것입니다. 요르단을 건너가서 차지할 땅에서요.	I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.
19	오늘 그대들에게 불리하도록 내가 하늘과 땅을 불러내 증언하게 합니다. 삶과 죽음, 복과 저주를 그대 앞에 내가 두었습니다. 그대가 삶을 골라야 그대와 그대 후손이 살아남을 것입니다.	I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
20	여호와 그대의 하나님을 사랑하고, 그분의 목소리를 듣고, 그분께 붙어 있도록 하십시오. 그분이야말로 그대의 생명이시기 때문입니다. 그대의 살날을 길어지게 해 주실 것이기 때문입니다. 여호와께서 그대의 조상들 곧 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 주시기로 굳게 약속하신 땅에서요.”	That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
