1	요르단을 건너거든 돌에 말씀을 적으십시오 모세가 이스라엘의 원로들이 함께한 가운데 백성에게 명령했다. “내가 오늘 그대들에게 내리는 모든 명령을 따르십시오.	And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandments which I command you this day.
2	그대들이 요르단을 건너 여호와 그대의 하나님이 그대에게 주시는 땅으로 들어가는 날이 올 것입니다. 그때 큰 돌을 여럿 세우고 그 돌에 석회를 바르도록 하십시오.	And it shall be on the day when ye shall pass over Jordan unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set thee up great stones, and plaister them with plaister:
3	요르단을 건넌 뒤에 이 가르침의 모든 말씀을 그 위에 적도록 하십시오. 그러면 여호와 그대의 하나님이 그대에게 주시는 땅으로 그대가 들어갈 것입니다. 젖이 흐르고 꿀이 있는 땅으로요. 여호와 그대 조상들의 하나님이 그대에게 말씀하신 대로 들어갈 것입니다.	And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, a land that floweth with milk and honey; as the Lord God of thy fathers hath promised thee.
4	그대들이 요르단을 건넌 뒤에는 이 돌들을 세우도록 하십시오. 내가 오늘 그대들에게 명령하는 대로, 에발산에다가요. 그러고는 그 돌들에 석회를 바르도록 하십시오.	Therefore it shall be when ye be gone over Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaister them with plaister.
5	또 거기서 여호와 그대의 하나님을 위해 돌제단을 하나 만들도록 하십시오. 쇠 연장을 그 돌들에 휘두르지는 마십시오.	And there shalt thou build an altar unto the Lord thy God, an altar of stones: thou shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them.
6	다듬지 않은 돌들로 여호와 그대의 하나님의 제단을 만들도록 하십시오. 그런 다음에 그 위에 여호와 그대의 하나님께 다태우는제물(번제물)을 올리도록 하십시오.	Thou shalt build the altar of the Lord thy God of whole stones: and thou shalt offer burnt offerings thereon unto the Lord thy God:
7	뒤이어 평화제물(화목제물)을 잡아 바치고는 거기서 먹도록 하십시오. 그대는 여호와 그대의 하나님 앞에서 즐거워하도록 하십시오.	And thou shalt offer peace offerings, and shalt eat there, and rejoice before the Lord thy God.
8	이 가르침의 모든 말씀을 돌들에 똑똑히 잘 적어 두도록 하십시오.”	And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.
9	여호와의 목소리를 들으십시오 모세가 레위 사람 제사장들이 함께한 가운데 온 이스라엘에게 말했다. “그대 이스라엘, 조용히 하고 들으십시오! 오늘 그대는 여호와 그대의 하나님의 백성이 되었습니다.	And Moses and the priests the Levites spake unto all Israel, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Israel; this day thou art become the people of the Lord thy God.
10	여호와 그대의 하나님의 목소리를 듣고, 내가 오늘 그대에게 알려 주는 그분의 명령들과 규정들을 실행하십시오.”	Thou shalt therefore obey the voice of the Lord thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.
11	레위 사람들의 저주 선포에 아멘이라고 하십시오 모세가 그날 백성에게 명령했다.	And Moses charged the people the same day, saying,
12	“그대들이 요르단을 건넌 뒤에, 백성을 축복하는 말이 선포될 때 그리심산 위에 서 있어야 할 지파들은 이러합니다. 시므온, 레위, 유다, 잇사갈, 요셉, 베냐민 지파입니다.	These shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people, when ye are come over Jordan; Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin:
13	저주하는 말이 선포될 때 에발산 위에 서 있어야 할 지파들은 이러합니다. 르우벤, 갓, 아셀, 스불론, 단, 납달리 지파입니다.	And these shall stand upon mount Ebal to curse; Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
14	그런 다음에 레위 사람들이 온 이스라엘 사람에게 소리 높여 말하도록 하십시오.	And the Levites shall speak, and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice,
15	‘여호와께서 역겨워하시는 우상, 곧 공예가의 손으로 새기거나 부어서 된 우상을 만들어서 몰래 두는 사람은 저주받을 것입니다.’ 그러면 온 백성이 말을 받아 ‘아멘!’ 하도록 하십시오.	Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the Lord, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.
16	‘자신의 아버지와 어머니를 하찮게 대하는 사람은 저주받을 것입니다.’ 그러면 온 백성이 말을 받아 ‘아멘!’ 하도록 하십시오.	Cursed be he that setteth light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.
17	‘이웃 사이의 경계를 표시하는 돌을 옮기는 사람은 저주받을 것입니다.’ 그러면 온 백성이 말을 받아 ‘아멘!’ 하도록 하십시오.	Cursed be he that removeth his neighbour’s landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen.
18	‘시각장애인을 잘못된 길로 이끄는 사람은 저주받을 것입니다.’ 그러면 온 백성이 말을 받아 ‘아멘!’ 하도록 하십시오.	Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, Amen.
19	‘나그네나 부모 없는 아이나 남편 여읜 여자의 재판을 굽게 하는 사람은 저주받을 것입니다.’ 그러면 온 백성이 말을 받아 ‘아멘!’ 하도록 하십시오.	Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.
20	‘아버지의 아내와 함께 눕는 사람은 저주받을 것입니다. 아버지의 옷자락을 들추어냈기 때문입니다.’ 그러면 온 백성이 말을 받아 ‘아멘!’ 하도록 하십시오.	Cursed be he that lieth with his father’s wife; because he uncovereth his father’s skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen.
21	‘어떤 짐승하고든 함께 눕는 사람은 저주받을 것입니다.’ 그러면 온 백성이 말을 받아 ‘아멘!’ 하도록 하십시오.	Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Amen.
22	‘자기 아버지의 딸이든 자기 어머니의 딸이든 자기 누이와 함께 눕는 사람은 저주받을 것입니다.’ 그러면 온 백성이 말을 받아 ‘아멘!’ 하도록 하십시오.	Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.
23	‘장모와 함께 눕는 사람은 저주받을 것입니다.’ 그러면 온 백성이 말을 받아 ‘아멘!’ 하도록 하십시오.	Cursed be he that lieth with his mother in law. And all the people shall say, Amen.
24	‘이웃을 몰래 쳐 죽인 사람은 저주받을 것입니다.’ 그러면 온 백성이 말을 받아 ‘아멘!’ 하도록 하십시오.	Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbour secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen.
25	‘뇌물을 받고 사람을 쳐 죽여 죄 없는 사람의 피를 쏟은 사람은 저주받을 것입니다.’ 그러면 온 백성이 말을 받아 ‘아멘!’ 하도록 하십시오.	Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.
26	‘이 가르침의 여러 말씀을 실행하여 세우지 않는 사람은 저주받을 것입니다.’ 그러면 온 백성이 말을 받아 ‘아멘!’ 하도록 하십시오.”	Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.
