1	다윗이 므비보셋을 돌봐 주다 다윗이 말했다. “사울 집안에 아직 남은 사람이 있습니까? 그렇다면 요나단을 생각해서 그 사람한테 잘해 주려고 합니다.”	And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?
2	사울 집안에 종이 한 사람 있었다. 이름은 시바였다. 사람들이 그를 불러서 다윗에게 데려왔다. 임금이 그에게 말했다. “그대가 시바요?” 그가 대답했다. “임금님의 종인 저, 여기 있습니다.”	And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba. And when they had called him unto David, the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servant is he.
3	임금이 말했다. “혹시 아직도 사울 집안의 사람이 있소? 그렇다면 그 사람한테 하나님의 한결같은 사랑을 베풀려고 하오.” 시바가 임금에게 말했다. “아직 요나단의 아들 하나가 있습니다. 두 발에 장애가 있습니다.”	And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.
4	임금이 그에게 말했다. “그 사람 어디 있소?” 시바가 임금에게 말했다. “저기, 암미엘의 아들 마길의 집에 있습니다. 로드발에 있지요.”	And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lo–debar.
5	다윗 임금은 사람을 보내 로드발에 있는 암미엘의 아들 마길의 집에서 그를 데려왔다.	Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lo–debar.
6	요나단의 아들이자 사울의 손자인 므비보셋이 다윗에게 왔다. 므비보셋은 엎드려 절했다. 다윗이 말했다. “므비보셋!” 므비보셋이 말했다. “임금님의 종인 저, 여기 있습니다.”	Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold thy servant!
7	다윗이 그에게 말했다. “두려워하지 말게. 내가 그대의 아버지 요나단을 생각해서 그대한테 반드시 잘해 주고 싶거든. 그대의 할아버지 사울의 밭을 그대한테 모두 돌려주겠네. 그대는 늘 나의 밥상에서 밥을 먹도록 하게.”	And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father’s sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.
8	그가 엎드려 절하며 말했다. “임금님의 종인 제가 무엇이라고 죽은 개나 다름없는 저를 돌봐 주십니까?”	And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?
9	임금은 사울의 아랫사람이었던 시바를 불러서 말했다. “사울과 그의 온 집안이 갖고 있던 것을 모두 너의 윗분의 손자에게 준다.	Then the king called to Ziba, Saul’s servant, and said unto him, I have given unto thy master’s son all that pertained to Saul and to all his house.
10	그러니 너는 그를 위해 농사를 지어라. 너의 아들들과 종들과 함께 일해서 거두어들여라. 너의 윗분의 손자에게 먹을거리가 끊어지지 않도록 해라. 그렇지만 너의 윗분의 손자인 므비보셋은 늘 나의 밥상에서 밥을 먹을 것이다.” 시바에게는 15명의 아들과 20명의 종이 있었다.	Thou therefore, and thy sons, and thy servants, shall till the land for him, and thou shalt bring in the fruits, that thy master’s son may have food to eat: but Mephibosheth thy master’s son shall eat bread alway at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.
11	시바가 임금에게 말했다. “저의 주인이신 임금님께서 임금님의 종인 저에게 명령하시는 그대로 임금님의 종인 제가 다 하겠습니다.” 므비보셋은 다른 왕자들처럼 임금의 밥상에서 밥을 먹게 되었다.	Then said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king hath commanded his servant, so shall thy servant do. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table, as one of the king’s sons.
12	므비보셋에게는 어린 아들이 하나 있었다. 이름은 미가였다. 시바의 집에 사는 사람은 모두 므비보셋의 종이 되었다.	And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Micha. And all that dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants unto Mephibosheth.
13	므비보셋은 늘 임금의 밥상에서 밥을 먹었기 때문에 예루살렘에 살고 있었다. 그는 두 발에 장애가 있었다.	So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem: for he did eat continually at the king’s table; and was lame on both his feet.
