1	나누어 받은 땅이 다른 지파로 넘어가지 않게 하라 길르앗 가문의 아버지 쪽 집안 어른들이 나아왔다. 길르앗은 마길의 아들이자 므낫세의 손자로 요셉 사람들의 가문 사람이었다. 그들이 모세와 이스라엘 사람들의 아버지 쪽 어른들이자 우두머리들 앞에서 말했다.	And the chief fathers of the families of the children of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of the sons of Joseph, came near, and spake before Moses, and before the princes, the chief fathers of the children of Israel:
2	“여호와께서 어르신에게 명령하시기를, 이스라엘 사람들에게 제비를 뽑아 땅을 나누어 주라고 하셨습니다. 어르신이 여호와께 받은 명령은, 우리의 형제 슬로브핫이 나누어 받은 땅을 그의 딸들에게 주라는 것입니다.	And they said, The Lord commanded my lord to give the land for an inheritance by lot to the children of Israel: and my lord was commanded by the Lord to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother unto his daughters.
3	그 딸들이 이스라엘 다른 지파 남자의 아내가 된다고 합시다. 그러면 그 딸들이 물려받을 땅은 우리 조상들이 나누어 받은 땅에서 빠져나가서, 딸들의 남편 지파의 땅에 덧붙을 것입니다. 그러면 제비 뽑아 나누어 받은 우리 지파의 땅은 그만큼 줄어들 것입니다.	And if they be married to any of the sons of the other tribes of the children of Israel, then shall their inheritance be taken from the inheritance of our fathers, and shall be put to the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they are received: so shall it be taken from the lot of our inheritance.
4	이스라엘 사람들에게 해방의해(희년)가 이르면, 딸들의 남편 지파의 땅은 늘어날 것입니다. 딸들이 물려받을 땅이, 우리 지파 조상들이 나누어 받은 땅에서 빠져나갈 것입니다.”	And when the jubile of the children of Israel shall be, then shall their inheritance be put unto the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they are received: so shall their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.
5	모세가 여호와의 명령에 따라 이스라엘 사람들에게 명령했다. “요셉 지파 사람들의 말이 옳습니다.	And Moses commanded the children of Israel according to the word of the Lord, saying, The tribe of the sons of Joseph hath said well.
6	여호와께서 슬로브핫의 딸들을 두고 명령하신 말씀은 이렇습니다. ‘그들이 자기 눈에 드는 남자의 아내가 될 수 있다. 다만 아버지 쪽 지파 가문에 속한 남자의 아내가 되어야 한다.	This is the thing which the Lord doth command concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, Let them marry to whom they think best; only to the family of the tribe of their father shall they marry.
7	그러면 이스라엘 사람들이 나누어 받은 땅이 이 지파에서 저 지파로 넘어가지 않을 것이다. 이스라엘 사람들은 지파의 조상들이 나누어 받은 땅을 저마다 굳게 지켜야 한다.	So shall not the inheritance of the children of Israel remove from tribe to tribe: for every one of the children of Israel shall keep himself to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers.
8	이스라엘 사람들이 지파별로 나누어 받은 땅을 물려받은 딸은 누구든, 친정아버지 지파에 속한 가문 남자의 아내가 되어야 한다. 그러면 이스라엘 사람들은 저마다 조상들이 나누어 받은 땅을 계속 차지할 수 있을 것이다.	And every daughter, that possesseth an inheritance in any tribe of the children of Israel, shall be wife unto one of the family of the tribe of her father, that the children of Israel may enjoy every man the inheritance of his fathers.
9	나누어 받은 땅이 이 지파에서 저 지파로 넘어가지 않을 것이다. 이스라엘 지파 사람들은 나누어 받은 땅을 저마다 굳게 지켜야 한다.’”	Neither shall the inheritance remove from one tribe to another tribe; but every one of the tribes of the children of Israel shall keep himself to his own inheritance.
10	슬로브핫의 딸들은, 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 했다.	Even as the Lord commanded Moses, so did the daughters of Zelophehad:
11	슬로브핫의 딸들인 마흘라, 디르사, 호글라, 밀가, 노아는 모두 사촌의 아내가 되었다.	For Mahlah, Tirzah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, were married unto their father’s brothers’ sons:
12	요셉의 아들 므낫세 가문 남자의 아내가 된 것이다. 그리하여 그들이 물려받은 땅은 그대로 친정아버지 지파 가문 땅이 되었다.	And they were married into the families of the sons of Manasseh the son of Joseph, and their inheritance remained in the tribe of the family of their father.
13	여호와께서 모세를 시켜 이스라엘 사람들에게 알려 주신 여러 가지 명령과 법령이 이러했다. 모압 벌판 곧 요르단강 가, 여리고 맞은편에서였다.	These are the commandments and the judgments, which the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses unto the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.
