1	제물은 여호와에게 바치라 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.	And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2	“너는 아론과 그의 아들들과 모든 이스라엘 사람에게 말해 주어라. ‘여호와께서 명령하신 말씀이 이러합니다.	Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them; This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded, saying,
3	「이스라엘 집안에서 누군가가 소나 양이나 염소를 진영 안이나 진영 밖에서 잡아 죽였다고 하자.	What man soever there be of the house of Israel, that killeth an ox, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or that killeth it out of the camp,
4	만남의 천막 입구로 그것을 가지고 와서, 여호와가 머무는 천막 앞에서 여호와에게 예물로 바치지 않았다고 하자. 그러면 그 피를 흘린 책임은 그 사람에게 돌아간다. 피를 흘리게 했으므로, 그 사람은 백성 가운데서 잘려 나갈 것이다.	And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering unto the Lord before the tabernacle of the Lord; blood shall be imputed unto that man; he hath shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people:
5	따라서 이스라엘 사람들은 그동안 들판에서 잡아 왔던 제물을 여호와에게 끌고 와야 한다. 만남의 천막 입구의 제사장에게 끌고 와서, 여호와에게 바칠 평화의희생제물(화목제물)로 잡아야 한다.	To the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices, which they offer in the open field, even that they may bring them unto the Lord, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest, and offer them for peace offerings unto the Lord.
6	그 피는 제사장이 만남의 천막 입구에 있는 여호와의 제단 위에 뿌려야 한다. 기름은 태워 연기로 바쳐서 여호와에게 구수한 냄새가 풍기게 해야 한다.	And the priest shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar of the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and burn the fat for a sweet savour unto the Lord.
7	그들이 뒤따라 놀아났던 숫염소 귀신들에게 더는 희생제물을 잡아 바치지 말아야 한다. 이것은 그들이 대대로 지켜야 할 영원한 규정이다.」’	And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their generations.
8	너는 그들에게 말해 주어라. ‘이스라엘 집안에서 누군가가 다태우는제물(번제물)이나 희생제물을 바치려 한다고 하자. 이스라엘 가운데 나그네로 살고 있는 사람 중에 누군가도 그렇게 하려 한다고 하자.	And thou shalt say unto them, Whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers which sojourn among you, that offereth a burnt offering or sacrifice,
9	제물을 만남의 천막 입구로 가져와서 여호와에게 바치지 않으면, 그 사람은 자기 백성에게서 잘려 나갈 것이다.’”	And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer it unto the Lord; even that man shall be cut off from among his people.
10	피를 먹지 말라 “‘이스라엘 집안의 사람이든 이스라엘 가운데 나그네로 살고 있는 사람이든 누군가가 어떤 피라도 먹는다고 하자. 그러면 피 먹는 그 사람한테로 내 얼굴이 향하게 하고는, 자기 백성 가운데서 잘라 내 버릴 것이다.	And whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that soul that eateth blood, and will cut him off from among his people.
11	몸의 목숨이 피에 있기 때문이다. 너희 자신의 죄를 제단에서 없애 주려고 내가 너희를 위해 제단 위에서 피를 흘리게 했다. 목숨이 들어 있는 바로 그 피가 죄를 없애 주기 때문이다.	For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
12	그러므로 내가 이스라엘 사람들에게 말했다. 「너희 가운데서는 누구도 피를 먹지 말고, 너희 가운데 나그네로 살고 있는 사람도 피를 먹지 마라!」	Therefore I said unto the children of Israel, No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourneth among you eat blood.
13	이스라엘 집안의 사람이나 이스라엘 가운데 나그네로 살고 있는 사람이 저마다, 사냥해서 먹을 짐승이나 새를 잡았다고 하자. 그러면 잡은 것의 피를 쏟고 흙으로 덮어야 한다.	And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust.
14	모든 생명체의 목숨은 그것의 피이고, 목숨이 붙어 있어야 피가 있기 때문이다. 그래서 내가 이스라엘 사람들에게 말했다. 「몸이 있는 것이면 무엇이든 그것의 피를 너희는 먹지 마라. 몸이 있는 것이면 무엇이든 그것의 피가 목숨이기 때문이다. 피를 먹는 사람은 모조리 잘려 나갈 것이다.」	For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eateth it shall be cut off.
15	토박이든 나그네든 그냥 죽은 짐승이나 찢겨 죽은 짐승을 먹었으면, 옷을 빨고 물로 몸을 씻어야 한다. 저녁까지는 더럽고, 그 뒤로는 깨끗하다.	And every soul that eateth that which died of itself, or that which was torn with beasts, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even: then shall he be clean.
16	옷을 빨지도 않고 몸을 씻지도 않으면, 자기 잘못의 짐을 짊어져야 한다.’”	But if he wash them not, nor bathe his flesh; then he shall bear his iniquity.
